Evolution of microstructural and mechanical properties of AISI 316 during continuous drive friction welding process

The aim of present study is introducing a method by subdividing friction welding phases into three steps according to the temperature change during continuous drive friction welding operation. Thermal curve allowable subdividing of the friction welding phase's time into three distinct periods, while the microstructure evolution during friction welding goes through three different situations. The effects of three distinct periods were achieved by macro-microscopy, microhardness HV_(0.1), tensile tests and scanning electronic microscopy(SEM).The results clearly show that the microstructure during the friction phase goes through three completely different situations which mechanically influenced on microstructure, tensile strength and ductility of the welded joint.

For joining high Cr,Ni and Mo austenitic stainless steel(AISI 316)by direct drive friction welding(DDFW),with friction weld-ing conditions:rotation speed of 3000 r/min,friction time of 10 s,friction pressure of 130 MPa,forge time of 5 s and forge pressure of 260 *** results of microstructure showed that the temperature at the interface reached 819℃while forge applied between 357-237℃,which subdivided welded joint into four distinct regions of highly plastically deformed zone(HPDZ),thermo-mechanically affected zone(TMAZ),heat affected zone(HAZ)and the base metal,with grain size about 10µm,100µm,90µm and 30µm *** re-gions were created due to dynamic recrystallization(DRX)at the interface and thermo-mechanical deformation with heat diffusion in the neighboring ***,high level of microhardness about 300 HV0.1 and hardness roughly 240 Hv10 at the interface due to HPDZ creation while low level of 240 HV0.1 for microhardness and moderately of 205 HV10 for hardness in neighboring regions.

The inevitable upcoming technology of autonomous vehicles(AVs)will affect our cities and several aspects of our *** widespread adoption of AVs repose at crossing distinct barriers that prevent their full *** paper presents a critical review of recent debates about AVs and analyse the key barriers to their full *** study has employed a mixed research methodology on a selected database of recently published research ***,the outcomes of this review integrate the barriers into two main categories;(1)User/Government perspectives that include(i)Users’acceptance and behaviour,(ii)Safety,and(iii)Legislation.(2)Information and Communication Technologies(ICT)which include(i)Computer software and hardware,(ii)Communication systems V2X,and(iii)accurate positioning and ***,a framework of barriers and their relations to AVs system architecture has been suggested to support future research and technology development.

Identifying and Modeling Non-Functional Concerns Relationships

Requirements elicitation step is of paramount importance in the requirements engineering process. In the distributed environment of so-called inter-company cooperative information system, this step is a thorny issue. To elicit require-ments for an inter-company cooperative information system, we early proposed a methodology called MAMIE (from MAcro to MIcro level requirements Elicitation) with an accompanied tool. In MAMIE methodology, requirements are the result of composing functional and non-functional concerns. Before non-functional concerns composition, it’s primary to identify relationships between them. According to the most existing approaches, a non-functional concern may have a negative, positive or null contribution on the other non-functional concerns. In this paper, we argue that using only these three contributions types is not sufficient to express relationships which may exist between non-functional concerns. Thus, we propose a process which aims to identify non-functional concerns’ relationships and model them using a fuzzy cognitive map. The resulting model is composed of non-functional concerns, relationships between them and the weight of these relationships expressed with linguistics fuzzy values. Using fuzzy cognitive maps to model non-functional concerns relationships allows moving from the conventional modelling toward developing a computer based model. An example from the textile industry is used to illustrate the applicability of our process.
