Si-based materials h.ve sh.wn great potential as lith.um-ion batteries(LIBs)anodes due to th.ir natural reserves and h.gh.th.oretical ***,th. large volume ch.nges during cycles and poor conductivity of Si lead to rapid capacity decay and poor cycling stability,ultimately limiting th.ir commercial ***,we h.ve skillfully utilized th. microporous MCM-22 zeolite as th. unique silicon source to produce porous Si(pSi)sh.ets by a simple magnesioth.rmic reduction,followed by a carbon coating and furth.r Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)MXene assembly,obtaining th. ternary pSi@NC@TNSs *** th. design,porous Si sh.ets provide more active sites and sh.rten Li-ion transport path. for electroch.mical *** N-doped carbon(NC)layer serves as a bonding layer to couple pSi and Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x).Th. conductive network formed by 2D Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)and medium NC layer effectively enh.nces th. overall ch.rge transport of th. electrode material,and h.lps to stabilize th. electrode ***,th. as-made pSi@NC@TNSs anode delivers an improved lith.um storage performance,exh.biting a h.gh.reversible capacity of 925 mAh.g at 0.5 A/g after 100 *** present strategy provides an effective way towards h.gh.performance Si-based anodes for LIBs.

Guaico Culex virus(GCXV)is a newly identified segmented Jingmenvirus from Culex *** in Central and South.*** genome of GCXV is composed of four or five single-stranded positive Rna ***,th. infection kinetics and transmission capability of GCXV in mosquitoes remain *** th.s study,we used reverse genetics to rescue two GCXVs(4S and 5S)th.t contained four and five Rna segments,respectively,in C6/36 *** in vitro ch.racterization revealed th.t th. two GCXVs exh.bited comparable replication kinetics,protein expression and viral ***,GCXV Rnas were detected in th. bodies,salivary glands,midguts and ovaries of Culex quinquefasciatus at 4–10 days after oral *** addition,two GCXVs can colonize *** eggs,resulting in positive rates of 15%–35%for th. second gonotroph.c *** conclusion,our results demonstrated th.t GCXVs with.four or five Rna segments can be detected in *** eggs during th. first and second gonotroph.c cycles after oral infection.

As a natural organic polymer,xanth.n gum(XG)can alleviate th. plastic deformation of gel ink under strong stress and realize th. reasonable regulation of th. rh.ological properties of gel ***,as th. double-h.lix structure connected by h.drogen bonds cannot resist th. mech.nical environment of strong stress,XG sh.ws poor sh.ar *** th.s study,a polymer gel with.interpenetrating polymer network structure was prepared by esterifying XG,taking polystyrene maleic anh.dride(SMA)as th. *** addition to retaining th. excellent rh.ological properties of XG,th. generated polymer gel also exh.bited h.gh.sh.ar *** optimal addition amount of th. esterification reaction modifier was determined as mXG:mSMA=5:3 according to th. gel ink *** th.s amount,th. viscosity of th. modified xanth.n gum(SXG)gel increased to 1578.8 mPa·s and 100.7 mPa·s at sh.ar rates of 4 s1 and 383 s1,respectively,and th. sh.ar resistance increased more th.n 2 times compared to th. unmodified *** is because of th. ester bond formed by esterification th.t th. reaction strength.ns th. interaction between molecular segments,enabling th. new gel to resist to strong mech.nical *** new polymer gel studied in th.s paper and th. proposed mech.nism of action provide new insigh.s for th. development of h.gh.end gel ink and also provide th.oretical support for th. study of rh.ological properties of non-Newtonian fluids.

Th. Effect of Water and salt Stress on Paspalum dilatatum, a Constituent of Pampas natural Grasslands

Th. effects of th. salt stress on plant growth.are usually increased by th. water stress. We studied th. impact of both.stresses in simultaneous pulses of drough. and salinity on Paspalum dilatatum. Th.s forage species is native to South.America, spread in grasslands in many tropical, subtropical, and temperate areas of th. world, and very common in grasslands of th. Flooding Pampas of Argentina. Mimicking wh.t h.ppens in nature. We compared a pot experiment, a non-stressed control against water stress for a month.(midpoint between field capacity and wilting point), and two saline stresses (moderate, 6 dSm-1 and strong, 12 dSm-1), also for a month. Aerial biomass (green leaf; non-leaf green material, and dry material) and roots were h.rvested, weigh.d, and analyzed for nitrogen, ph.sph.rus, and cations. Th. biomass of all components significantly decreased wh.n both.stresses were applied. Water plus strong saline stress reduced by h.lf th. total biomasses, compared to th. control. Th. proportion of aerial biomass/root biomass ratio as well as aerial green component/dry materials ratio tend to decrease wh.n subjected to both.stresses. Nitrogen concentration in plants was not significantly affected, but ph.sph.rus concentration increased in aerial biomass components, from 0.10 to 0.18 mgkg-1 between th. extreme treatments, but did not ch.nge in roots. Sodium concentration in plants increased (i.e., in green leave sodium (na) increased from 0.27 to 2.01 mgkg-1 between th. extreme treatments), wh.reas oth.r cations eith.r did not ch.nge or decreased, affecting th. ratios between th.m. Sodium performance allows us to infer th.t th. na accumulation of P. dilatatum beh.ves in an intermediate range, compared to very tolerant to salts or non-salt tolerant species of th. Paspalum genus. In agreement, wh.n salts were applied in th. form of a pulse, P. dilatatum tolerated h.gh.r salinity th.n th.t found by oth.r auth.rs for th. sa

Based on th. in-situ self-reduction and ch.mical stability,graph.iyne(GDY)and graph.iyne oxide(GDYO)are used as trapping agents to investigate th. ability for recovering Au^(3+),Ag^+,and Pd^(2+)under different ph.values and interfering *** strong acidity at ph.1,th.se two agents demonstrate h.gh.select recovery towards th. th.ee precious metal ions,wh.ch.could be insitu reduced to nanoparticles(NPs).In addition,superparamagnetic Fe_(3)O_(4)NPs are deposited on th. surfaces of GDY and *** magnetic responses enable GDYFe_(3)O_(4)to recover precious metals conveniently and efficiently by th. aid of an external magnetic *** study also confirms th. antibacterial activity of th. as-recovered NPs deposited on GDY and GDYO against Esch.rich.a coli and Staph.lococcus aureus(1×10^(5)colony-forming unit(CFU)·mL^(-1)),and th. antibacterial rates are 100%.Th.s strategy of recovering precious metals and subsequently reusing to combat path.gens will be of great significance for environmental remediation and biomedical applications.

Dear Editor,W e write to present a case report of transepith.lial ph.torefractive keratectomy(TPRK)with.ut mitomycin-C(MMC)for irregular astigmatism after femtosecond laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis(FS-LASIK)flap *** informed consent was obtained from th. patient to allow th. publication of th.s case and associated accompanying *** study was conducted in accordance with.th. h.lsinki *** is a surgical procedure wh.ch.uses an excimer laser to ablation of both.th. corneal epith.lium and stroma,wh.ch.is widely used in clinic[1-2].Th. procedure may be conducted in cases wh.re th.re is notable topograph.c irregularity or scarring following complications with.th. LASIK *** h.ze is a potential complication following TPRK,and th. use of MMC as a proph.lactic agent against postoperative corneal h.ze h.s been demonstrated to significantly reduce its formation after TPRK/ph.torefractive keratectomy(PRK).
