The fairness concern behavior is particularly common among members in supply chain *** downstream retailers often compare their profits with those of the other members in the supply chain,especially that of the supplier,and do not like the unfavorable distribution of the total *** work considers a supply chain consisting of a supplier and two competing retailers with fairness *** supplier offers a wholesale contract with quantity discount,and the two competing retailers have the options of individual purchasing and group *** a Stackelberg game model,the optimal decisions for the players are obtained for the group buying and the individual purchasing *** results indicate that the supplier benefits more than the retailers from the group buying *** particular,the group buying strategy gives the supplier a higher profit if the operational cost of group buying is below a ***,the fairness concern behavior of the retailers does not always hurt the profit of the ***,the supplier will benefit from the fairness concern behavior of the retailers in individual purchasing when the retailers operates in a relatively poor ***,market competition between the two fairness concerned retailers does not always benefit the *** competition between the fairness concerned retailers reduces the supplier's profit if the group buying strategy is used when the retailers operates in a relatively poor environment.

The combination of leachate recirculation and aeration to landfill may be an efficient way for in-situ nitrogen ***,nitrogenous substances contained in the landfill layer are concomitantly transformed into N2O and NH3,leading to increased emissions into the *** the present study,the emissions of N2O and NH3 were measured under conditions of fresh or partially stabilized refuse with or without leachate recirculation or intermittent *** results showed that the largest N2O emission（12.4 mg-N/L of the column） was observed in the aerated column loaded with partially stabilized refuse and recycled with the leachate of low C/N ratio;while less than 0.33 mg-N/L of the column was produced in the other columns.N2O production was positively correlated with the prolonged aerobic time and negatively related with the C/N ratio in the recycled ***3 volatilization increased with enhanced gas flow and concentration of free ammonia in the leachate,and the highest cumulative volatilization quantity was 1.7 mg-N/L of the column.

Objective： The aim of this study was to test the protective effect of mesenchymal stem cells （MSCs） on cardiomyocytes in vitro and to investigate the anti-apoptotic signaling pathway. Methods： MSCs from Sprague-Dawley （SD） rats were separated and cultured. MSC medium was collected from MSCs （DMEM） under hypoxia. Cultured cardiomyocytes from neonatal cultured in serum-free Dulbecco＇s modified eagle medium SD rats were exposed to hypoxia/reoxygenation （H/R） and treated with MSC medium. The apoptotic cardiomyocytes were stained with Annexin-V-fluorescein isothiocyanate （FITC）, Hoechst 33342 and terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP nick-end labeling （TUNEL）. The mitochondrial transmembrane potential of cardiomyocytes was assessed using a fluorescence microscope. The expression of Bcl-2, Bax, cyto- chrome C, apoptosis-induced factor （AIF）, and caspase-3 was tested by Western blot analysis. Results： Our data demonstrated that MSC medium reduced H/R-induced cardiomyocyte apoptosis, increased the Bcl-2/Bax ratio, and reduced the release of cyto- chrome C and AIF from mitochondria into the cytosol. Conclusion： MSCs protected the cardiomyocytes from H/R-induced apoptosis through a mitochondrial pathway in a paracrine manner.

AIM： To examine the expressions of N-cadherin and E-cadherin in specimens of 62 normal esophageal epithela, 31 adjacent atypical hyperplastic epithelia and 62 esophageal squamous cell carcinomas （ESCCs）, and to investigate the roles of N-cadherin in the invasiveness of ESCC cell line EC9706 transfected by N-cadherin shRna.METHODS： PV immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression pattern of N-cadherin and E-cadherin in specimens of 62 normal esophageal epithelia, 31 adjacent atypical hyperplastic epithelia and 62 ESCCs. The invasiveness of ESCC line EC9706 was determined by transwell assay after EC9706 was transfected by N-cadherin shRna.RESULTS： The positive rotes of N-cadherin decreased in the carcinoma, adjacent atypical hyperplastic and normal esophageal tissues （75.8%, 61.3% and 29.0%, P 〈 0.05）, respectively, while those of E-cadherin increased （40.3%, 71.0% and 95.2%, P 〈 0.05）. The increased expression of N-cadherin and decreased expression of E-cadherin were related to invasion, differentiation, and lymph node metastasis （P 〈 0.05）. The expression level of N-cadherin decreased in the N-cadherin knocked down cells, and the invasiveness of those cells decreased significantly as well. The number of cells which crossed the basement membrane filter decreased from 123.40 ± 8.23 to 49.60 ±6.80 （P 〈 0.05）.CONCLUSION： E-cadherin and N-cadherin expression is correlated with the invasion and aggravation of ESCC. The down-regulation of N-cadherin lowers the invasiveness of EC9706 cell line.

A self-assembly/precipitate conversion/decomposition process was developed for the controllable synthesis of Fe3O4/Bi24Fe2O39/Bi hollow porous microrods（HPMRs）.The results demonstrated that the crystal size,component,and performances of HPMRs could be effectively modulated via changing Fe2+/Bi3+molar ratio（γ）.Fe3O4/Bi24Fe2O39/Bi HPMRs exhibited ferromagnetic behavior at room *** Bi and Bi24Fe2O39contents increased withγ,the saturation magnetization Msand attenuation constantly decreased,whereas coercivity Hcand impedance matching ratio *** Fe3O4with small quantities of Bi and Bi24Fe2O39into HPMRs can significantly enhance microwave ***3O4/Bi24Fe2O39/Bi HPMRs formed atγ=1:0.25 exhibited the optimum microwave absorption *** minimum RLwas-47.3 dB at8.72 GHz,corresponding to 2.4 mm sample *** absorption band with the reflection loss below-20 dB was up to 14.0 GHz for the absorber with a thickness of 1.4-8.0 *** results demonstrate that the introduction of electromagnetic transparent materials(Bi24Fe2O39or Bi)can improve the microwave absorption performances of Fe3O4composites owing to enhanced impedance matching rather than attenuation constant.

AIM To explore the ability of superb microvascular imaging(SMI) in differential diagnosis of focal liver lesions(FLLs) and to compare SMI morphology findings to those of color Doppler ultrasound and enhanced *** Twenty-four patients with 31 FLLs were included in our study,with diagnoses of hemangioma(he)(n = 17),hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)(n = 5),metastatic lesions(n = 5),primary hepatic lymphoma(n = 1),focal nodular hyperplasia(FNH)(n = 2),and adenoma(n = 1). Nine lesions were pathologically diagnosed,and 22 lesions were radiologically confirmed,all of which were evaluated by at least two types of enhanced imaging techniques. All patients had undergone SMI. Patients were divided into subgroups based on pathological and radiological diagnoses to analyze SMI manifestations. We also compared the SMI manifestations of the most common malignant FLLs(HCCs and metastatic lesions) with those of the most common benign FLLs(hes).RESULTS hes were classified into three SMI subgroups: diffuse dot-like type(n = 6),strip rim type(n = 8),and nodular rim type(n = 3). The sizes of the three types of hes were significantly different(P = 0.00,he metastatic lesions were the strip rim type,and the other metastatic lesion was the thick rim type,which is the same as that of lymphoma. FNH was described as a spoke-wheel type,and adenoma as a diffuse honeycomb type. The SMI types of HCCs and metastatic lesions were significantly different from those of hes(P = 0.048,nables microvascular evaluation of FLLs without using any contrast agent. For hes,lesion size may affect SMI performance. SMI is able to provide useful information for differential diagnosis of HCCs and metastatic lesions from hes.

Influence of Different Inorganic Salts on Crystallization-driven Morphological Transformation of PCL-b-PEO Micelles in Aqueous Solutions

Different inorganic salts, including naSCN, naCl, MgCl2 and na2SO4, were added into the aqueous solution containing poly（ε-caprolactone）-b-poly（ethylene oxide）（PCL-b-PEO） semicrystalline mieelles. The effects of inorganic salt on the micellar size and morphology were investigated with TEM and DLS. It is found that addition of naSCN leads to increase of the micellar size, but the micelles remain to be spherical. By contrast, the other three inorganic salts can induce sphere-to-cylinder or sphere-to-lamella transformations of the PCL-b-PEO semicrystalline mieelles. The alteration rate of the micellar size with the time after addition of the inorganic salts decreases in the following order： nazSO4 〉 naCl ≈ MgCl2〉 naSCN. These results were interpreted in terms of the ＂salting-out＂ ability of the cations and anions. The anions SO42- and Cl- have a stronger ＂salting-out＂ ability, driving the morphological transformations of the micelles and leading to a rapid change in micellar size. By contrast, SCN- has a weaker salting-out＂ ability. The cations na＋ and Mg2＋ may associate with the PEO blocks, leading to a ＂salting-out＂ effect as well. However, the ＂salting-out＂ ability of cations is weaker than that of SO42- and Cl- anions, and the ＂salting-out＂ abilities ofna＋ and Mg2＋ are similar.

Impacts of a wind stress and a buoyancy flux on the seasonal variation of mixing layer depth in the South China Sea

The seasonal variation of mixing layer depth （MLD） in the ocean is determined by a wind stress and a buoy- ance flux. A South China Sea （SCS） ocean data assimilation system is used to analyze the seasonal cycle of its MLD. It is found that the variability of MLD in the SCS is shallow in summer and deep in winter, as is the case in general. Owing to local atmosphere forcing and ocean dynamics, the seasonal variability shows a regional characteristic in the SCS. In the northern SCS, the MLD is shallow in summer and deep in winter, affected coherently by the wind stress and the buoyance flux. The variation of MLD in the west is close to that in the central SCS, influenced by the advection of strong western boundary currents. The eastern SCS presents an annual cycle, which is deep in summer and shallow in winter, primarily impacted by a heat flux on the air-sea interface. So regional characteristic needs to be cared in the analysis about the MLD of SCS.
