Surface activation of viscose textiles via air,argon,and oxygen dielectric barrier discharge plasma:influence of peak voltage

This paper discusses the use of atmospheric pressure dielectric barrier discharge(DBD)plasma treatment to enhance the surface qualities of viscose *** study explores the effects of different plasma gases,discharge voltages,and exposure times on the treated *** findings emphasize the importance of optimizing the plasma's peak voltage to achieve the desired surface treatment *** document also presents data on colour strength,wettability,colour fastness,and tensile strength of the treated fabrics,as well as scanning electron microscopy(SEm)analysis of surface morphology and chemical analysis using fouriertransition infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)and energy dispersive X-ray(EDX).The results show that treatment at a peak voltage of 11.83 k V is more efficient,except for the tensile strength which is enhanced at a peak voltage of 8.92 k *** oxygen plasma treatment significantly improves the colour strength,which exhibits an increase from 11 to *** intensified colour was attributed to the significant influence of electrostatic interactions between the charged hydroxyl groups of the oxygen plasma treated viscose textiles and the dye molecules,which enhance the *** oxygen DBD plasma exhibits a higher ability to enhance the properties of textiles when compared to air and argon *** study presents a sustainable,economical,secure,and ecologically friendly approach to explore new fabrics for specific uses.

Evaluation of commercial banks(CBs)performance has been a signicant issue in the nancial world and deemed as a multi-criteria decision making(mCDm)*** research assesses CB performance according to different metrics and *** a result of uncertainty in decision-making problems and large economic variations in Egypt,this research proposes a plithogenic based model to evaluate Egyptian commercial banks’performance based on a set of *** proposed model evaluates the top ten Egyptian commercial banks based on three main metrics including nancial,customer satisfaction,and qualitative evaluation,and 19 *** proportional importance of the selected criteria is evaluated by the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP).Furthermore,the Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution(TOPSIS),Vlse Kriterijumska Optimizacija Kompro-misno Resenje(VIKOR),and COmplex PRoportional ASsessment(COPRAS)are adopted to rank the top ten Egyptian banks based on their performance,*** main role of this research is to apply the proposed integrated mCDm framework under the plithogenic environment to measure the performance of the CBs under *** results show that CIB has the best performance while Faisal Islamic Bank and Bank Audi have the least performance among the top 10 CBs in Egypt.

The present study is devoted to understanding the evolution of the Upper Jurassic Sab'atayn Formation in the marib-Shabwa Basin,Yemen,through a sequence stratigraphic analysis based on integrating datasets of sedimentology,seismic sections,and well *** Sab'atayn Formation(Tithonian age)is represented by a series of clastic and evaporites that were deposited under fluvio-deltaic to prodeltaic *** is divided into four members including Yah(at the base),upwards to Seen,Alif,and Safir at the *** third-order depositional sequences were determined for the Tithonian succession which were separated by three sequence *** sequences were classified into their systems tracts signifying several sedimentation patterns of progradational,aggradational,and retrogradational parasequence *** first depositional sequence corresponds to the early-middle Tithonian Yah and Seen units that can be classified into lowstand,transgressive,and highstand systems *** second sequence comprises the late Tithonian Alif unit that can be subdivided into transgressive and highstand systems *** sandy deposits of the Alif member(highstand deposits)represent the most productive hydrocarbon reservoir in the *** Upper Jurassic sediments in the study area were resulted from a combination of eustatic and tectonic effects.

In this letter,we comment on a recent case report by Sun et al in the World Journal of *** report describes the successful management of a rare complication:The unloading or detachment of a bioresorbable stent(BRS)during percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)in a male *** unloading of BRS was detected via angiography and intravascular ultrasound(IVUS)imaging of the left coronary artery and left anterior descending *** this case is interesting,the authors’report lacked crucial ***,insufficient information about the type of BRS used,potential causes of BRS unloading,or whether optical coherence tomography(OCT)imaging for coronary arteries was performed before,during,or after *** OCT imaging of coronary arteries before PCI can potentially prevent BRS unloading due to its higher resolution compared to *** addition,despite detecting myocardial bridging during the PCI,the authors did not provide any details regarding this *** we discuss the various types of BRS,the importance of OCT in PCI,and the clinical relevance of myocardial bridging.

Parabens are antimicrobial preservatives with extensive applications in cosmetics,toiletries,pharmaceuticals,and *** the legitimate concerns relating to their potential to disrupt multiple endocrine functions,it becomes imperative to prioritize the development of innovative bioanalytical techniques for effectively monitoring their presence in biological *** this study,an efficient solvent bar microextraction(SBmE)was established,utilizing new hydrophobic deep eutectic solvents(DEs)to determine methylparaben and propylparaben in urine and plasma *** DEs comprising menthol and tris(2-ethylhexyl)phosphate(m-TEHP)at various molar ratios were synthesized for the first time to enhance the extraction capacity and promote the eco-friendliness of the DE used as an extraction ***-transform infrared(FT-IR)and proton nuclear magnetic resonance(1H NmR)spectroscopies were employed to confirm and investigate the properties of the successful synthesis(m-TEHP)DE at a molar ratio of 1:*** synthesized DE exhibits low microbial toxicity and can be considered an eco-friendly solvent for ***,quantum-chemical calculations were utilized to predict synthesized DE's structure and interaction energy with selected *** influential operational factors of DE-SBmE on the extraction efficiency(EE%)of both parabens were evaluated using response surface methodology based on central composite design,and a total of 30 extraction tests were conducted to determine the optimal *** optimized DE-SBmE,in combination with HPLC-DAD,exhibited low detection limits(0.54–0.91μg L^(−1)),excellent linearity(R^(2)≥0.9993),precise results(RSDs≤7.6%),satisfactory recoveries(92–97%)and negligible matrix ***,it had remarkable effectiveness and applicability in determining selected parabens in real urine and plasma samples.

Primary Hyperoxaluria Type 1 in Adulthood: Case Series

Introduction: Primary hyperoxaluria type 1 (HP1) is a rare lithiasis with systemic involvement, due to the accumulation of calcium oxalate crystals. In the absence of therapeutic management, it progresses to end-stage chronic renal failure. The aim of this study is to describe and analyse the observations of our patients with HP1. Patients and methods: This is a retrospective study carried out between 2014 and 2023 in the Nephrology-Dialysis Transplant Department of the Ibn Sina University Hospital in Rabat. The clinical, paraclinical and evolutionary elements were taken from the patients’ medical records. Results: We collected 11 cases, with a mean age of 27 ± 8.5 years and a m/F sex ratio of 1.7. The diagnosis of HP1 was made on the basis of genetic analysis in 8 patients, morphological and spectro-photometric analysis of the calculus in one patient, biopsy of the graft in one patient and crystalluria and a family history of PH1 in one patient. Two patients died, and 8 patients were on chronic haemdialysis with systemic damage. Only one patient maintained a stable GFR at 60 ml/min. Conclusion: Early diagnosis combined with conservative treatment is the only way to limit the rapid progression of this disease. This requires awareness and collaboration between nephrologists, urologists and biologists within a specialised team.

The Impact of Single Low Dose IV magnesium Sulphate Adjuvant to Ultrasound Guided Transverses Abdominis Plain Block for Control of Postcesarean Pain

Objective: The aim of this study is to determine the role of preoperative low dose intravenous mgSO4 when given adjuvant to ultrasound guided transversus abdominis plane (TAP) block in augmenting postcesarean analgesic effects and reducing opioid requirements during the first 24 hours. Subjects and methods: In this prospective, randomized double blind study, a total of sixty full term pregnant women were recruited for the study underwent caesarean section. Thirty patients were assigned to mgSO4 group (A) and another thirty to placebo group (B). Participants in group (A) received 50 mg/kg mgSO4 in 100 ml isotonic saline intravenous (IV) over 20 minutes prior to induction of general anesthesia by 30 minutes while participants in group (B) received 100 ml isotonic saline (placebo) by the same route and over the same duration as control. Results: Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) was analysed within 24 hours postoperatively. The mean pain score at 6 and 12 hours postoperatively was significantly lower in mgSO4 group compared to control group (40.4 ± 5.12 vs 53.6 ± 4.92;26.1 ± 3.01 vs 35.5 ± 3.98 respectively, p = 0.012, 0.005). Comparing both groups regarding the mean time interval of first rescue analgesia (morphine sulphate) requested by the patients, it was longer in mgSO4 group compared to control group. The total dose of rescue analgesia consumed during 24 hours was analysed and it was significantly higher in control group compared to mgSO4 group (10.1 ± 0.95 vs 6.2 ± 0.87, p = 0.001). Conclusion: We concluded that preoperative low doses (50 mg/Kg) of mgSO4 with general anesthesia combined with ultrasound guided TAP block offer longer postoperative pain free periods thus reducing total opioid consumption. In addition to the safety of the drug to the mother and fetus so we recommend IV mgSO4 as an adjuvant therapy with TAP block.

Steeply dipping prograding fan deltas possess high reservoir quality facies that could be excellent targets while exploring for *** to their complex stacking nature,and limited examples,delineating their architectural elements is still *** this paper we mainly performed sedimentary facies analysis;applying various disciplines *** stratigraphy,seismic stratigraphy,GR-log motifs,and seismic waveform segmentation;so as to adequately depict the reservoir heterogeneity and quality of the Paleozoic Nubia clastics in West Esh El mallaha Concession(southwest Gulf of Suez rift).Organic maturity prediction,to confirm the hydrocarbon charging from source units to reservoir intervals,was also of most importance in this ***,1D basin model was established to define the past geologic events;subsidence,and thermal maturity;and their controls on sedimentary basin evolution and associated petroleum *** utilized several key-information scales;*** logs,and seismic *** different disciplines applied in this study points to a successful integrated reservoir characterization workflow capable of unfolding ancient environments and the associated hydrocarbon *** results show that Nubia Formation was built during the lowstandtransgressive phase of a 3rd order depositional *** encompasses fluvio-lacustrine system with eight sedimentary facies associations;form source to *** channels and mouth bars,settled in subaerial and subaqueous settings respectively,represent the most significant reservoir facies in the *** best hydrocarbon-reservoir quality,the deltaic mouth bars ought to attract attention of further oilfield development plans and be considered while investigating similar settings.
