The fast-paced growth of artificial intelligence applications provides unparalleled opportunities to improve the efficiency of various *** as the transportation sector faces many obstacles following the implementation and integration of different vehicular and environmental aspects *** congestion is among the major issues in this regard which demands serious attention due to the rapid growth in the number of vehicles on the *** address this overwhelming problem,in this article,a cloudbased intelligent road traffic congestion prediction model is proposed that is empowered with a hybrid Neuro-Fuzzy *** aim of the study is to reduce the delay in the queues,the vehicles experience at different road junctions across the *** proposed model also intended to help the automated traffic control systems by minimizing the congestion particularly in a smart city environment where observational data is obtained from various implanted Internet of Things(IoT)sensors across the *** due preprocessing over the cloud server,the proposed approach makes use of this data by incorporating the neuro-fuzzy ***,it possesses a high level of accuracy by means of intelligent decision making with minimum error *** results reveal the accuracy of the proposed model as 98.72%during the validation phase in contrast to the highest accuracies achieved by state-of-the-art techniques in the literature such as 90.6%,95.84%,97.56%and 98.03%,*** far as the training phase analysis is concerned,the proposed scheme exhibits 99.214% accuracy. The proposed prediction modelis a potential contribution towards smart cities environment.

Entanglement due to the interaction of a two level atom with a laser and quantized field is investigated. The role of the nonlinearity due to these interactions is discussed. It is found that the nonlinearity changes strongly the behavior of the entanglement also the detuning parameters have important role in the structure of the measure of entanglement.

Relationship between the Components of the Metabolic Syndrome and Measures of Bone Mineral Density in Post-Menopausal Women

Aim: To examine the association between individual components of metabolic syndrome (MetS) and bone mineral density (BMD) among postmenopausal women. Methods: A total of 177 postmenopausal women participated in a cross-sectional study. They were interviewed to collect anthropometric and demographic characteristics. BMD was measured and biochemical parameters were estimated in fasting blood samples. Univariate and multivariate analyses were used to examine the association between individual components of MetS and BMD. Results: Among 177 postmenopausal women, 116 (66%) had MetS. Women with MetS had significantly higher mean values of BMD and T scores at the total hip (P alues at the three skeletal sites, except for diastolic blood pressure association with BMD at the femoral neck (r = 0.150, P al hip was also positively associated with both of triglycerides (r = 0.157, P al sites according to metabolic states, stepwise multiple linear regression analysis was performed. Conclusions: Body weight and osteocalcin were more strongly associated with bone mass than any other component of MetS in postmenopausal women. However, further studies seem to be needed to confirm their observation.

Research Progress of Cardiac Myosin Binding Protein C in Dilated Cardiomyopathy and Other Cardiac Conditions

Since its discovery, myosin-binding protein C (cMyBP-C) has become a protein of interest clinically. With emergence of new methodologies and technologies, the structure and functions of cMyBP-C from different aspects can be studied, enabling us to better understand its involvement in certain cardiac conditions. Studying its kinetics of release and clearance from the circulation and by comparing to other conventional biomarkers, it has been reported that cMyBP-C is eligible to be a novel biomarker for several cardiac conditions. Moreover, studying the genetics and their involvement in pathogenic mechanisms has opened the ideas for potential therapeutic strategies. More and more researches are constantly being done to better understand the role of cMyBP-C in dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM). The importance of cMyBP-C to the heart is still actively being investigated. Its presence is however crucial for sarcomere organization and proper regulation of cardiac contraction during systole and complete relaxation during diastole. Genetic mutation in cMyBP-C has been linked to cardiac conditions including hypertrophic and dilated cardiomyopathies. Around 350 types of mutations have already been documented leading to various cardiac conditions and abnormalities. Analyzing human heart samples has enabled us to better understand the importance of cMyBP-C and how its mutations lead to inherited cardiomyopathies. It is therefore necessary to have an update about the research progress of cMyBP-C in relation to DCM and other cardiac conditions.

Transoral flexible laryngoscope biopsy:Safety and accuracy

Objective:To determine the accuracy of transoral flexible laryngoscope (TFL) biopsy and also to identify the safety as office based procedure in terms of ***:This is a diagnostic study;the type of intervention is outpatient department based biopsy of laryngeal *** patients seen in ENT outpatient department of Lyari General Hospital with suspicious lesions of Larynx were referred for Transoral Flexible Laryngoscopy Biopsy under local *** specimens were sent for *** patients with benign pathology or carcinoma in situ were referred for direct laryngoscopy and *** sensitivity and specificity were calculated and the frequencies of complications were monitored to determine the complication ***:During the course of study a total of 47 patients underwent TFL biopsy in office *** of these patients 16 patients were referred for direct laryngoscopy *** study population included 32 men and 15 women with ages ranging from 28 to 52 years and mean of (39 ± 6) *** 43 patients squamous cell carcinoma was the final diagnosis in 31 *** the rest of 12 patients' dysplasia and benign lesion was the diagnosis in 9 and 3 patients *** 12 patients underwent direct laryngoscopy biopsy and 10 of them diagnosed with invasive carcinoma rest had benign *** the specificity was 75.6% and sensitivity was 100%.None of the patients developed any serious ***:all patients with a suspicious lesion diagnosed by TFL biopsy as being benign or carcinoma in situ should have direct laryngoscopy for verification of the *** the results positive for carcinoma are *** addition,this is a safe procedure.

Evaluation of the Anti-inflammatory and Sedative Effects of Leaf Aqueous Extract of Withania somnifera （L.） Dunal （Solanaceae）in Rats and Mice

The use of medicinal plants in South Africa is cultural. Withania somnifera is one of the medicinal plants used to treat various ailments in the country. The plant species has been used by traditional medicine practitioners to treat inflammation and painful conditions like rheumatism. It is also known to be used as a sedative and hypnotic drug. Despite the claims, there is no information in literature to corroborate the therapeutic success of Withania somnifera in the treatment of inflammation and insomnia. The study, therefore, investigated the anti-inflammatory and central nervous system depressant activities of the leaf aqueous extract of the plant species in mice and rats. Fresh leaves of W. somnifera were collected from Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, South Africa, authenticated by a taxonomist and a voucher specimen （UWC 005） deposited in the University＇s Herbarium. Leaf aqueous extract was prepared using standard extraction methods. The carrageenan-induced rat paw oedema test was used to determine the anti-inflammatory effects while pentobarbitone-induced sleep and locomotor activity tests were used to evaluate the sedative effect of the plant species. Phytochemical qualitative analysis, acute toxicity and HPLC studies of the plant species were also carried out using standard methods. The phytochemical qualitative analysis carried out on the dried powdered leaves of W. somnifera showed the presence of saponins, tannins and triterpene steroids. Leaf aqueous extract of IV. somnifera （100-200 mg/kg IP） significantly prolonged pentobarbitone （40 mg/kg, i.p.）-induced sleep in mice in a dose dependant manner. Diazepam （0.5 mg/kg, i.p.） significantly prolonged pentobarbitone （40 mg/kg, i.p.）-induced sleep in mice. The doses of 100 and 200 mg/kg （i.p.） of the plant species and 0.5 mg/kg （i.p.） of diazepam significantly reduced the locomotor activity of mice. BACKGROUND Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is the fifth most common *** expression of microRNAs(miRNAs)-326,miRNA-424,and miRNA-511 has been associated with the diagnosis and prognosis of HCC in different ***,limited information is available regarding their expression in Egyptian HCC *** To assess the role of circulating miRNAs-326,miRNA-424,and miRNA-511 in Egyptian HCC *** This prospective observational study included 70 HCC patients and 25 healthy *** circulating levels of these three miRNAs were evaluated by real-time *** operating characteristic curve analysis was used to test the diagnostic accuracy of micro RNA expression *** all miRNAs were differentially expressed in HCC patients;miRNAs326 and miRNA-424 were upregulated,while miRNA-511 was *** miRNA-326 and miRNA-424 showed sensitivity and specificity of 97%,71.4%,and 52%,60%,respectively,to differentiate HCC from ***,miRNA-326 was associated with survival and could differentiate between Child grades(A vs B);miRNA-424 significantly differentiated early vs intermediate stages of HCC;while miRNA-511 was significantly correlated with response to modified Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors(m RECIST).CONCLUSION We conclude that miRNA-326,miRNA-424,and miRNA-511 have diagnostic and prognostic roles in Egyptian patients with hepatitis C virus-related HCC and should be considered for better disease management.

框架结构是由相互连接的构件组成的系统,广泛应用于工业和土木工程行业。框架结构与其他类型的结构一样,它们都可能会被破坏。而从框架结构中移除构件会导致整个建筑结构或其中部分结构倒塌,这就是连续倒塌。自1968年Ronan Point公寓楼倒塌以来,连续倒塌一直是建筑失败的一个重要原因。当框架柱因异常荷载或自然灾害而被破坏时,该柱所支撑的荷载将重新分配到相邻的结构构件上。如果这些构件无法承受额外的荷载,它们就会继续失效,从而导致建筑结构的连续倒塌。虽然建筑结构的连续倒塌经常发生,但它并没有受到太多的关注。以往的大多数研究都是通过使用二维框架模型来对抵抗机制进行量化。部分人研究了框架柱的拆除方案,将某一根柱子拆除,其承受的荷载则竖直施加结构上面,以评估框架在失效之前的性能。这种方案的缺点是他们忽略了柱失效的关键原因以及对其他杆件的影响。为了研究抗弯钢框架结构的连续倒塌,本文使用Abaqus有限元软件进行建模分析模拟,提出了一种三维钢框架结构在地震作用下框架柱突然拆除时避免连续倒塌的有效策略。通过有限元计算工具来分析失稳现象,并设计了多种移除框架柱的方案。此外,利用强大的信号处理技术研究框架柱失效前后模型的动态响应。本文研究主要包括了静力弹塑性分析以及分析模型参数变化的影响。另外基于模型中各点的结构动力响应,通过Abaqus进行非线性静力和动力分析。本文的主要创新之处是基于小波变换的信号处理来分析结构响应,捕捉结构失稳现象,并研究模型中坍塌分布趋势以及拆除框架柱后能量的再分配。本文主要是对建筑物突然拆除框架柱情况下连续倒塌现象的深入研究,将提出的方法分别应用于两层和四层钢框架,并对各种拆除框架柱方案进行了研究。分析结果显示,对于具有很高的连续倒塌可能性的框架结构,提出的策略是有效的。

Survival and Prognostic Factors in Patients with Carcinoma of Cervical Stump

Purpose: To evaluate patients with carcinoma of cervical stump (CCS) and analyse different clinico-pathologic factors affect prognosis. Patients and Methods: This study was carried out through review of clinical records of patients. Recorded data included information on age, tumor stage, presenting symptoms, size of tumor, histopathology, grade, type, cause of subtotal hysterectomy (STH), treatment and follow-up results. Staging according to International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) staging system was done through: PHYSICal examination, pelvic examination under anaesthesia, chest X-ray, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the abdomen and pelvis, cystoscopy, rectosigmoidoscopy and intravenous pyelography. Prognostic factors as age, size of tumor, stage, lymph node (LN) involvement, pathological type, grade and type of CCS either true or coincidental were analysed through multivariate analysis. Results: 62% of patients are above 50 years with stage II in 48.7%. Squamous cell carcinoma was more common but 54% are of GIII. 89% were true CCS. Positive lymph nodes were reported in 27%. The predominant reason for STH was abnormal bleeding (73%). In about 95% of cases, women seeked medical attention because of symptoms and the most common presenting symptom was bleeding (54%). According to the stage and performance status of patients, treatment consisted of radiotherapy either external or interstitial, chemotherapy and chemoradiotherapy. Through multivariate analysis, the following was found to have adverse impact on survival: Coincidental type (P = 0.04), high grade (P = 0.03), advanced stage (P = 0.01), larger tumor size (P = 0.02), lymph node involvement (P = 0.029) and older age (P = 0.035). While pathological type was not (P = 0.52). After median follow-up of 52 months;5-year overall survival was 65%. Conclusion: CCS has a low morbidity.
