Contact Stress Distribution of a Pear Cam Profile with Roller Follower Mechanism

The problem of this paper is the high contact stress at the point of contact between the cam and the follower.A pear cam and roller follower mechanism were studied and analyzed for different position of the follower and different contact compression *** objective of this paper is to study the effect of contact compression load on the contact stress distribution of the cam profile at the point of *** different positions of the follower with the cam was considered(0°,90°,180°,and 270°).The theory of circular plate was applied to derive the analytic solution of the contact *** numerical simulation had been done using ANSYS Ver.19.2 package to determine the contact stress,while SolidWorks software was used to investigate follower displacement,velocity,and *** distinct values of the compression contact load,such as 3.121 N,6.242 N,9.364 N,and 12.485 N,were used in the numerical *** the experiment setup,a photo-elastic technique was carried out in the field of polarized light to exhibit the stress distribution on the cam *** annealed PSM-4 backalate material was used in the experiment *** experimental value of contact stress was checked and verified analytically and numerically at the point of *** innovation in this paper the use of spring-damper system which reduce the value of contact stress at the point of *** contact stress was maximum 2.136 MPa when the follower located at 270°with the cam,while the contact stress was minimum 1.802 MPa when the follower located at 180°at compression load 12.485 N.

Sex Predictive Value of Frontal Sinus Index Compared to Maxillary Sinus Index:Lateral Cephalometric Study

Sex estimation is a crucial step to outline the biological profile of unknown human *** frontal and maxillary sinuses have unique anatomical features and can be utilized efficiently in individual *** studies investigated the frontal and maxillary sinus indexes separately for sex ***,comparing the predictive value of the frontal sinus index(FSI)to the maxillary sinus index(MSI)has not been investigated *** study aimed to evaluate the sex predicting value of FSI compared to MSI assessed on digital lateral *** retrospective cross-sectional study included 88 digital lateral cephalometric images of known sex(44 males and 44 females)and age(20-50 years).Two radiologists measured the maximum anteroposterior sinus width and height of the frontal sinus and maxillary ***,the sinus index was calculated for each *** obtained frontal and maxillary sinuses parameters were tabulated,along with the patient’s sex and age,and subjected to statistical *** results revealed significant differences between males and females regarding frontal sinus width,FSI,and *** discriminant function analysis obtained in this study accurately predicted sex with an overall accuracy of 71.6%(81.8%of males and 61.4%of females)using FSI,and 60.2%(63.6%in females and 56.8%in males)using *** and maxillary sinus indexes can be useful tools for sex *** function equations were developed for both the frontal and maxillary sinus indexes with higher accuracy rates for FSI compared to MSI.

An Age of Emerging and Reemerging Pandemic Threats

Today, we are confronted with an unprecedented crisis this world has never experienced before. Infectious diseases remain among the leading causes of death and disability worldwide. Epidemics of new and old infectious diseases periodically emerge, greatly magnifying the global burden of infections. Humans are constantly exposed to a huge diversity of viruses, though those of others mammals are of greatest importance. Persistence of SARS-CoV-2 as an endemic virus may be fueled by pockets of susceptible individuals and waning immunity after infection or vaccination, changes in the virus through antigenic drift that diminish protection and re-entries from zoonotic reservoirs. Moreover, these viruses are very genetically diverse and new genotypes, strains and species evolve rapidly. The emergence of new human viruses is a long-standing and ongoing biological process. We must anticipate the emergence and/or discovery of more new human viruses in the coming years and decades. The spillover of viruses from animals to humans is the major source of pandemic risk. Life threatening situations demand extraordinary response and more stringent measures to contain the pandemic. The first line of defence against emerging viruses is effective surveillance. Rapid detection and identification of emerging pathogen leading to the rapid introduction of preventive measures can prove highly effective in combating outbreaks of novel diseases. A coordinated, global surveillance network is essential if we are to ensure rapid detection of novel viruses. Improving the situation will require both political will and considerable investment in infrastructure, human capacity and new tools. To ensure global preparedness, newer vaccines, diagnostics and antiviral agents are being developed. Infectious diseases can be prevented at a variety of points, depending on the infectious cycle for the particular disease. Disasters may occur at any time and place without little to no presage in *** the development of surveillance and forecasting systems,it is now possible to forebode the most life-threatening and formidable ***,forestﬁres are among the ones that are still hard to anticipate beforehand,and the technologies to detect and plot their possible courses are still in *** Aerial Vehicle(UAV)image-basedﬁre detection systems can be a viable solution to this ***,these automatic systems use advanced deep learning and image processing algorithms at their core and can be tuned to provide accurate ***,this article proposed a forestﬁre detection method based on a Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)architecture using a newﬁre detection ***,our method also uses separable convolution layers(requiring less computational resources)for immediateﬁre detection and typical convolution ***,making it suitable for real-time ***,after being trained on the dataset,experimental results show that the method can identify forestﬁres within images with a 97.63%accuracy,98.00%F1 Score,and 80%***,if deployed in practical circumstances,this identiﬁcation method can be used as an assistive tool to detectﬁre outbreaks,allowing the authorities to respond quickly and deploy preventive measures to minimize damage.

Text-To-Speech(TTS)is a speech processing tool that is highly helpful for visually-challenged *** TTS tool is applied to transform the texts into human-like ***,it is highly challenging to accomplish the TTS out-comes for the non-diacritized text of the Arabic language since it has multiple unique features and *** special characters like gemination and diacritic signs that correspondingly indicate consonant doubling and short vowels greatly impact the precise pronunciation of the Arabic ***,such signs are not frequently used in the texts written in the Arabic language since its speakers and readers can guess them from the context *** this background,the current research article introduces an Optimal Deep Learning-driven Arab Text-to-Speech Synthesizer(ODLD-ATSS)model to help the visually-challenged people in the Kingdom of Saudi *** prime aim of the presented ODLD-ATSS model is to convert the text into speech signals for visually-challenged *** attain this,the presented ODLD-ATSS model initially designs a Gated Recurrent Unit(GRU)-based prediction model for diacritic and gemination ***,the Buckwalter code is utilized to capture,store and display the Arabic *** improve the TSS performance of the GRU method,the Aquila Optimization Algorithm(AOA)is used,which shows the novelty of the *** illustrate the enhanced performance of the proposed ODLD-ATSS model,further experi-mental analyses were *** proposed model achieved a maximum accu-racy of 96.35%,and the experimental outcomes infer the improved performance of the proposed ODLD-ATSS model over other DL-based TSS models.

A study of thirteen geothermal springs located in the geothermal field of Guelma,northeastern Algeria,was *** were collected during the period between January 2014 and February *** processes responsible for the chemical composition of thermal and mineralized water were *** hydrochemical analysis shows that the thermal waters are characterized by the presence of two different chemical facies,the first type SO4-Ca in the east,west and south of Guelma,the second type HCO3-Ca in the *** analysis also attributed to sodium,chlorides,and sulfates to an evaporitic terrigenous origin by the molar ratio Sr2+/Ca2+.The thermal spring waters from Guelma geothermal system have a meteoric origin,and all samples are immature with strong mixing between hot and shallow waters with 19-38.5%rate of *** silica geothermometer shows that these thermal waters have a temperature varying from 84 to 122℃and that the water came from a depth of 2100-3000 m through a fault system that limits the pullapart basin of *** environmental effluent from thermal spas could pollute in both the irrigation and drinking waters,and which imposes danger on the health of the inhabitants of the region.

Quantifying non-classical correlations under thermal effects in a double cavity optomechanical system

We investigate the generation of quantum correlations between mechanical modes and optical modes in an optomechanical system,using the rotating wave *** system is composed of two Fabry-Pérot cavities separated in space;each of the two cavities has a movable *** aim is the evaluation of entanglement between mechanical modes and optical modes,generated by correlations transfer from the squeezed light to the system,using Gaussian intrinsic entanglement as a witness of entanglement in continuous variables Gaussian states,and the quantification of the degree of mixedness of the Gaussian states using the ***,we quantify nonclassical correlations between mechanical modes and optical modes even beyond entanglement by considering Gaussian geometric discord via the Hellinger ***,entanglement,mixdness,and quantum discord are analyzed as a function of the parameters characterizing the system(thermal bath temperature,squeezing parameter,and optomechanical cooperativity).We find that,under thermal effect,when entanglement vanishes,purity and quantum discord remain ***,the Gaussian Hellinger discord is more robust than *** effects of the other parameters are discussed in detail.
