Antibiotic bone cement's effect on infection rates in primary and revision total knee arthroplasties

AIM To compare infection rates in primary and revision total knee arthroplasty(TKA) procedures using antibiotic impregnated bone cement(AIBC) to those rates in procedures not using *** A systematic review and meta-analysis was conducted in search for randomized controlled trials/studies(RCTs) pertaining to the field of antibiotic AIBC vs non-AIBC groups in both primary and revision TKA procedures. The primary literature search performed was to identify all RCTs that assessed AIBC in primary and revision TKA procedures. This search was done strictly through the Pub Med database using the article "filters" setting that identified and separated all RCTs from the overall search. The original search was "Primary/revision total knee arthroplasty using AIBC". Other key terms and phrases were included in the search as well. Eligible articles that were used in the "results" of this review met the following criteria:(1) Involved primary or revision TKA procedures(for any reason);(2) included TKA outcome infection rate information;(3) analyzed an AIBC group vs a non-AIBC control group;(4) were found through the RCT filter or hand search in Pub Med; and(5) published 1985-2017. Exclusion criteria was as follows:(1) Patients that were not undergoing primary or revision TKA procedures;(2) articles that did not separate total hip arthroplasity(THA) vs TKA results if both hip and knee revisions were evaluated;(3) papers that did not follow up on clinical outcomes of the procedure;(4) extrapolation of data was not possible given published results;(5) knee revisions not done on human patients;(6) studies that were strictly done on THAs;(7) articles that were not found through the RCT filter or through hand search in Pub Med;(8) articles that did not evaluate AIBC used in a prosthesis or a spacer during revision;(9) articles that did not compare an AIBC group vs a non-AIBC control group; and(10) articles that were published before *** In total, 11 articles were deemed

包含产品几何与非几何信息的产品装配要求是装配工艺设计的主要依据,对装配工艺设计决策结果具有决定性的影响。在装配工艺模型中描述产品的几何相关信息能够更好地表达如装配顺序,装配路径等内容,同时可以更好地辅助装配工艺决策,提高决策的自动化水平。提出一种几何增强的装配工艺本体模型,利用语义本体技术,建立产品几何信息在装配工艺中的描述方法,数据结构与关系描述。并以该模型为基础,建立基于几何增强装配工艺本体的装配工艺决策框架。该框架分为两部分:一是采用几何增强的装配工艺本体模型描述产品几何信息和装配工艺信息的数据结构和相互关系;二是为了让几何信息与装配工艺信息之间存在的丰富的隐含关系显性化,对语义本体推理机制进行增强,提出推理单元的概念,使决策框架具有从产品几何信息中推理装配工艺相关信息的能力,有效地支持装配工艺决策。以针对某传动器产品装配顺序决策的过程,验证所提出的几何增强装配工艺本体模型与框架的有效性。

Luminosity and contrast variation problems are among the most challenging tasks in the image processing field,significantly improving image *** is implemented by adjusting the dark or bright intensity to improve the quality of the images and increase the segmentation ***,numerous methods had been proposed to normalise the luminosity and contrast variation.A new approach based on a direct technique using statistical data known as Hybrid Statistical enhancement(HSE)is presented in this *** method uses themean and standard deviation of a local and global neighbourhood and classified the pixel into three groups;the foreground,border,and problematic region(contrast&luminosity).The datasets,namely weld defect images,were utilised to demonstrate the effectiveness of the HSE *** results from the visual and objective aspects showed that the HSE method could normalise the luminosity and enhance the contrast variation problem *** proposed method was compared to the two(2)populor enhancement methods which is Homomorphic Filter(HF)and Difference of Gaussian(DoG).To prove the HSE effectiveness,a few image quality assessments were presented,and the results were *** HSE method achieved a better result compared to the other methods,which are Signal Noise Ratio(8.920),Standard Deviation(18.588)and Absolute Mean Brightness Error(9.356).In conclusion,implementing the HSE method has produced an effective and efficient result for background correction and quality images improvement.

The research studies the least expensive ways to produce freshwater from the sea and extract gold, by taking advantage of the characteristics of seawater with a high density compared to the lower density of freshwater, and different estimates of the amount of gold present in seas and oceans (between 10 - 30 grams per 1 km3) and the total volume of gold in the sea (between 15 - 45 thousand tons), which will often be more than that due to the continuous sedimentation from the rivers, and the gold contains impurities that are attracted to the magnet, and therefore it is possible to catch it by means of “super strong magnets”;its strength reaches 1000 tons;it is placed at the bottom of a designated basin, so that the gold is attracted to the bottom, and the most saline types of water are deposited at the bottom, and freshwater floats to the top (by 1/4), and this is done by allocating a separate building to the magnet and large areas around it, and designing a water course dedicated to that, and lakes to collect Seawater and pass it on the magnet, which will cause the formation of lakes for freshwater, and other lakes for types of seawater minerals, and it is also possible to use “super-strong magnets” to attract gold from river water and seas, and from the tailings of gold mines, and it will eventually cause Providing huge quantities of freshwater to be used in agricultural and industrial expansion and the establishment of new societies, and gold is gradually turning into a commonly used metal just a “yellow stainless metal”.

This paper reviews a strategic scientific proposal to dig and construct three navigable sea lanes linking isolated inland seas and blocked side bays and linking it with the open seas, to facilitate the movement of free trade and international navigation, and to break the captivity of geographically isolated environments, and to give a strategic advantage to some areas and sectors that are neglected politically, socially, economically and environmentally, and to adopt the strategy of establishing a marine channel between the “Caspian Sea” and the “Black Sea” through the “lands belonging to Russia”. On digging a navigational canal at the lowest cost in a plain area within the territory of Russia, with a length of approximately 600 kilometers (616 km), starting from the nearest bay in the Caspian Sea, passing near the city of “Pyatigorsk” to the city of “Sochi” on the Black Sea, while it comes: -The strategy of the waterway and the sea channel between the “Caspian Sea” and the “Arabian Gulf” through the “lands belonging to Iran” by digging and cutting a path in the rocks with a width of 100 meters and a length of about 700 kilometers, and at a time rate of less than 10 years, and this project will liberate all countries in the Caspian Sea, and the study concludes with the strategy of the navigational channel between the “Arabian Gulf” and the “Mediterranean Sea” through the two countries of “Iraq-Syria”, with a length of about 1350 km, and the world will benefit in the security, commercial and political fields.

Separation of rare earth dements by solvent extraction has actually been widely used in various fields from analytical chemistry to hydrometallurgy. A representative ore sample obtained from Kadabora Batholiths-Eastern Desert of Egypt, containing the multiple oxides rare earth minerals： Samarskite, Fergusonite, Betafite, and Pyrochlore, was subjected to sulfuric acid leaching. Different sets of equilibrium loading experiments were carded out on a bench scale for the extraction of rare earths （cerium and yttrium） from the sulfate leach liquor using 8,9-dihydro[1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-a]quinazolin-6（TH）-one {TQ} dissolved in methylene chloride. Stripping was carded out by 20% sodium hydroxide. A rare earth cake was produced by oxalic acid precipitation. Its purity reached 87.3%.

The research develops a new plan that follows a precise system for drilling at the bottom of the water, by creating a “digging corridor” that allows people to move from the top of the surface of rivers or seas and oceans to the bottom, allowing all the huge mechanical equipment to be lowered to continue drilling at the bottom vertically, until reaching rocky soil;in order to change the drilling paths and “develop the attack”, and establish long corridors to obtain the dysfunctional economic wealth, the project can be used in scientific research and the establishment of cities in the future below the seabed. There are different characteristics of drilling in fresh and salt water, due to the difference in water quality, current speed and nature soil analysis, erosion power, and erosion. The research was divided between easy ways to reach simple depths (10 - 20 meters), using various cheap means, and strategies for establishing “drilling corridors” at medium (more than 20 - less than 100 meters) and large depths (from 100 meters - less than 1 kilometer), which depends on the construction of a concrete building with a large base, which enables it to successfully perform its role, and at great depths (more than 1 kilometer) require adding more supports to the building, and emergency plans have been taken care of. It is important to establish strong electronic doors to protect tunnel passages, such as: closing them at the time of danger, preparing sectors for evacuation, and the possibility of selling the “digging corridor” and tunnels, or gifting them to scientists, or moving them and closing or blowing up the underpasses. In conclusion, this research will contribute to “opening a new environment”, to the activity of Wan Humans divorce in the future.

Clinical Research on Cinnamomi Cortex: A Scoping Review

There are over 250 species of cinnamon. Each has its distinct morphology and phytochemical composition, which may result in varied therapeutic effects. However, clinical studies have rarely put emphasis on the species of cinnamon being investigated. This scoping review summarized the clinical evidence of Cinnamomum cassia (also known as Cinnamomum aromaticum), which is the species of cinnamon used in traditional Chinese medicine. Electronic searches were conducted on PubMed from its inception till August 2021. Clinical studies that were published in english, stating monotherapy with Cinnamomum cassia, Cinnamomum aromaticum, or “Rou Gui” were included. The 15 included clinical studies investigated the effects of Cinnamomum cassia on type-2 diabetes patients (n=7), and healthy adults (n=8). In the type 2 diabetes population, Cinnamomum cassia supplementation of as low as 1 g/d seemed to improve HbA1c in only poorly controlled diabetes. In the healthy population, Cinnamomum cassia supplementation appeared to influence blood glucose response in a dose-dependent manner, with current studies indicating a minimum of 5 g/d to achieve significant improvement. Studies also showed potential improvement in insulin sensitivity with prolonged Cinnamomum cassia supplementation. However, there were apparent heterogeneity among studies and uncertainties regarding the accuracy of reported cinnamon species. Therefore, the therapeutic effects of Cinnamomum cassia remain inconclusive. Future larger scale and more rigorous clinical studies, with clear identification of Cinnamomum species used, are needed for more conclusive evidence of the clinical effects of Cinnamomum cassia.
