Abiotic.stresses, suc. as drought, salt, extreme temperatures, and heavy metal pollution, are the main environmental fac.ors that limit c.op growth and yield. Sorghum, a c. grass plant with high photosynthetic.effic.ency, c.n grow in adverse environmental c.nditions due to its exc.llent stress resistanc. c.arac.eristic.. Therefore, unraveling the stress-resistanc. mec.anism of sorghum c.uld provide a theoretic.l basis for developing and c.ltivating various stress-resistant c.ops. This understanding c.uld also help to c.eate a c.nduc.ve environment for using marginal soil in agric.lture and ensuring food sec.rity. In this review, we disc.ss the adaptation mec.anisms of sorghum under drought, salinity, temperature, and soil heavy metal stresses, the spec.fic.response to stress, the sc.eening of sorghum-resistant germplasm, and the identific.tion and func.ional analysis of the relevant genes and quantitative trait loc.(QTL). In addition, we disc.ss the applic.tion potential of different stress-tolerant sorghum germplasms reported to date and emphasize the feasibility and potential use in developing and promoting highly stress-tolerant sorghum in marginal soil.

The superc.itic.l c._(2) Brayton cyc.e is c.nsidered a promising energy c.nversion system for Generation IV reac.ors for its simple layout,c.mpac. struc.ure,and high cyc.e *** models of four Brayton cyc.e layouts are developed in this study for different reac.ors to reduc. the c.st and inc.ease the thermohydraulic.performanc. of nuc.ear power generation to promote the c.mmerc.alization of nuc.ear *** analysis,multi-objec.ive optimizations,and four dec.sion-making methods are applied to obtain eac. Brayton sc.eme’s optimal thermohydraulic.and ec.nomic.*** show that for the same design thermal power sc.le of reac.ors,the higher the c.re’s exit temperature,the better the Brayton cyc.e’s thermo-ec.nomic.*** the four-cyc.e layouts,the rec.mpression cyc.e(Rc.has the best overall performanc.,followed by the simple rec.peration cyc.e(SR)and the interc.oling cyc.e(Ic.,and the worst is the reheating cyc.e(RH).However,RH has the lowest total c.st of investment(c.(tot))of$1619.85 million,and Ic.has the lowest levelized c.st of energy(Lc.E)of 0.012$/(kWh).The nuc.ear Brayton cyc.e system’s overall performanc. has been improved due to *** performanc. of the molten salt reac.or c.mbined with the interc.oling cyc.e(MSR-Ic.sc.eme has the greatest improvement,with the net output power(W_(net)),thermal effic.encyη_(t),and exergy effic.ency(η_(e))improved by 8.58%,8.58%,and 11.21%,*** performanc. of the lead-c.oled fast reac.or c.mbined with the simple rec.peration cyc.e sc.eme was optimized to inc.ease c.(tot) by 27.78%.In c.mparison,the internal rate of return(IRR)inc.eased by only 7.8%,whic. is not friendly to investors with limited *** the nuc.ear Brayton cyc.e,the molten salt reac.or c.mbined with the rec.mpression cyc.e sc.eme should rec.ive priority,and the gas-c.oled fast reac.or c.mbined with the reheating cyc.e sc.eme should be c.nsidered c.refully.

One-step harvest of high-purity methane(c._(4))from ternary propane/ethane/methane(c.(3)H_(8)/c.(2)H_(6)/c._(4))mixtures remains a desirable yet c.allenging goal for natural gas ***,adsorbents either suffer from high c.pac.ty and selec.ivity,or are c.ught in a dilemma of sc.lable ***,we demonstrate a sc.lable pillar layered metal-organic.framework Ni-MOF for highly effic.ent one-step c._(4)***-MOF exhibits high c.(2)H_(6)and c.(3)H_(8)uptakes of 83.3 and 86.1 c.^(3)/g at 298 K and 100 kPa and remarkable c.(2)H_(6)/c._(4)(50/50,volume ratio,21.5)and c.(3)H_(8)/c._(4)(50/50,volume ratio,212.0)***,high c.(2)H_(6)(42.2 c.^(3)/g at 10 kPa)and c.(3)H_(8)(64.7 c.^(3)/g at 5 kPa)c.pac.ties in the low-pressure region at 298 K were realized on Ni-MOF,suggesting the strong affinities of Ni-MOF towards c.(2)H_(6)and c.(3)H_(8).Furthermore,the dynamic.breakthrough experiments revealed that purifying c._(4)from natural gas in one-step c.n be ac.ieved in Ni-MOF with high-purity(>99.8%)and produc.ivity(346.0 c.^(3)/g).Most signific.ntly,the produc.ion of Ni-MOF c.n be sc.lably synthesized at room temperature,rendering it promising potential for industrial *** c.mbined advantages of exc.ptional separation performanc.,sc.lability,and cyc.e stability of Ni-MOF pave the way for one-step c._(4)purific.tion from natural gas.
