Surface activation of viscose textiles via air,argon,and oxygen dielectric barrier discharge plasma:influence of peak voltage

This paper discusses the use of atmospheric pressure dielectric barrier discharge(DBD)plasma treatment to enhance the surface qualities of viscose *** study explores the effects of different plasma gases,discharge voltages,and exposure times on the treated *** findings emphasize the importance of optimizing the plasma's peak voltage to achieve the desired surface treatment *** document also presents data on colour strength,wettability,colour fastness,and tensile strength of the treated fabrics,as well as scanning electron microscopy(SEm)analysis of surface morphology and chemical analysis using fouriertransition infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)and energy dispersive X-ray(EDX).The results show that treatment at a peak voltage of 11.83 k V is more efficient,except for the tensile strength which is enhanced at a peak voltage of 8.92 k *** oxygen plasma treatment significantly improves the colour strength,which exhibits an increase from 11 to *** intensified colour was attributed to the significant influence of electrostatic interactions between the charged hydroxyl groups of the oxygen plasma treated viscose textiles and the dye molecules,which enhance the *** oxygen DBD plasma exhibits a higher ability to enhance the properties of textiles when compared to air and argon *** study presents a sustainable,economical,secure,and ecologically friendly approach to explore new fabrics for specific uses.

The present study is devoted to understanding the evolution of the Upper Jurassic Sab'atayn Formation in the marib-Shabwa Basin,Yemen,through a sequence stratigraphic analysis based on integrating datasets of sedimentology,seismic sections,and well *** Sab'atayn Formation(Tithonian age)is represented by a series of clastic and evaporites that were deposited under fluvio-deltaic to prodeltaic *** is divided into four members including Yah(at the base),upwards to Seen,Alif,and Safir at the *** third-order depositional sequences were determined for the Tithonian succession which were separated by three sequence *** sequences were classified into their systems tracts signifying several sedimentation patterns of progradational,aggradational,and retrogradational parasequence *** first depositional sequence corresponds to the early-middle Tithonian Yah and Seen units that can be classified into lowstand,transgressive,and highstand systems *** second sequence comprises the late Tithonian Alif unit that can be subdivided into transgressive and highstand systems *** sandy deposits of the Alif member(highstand deposits)represent the most productive hydrocarbon reservoir in the *** Upper Jurassic sediments in the study area were resulted from a combination of eustatic and tectonic effects.

In this paper,a discrete Lotka-Volterra predator-prey model is proposed that considers mixed functional responses of Holling types I and *** equilibrium points of the model are obtained,and their stability is *** dynamical behavior of this model is studied according to the change of the control *** find that the complex dynamical behavior extends from a stable state to chaotic ***,the analytical results are clarified by some numerical simulations.

Steeply dipping prograding fan deltas possess high reservoir quality facies that could be excellent targets while exploring for *** to their complex stacking nature,and limited examples,delineating their architectural elements is still *** this paper we mainly performed sedimentary facies analysis;applying various disciplines *** stratigraphy,seismic stratigraphy,GR-log motifs,and seismic waveform segmentation;so as to adequately depict the reservoir heterogeneity and quality of the Paleozoic Nubia clastics in West Esh El mallaha Concession(southwest Gulf of Suez rift).Organic maturity prediction,to confirm the hydrocarbon charging from source units to reservoir intervals,was also of most importance in this ***,1D basin model was established to define the past geologic events;subsidence,and thermal maturity;and their controls on sedimentary basin evolution and associated petroleum *** utilized several key-information scales;*** logs,and seismic *** different disciplines applied in this study points to a successful integrated reservoir characterization workflow capable of unfolding ancient environments and the associated hydrocarbon *** results show that Nubia Formation was built during the lowstandtransgressive phase of a 3rd order depositional *** encompasses fluvio-lacustrine system with eight sedimentary facies associations;form source to *** channels and mouth bars,settled in subaerial and subaqueous settings respectively,represent the most significant reservoir facies in the *** best hydrocarbon-reservoir quality,the deltaic mouth bars ought to attract attention of further oilfield development plans and be considered while investigating similar settings.

Amination of biochar surface from watermelon peel for toxic chromium removal enhancement

Watermelon peel residues were used to produce a new biochar by dehydration *** new biochar has undergone two methods of chemical modification and the effect of this chemical modification on its ability to adsorb Cr(VI)ions from aqueous solution has been *** biochars,melon-B,melon-BO-NH_(2) and melon-BO-TETA,were made from watermelon peel via dehydration with 50%sulfuric acid to give melon-B followed by oxidation with ozone and amination using ammonium hydroxide to give melon-BO-NH_(2) or Triethylenetetramine(TETA)to give *** prepared biochars were characterized by BET,BJH,SEm,FT-IR,TGA,DSC and EDAX *** highest removal percentage of Cr(VI)ions was 69%for melon-B,98%for melon-BO-NH_(2) and 99%for melon-BO-TETA biochars of 100 mg·L^(−1) Cr(VI)ions initial concentration and 1.0 g·L^(−1) adsorbents *** unmodified biochar(melon-B)and modified biochars(melon-BO-NH_(2) and melon-BO-TETA)had maximum adsorption capacities(Q_(m))of 72.46,123.46,and 333.33 mg·g^(−1),*** amination of biochar reduced the pore size of modified biochar,whereas the surface area was *** obtained data of isotherm models were tested using different error function *** Freundlich,Tempkin and Langmuir isotherm models were best fitted to the experimental data of melon-B,melon-BO-NH_(2) and melon-BO-TETA,*** adsorption rate was primarily controlled by pseudo-second–order rate ***,the functional groups interactions are important for adsorption mechanisms and expected to control the adsorption *** adsorption for the melon-B,melon-BO-NH_(2) and melon-BO-TETA could be explained for acid–base interaction and hydrogen bonding interaction.

3D-static reservoir and basin modeling of a lacustrine fan-deltaic system in the Gulf of Suez,Egypt

Lacustrine-fan deltas feature high reservoir-quality lithounits that are critical targets to hydrocarbon exploration and ***,depicting their intricate sedimentary architectural elements is still challenging due to complex stacking-patterns and limited *** this study,both 3D-static geocellular reservoir modeling and 1D-basin modeling approaches were combined as an established effective workflow that is capable of efficiently delineating reservoir-heterogeneities and confirming *** integration was for the purpose of unlocking the ultimate petroleum potential of fluvio-lacustrine units,Nubia Formation,in the southwest of the Gulf of Suez rift(West Esh-Elmallaha Concession,Egypt).Pixel-based stochastic-simulation was applied,constrained by an established depositional-model developed after adequate integrated-facies analysis,upon geocellularly modeling rock and fluid properties of Nubia reservoir intervals;utilizing several key-information scales(seismic-profiles,well-logs).The results reveal a lowstand-transgressive systems tract encompassing fluvio-lacustrine depositional-systems subdivided into eight facies-associations,of which fluvialchannels and deltaic mouth bars represent significant reservoir-quality *** efficient reservoir-quality,mouth sand-bars deserve special consideration,and testing,while running further oilfield development-endeavours and investigating similar-settings.

Separation of rare earth elements from sulfate leach liquor by heterocyclic nitrogen compound

Separation of rare earth dements by solvent extraction has actually been widely used in various fields from analytical chemistry to hydrometallurgy. A representative ore sample obtained from Kadabora Batholiths-Eastern Desert of Egypt, containing the multiple oxides rare earth minerals： Samarskite, Fergusonite, Betafite, and Pyrochlore, was subjected to sulfuric acid leaching. Different sets of equilibrium loading experiments were carded out on a bench scale for the extraction of rare earths （cerium and yttrium） from the sulfate leach liquor using 8,9-dihydro[1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-a]quinazolin-6（TH）-one {TQ} dissolved in methylene chloride. Stripping was carded out by 20% sodium hydroxide. A rare earth cake was produced by oxalic acid precipitation. Its purity reached 87.3%.

A study of thirteen geothermal springs located in the geothermal field of Guelma,northeastern Algeria,was *** were collected during the period between January 2014 and February *** processes responsible for the chemical composition of thermal and mineralized water were *** hydrochemical analysis shows that the thermal waters are characterized by the presence of two different chemical facies,the first type SO4-Ca in the east,west and south of Guelma,the second type HCO3-Ca in the *** analysis also attributed to sodium,chlorides,and sulfates to an evaporitic terrigenous origin by the molar ratio Sr2+/Ca2+.The thermal spring waters from Guelma geothermal system have a meteoric origin,and all samples are immature with strong mixing between hot and shallow waters with 19-38.5%rate of *** silica geothermometer shows that these thermal waters have a temperature varying from 84 to 122℃and that the water came from a depth of 2100-3000 m through a fault system that limits the pullapart basin of *** environmental effluent from thermal spas could pollute in both the irrigation and drinking waters,and which imposes danger on the health of the inhabitants of the region.

Validation of degree-day models for predict!ng the emergence of two fruit flies (Diptera: lephritidae) in northeast Egypt

We estimated thermal developmental thresholds(7o)and degree-day(DD)constants for the immature stages of two tephritid pests,Bcictrocera zonata(Saunders)and Ceratitis capitata(Weidenmann).males of both species were trapped in an Egyptian guava orchard during the fruiting seasons of 2016 and 2017 and trap catches were compared with peak flights predicted by the DD model based on local weather *** capitata had faster development than *** at 20 and 25°C,but their overall developmental rate was similar at 30 and 35°*** thermal threshold of development(7o)of *** was higher than that of ***,indicating greater sensitivity to *** 35°C yielded the fastest development of both species,survival was higher at 30°C,with *** experiencing a slight advantage,suggesting better tropical *** development of *** and *** was estimated to require 338 and 373 d,respectively,and 616 and 424 DD for a complete *** catches over both seasons showed good correspondence to peaks of fly activity predicted by the DD models;deviations from expectation ranged from 0 to 7 d for both fly *** species had four overlapping generations per season,with *** abundance peaking in the first generation in both years,but only in 2016 for *** models predict about eight and 12 generations per year in northeast Egypt for *** and ***,*** models should be useful for timing pest control measures to coincide with periods of peak fly activity in fruit orchards.
