The recently developed technologies that allow the analysis of each single omics have provided an unbiased insight into ongoing disease ***,it remains challenging to specify the study design for the subsequent integration strategies that can associate sepsis pathophysiology and clinical ***,we conducted a time-dependent multi-omics integration(TDMI)in a sepsis-associated liver dysfunction(SALD)*** successfully deduced the relation of the Toll-like receptor 4(TLR4)pathway with *** TLR4 is a critical factor in sepsis progression,it is not specified in single-omics analyses but only in the TDMI *** finding indicates that the TDMI-based approach is more advantageous than single-omics analyses in terms of exploring the underlying pathophysiological mechanism of ***,TDMI-based approach can be an ideal paradigm for insightful biological interpretations of multi-omics datasets that will potentially reveal novel insights into basic biology,health,and diseases,thus allowing the identification of promising candidates for therapeutic strategies.

Herein,a facile synthetic strategy is proposed to fabricate high-performance electrocatalysts for rechargeable Zn-air batteries(ZABs).Heterostructured NiCo/NiCo_(2)S_(4) nanoparticles encapsulated in N-,S-co-doped CNT(NiCo/NiCo_(2)S_(4)@NSCNT) are synthesized via co-precipitation,thermal carbonization,and partial sulfidation *** strongly coupled NiCo/NiCo_(2)S_(4) heterostructure can improve the redox property and charge transfer ***,the CNTs with abundant foreign dopants provide high electrical conductivity and abundant defect sites for both the oxygen evolution reaction(OER) and oxygen reduction reaction(ORR).The prepared NiCo/NiCo_(2)S_(4)@NSCNT electrocatalyst exhibits a low overpotential of 349 mV at a current density of 10 mA cm-2 and a half-wave potential of 0.865 V for the OER and ORR,***,the ZAB assembled using as-prepared NiCo/NiCo_(2)S_(4)@NSCNT can provide superior specific capacity(756.16 mA h g_(Zn)^(-1)],peak power density(155.82 mW cm^(-2)),and long-term cyclability compared to those of the precious metal-based electrocatalyst(Pt/C+RuO_(2)).

BACKGROUND Bleeding is one of the major complications after endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD)in early gastric cancer(EGC)*** are limited studies on estimating the bleeding risk after ESD using an artificial intelligence *** To derivate and verify the performance of the deep learning model and the clinical model for predicting bleeding risk after ESD in EGC *** Patients with EGC who underwent ESD between January 2010 and June 2020 at the Samsung Medical Center were enrolled,and post-ESD bleeding(PEB)was investigated *** split the entire cohort into a development set(80%)and a validation set(20%).The deep learning and clinical model were built on the development set and tested in the validation *** performance of the deep learning model and the clinical model were compared using the area under the curve and the stratification of bleeding risk after *** A total of 5629 patients were included,and PEB occurred in 325 *** area under the curve for predicting PEB was 0.71(95%confidence interval:0.63-0.78)in the deep learning model and 0.70(95%confidence interval:0.62-0.77)in the clinical model,without significant difference(P=0.730).The patients expected to the low-(leeding rate of 2.2%,3.9%,and 11.6%,respectively,in the deep learning model;4.0%,8.8%,and 18.2%,respectively,in the clinical *** A deep learning model can predict and stratify the bleeding risk after ESD in patients with EGC.

AIM To analyze cytokine levels and to identify their association with outcome in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) treated with radiotherapy(RT). METHODS Patients with HCC who were treated with RT were eligible for this prospective study. Blood samples were collected before and after RT, and serum cytokine levels including interleukin(IL)-1, IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, IL-12, and tumor necrosis factor-α were analyzed. RESULTS Between 2008 and 2009, 51 patients were enrolled in this study. Baseline IL-6 level was high in patients with a history of pre-RT treatment. Median survival was 13.9 mo with alpha-fetoprotein(AFP) as a significant factor(P = 0.020). Median failure-free survival(FFS) for infield, outfield-intrahepatic and extrahepatic failures were 23.3, 11.5 and 12.0 mo, respectively. Sex and baseline IL-6 level were associated with infield FFS, and baseline IL-10 level was correlated with outfield-intrahepatic FFS. For extrahepatic FFS, AFP was significant(P =0.034). Patients with a baseline IL-6 level of ≥ 9.7 pg/m L showed worse infield FFS(P = 0.005), and this significance was observed only in treatment-non-na?ve patients(P = 0.022). CONCLUSION In addition to AFP, cytokines seem useful in predicting infield and outfield-intrahepatic failure. Serum cytokines could be useful biomarkers for predicting RT outcome in HCC.

Yellowhorn （Xanthoceras sorbifolium Bunge） is a drought-tolerant tree in the family Sapindaceae that is native to northeastern China. Its remarkably oil-rich seeds are a reliable biodiesel source. An inter simple sequence repeat （ISSR） analysis showed genetic variation among four artificial populations in China： two in Inner Mongolia （IM）, one in Liaoning （LN）, and one in Shandong （SD）. The average percentage of polymorphic loci was 81.25 % for these four populations. The Forest Farm in SD showed the highest number of effective alleles （Ne）, Shannon index （I）, and expected heterozygosity （He）, i.e., 1.598, 0.470, and 0.325, respectively, but the lowest number of alleles （na） as 1.600. Based on an analysis of molecular variance, 23 % of the total genetic variation was found among populations, and 77 % within populations. A principal coordinate analysis revealed two groups （Group 1： Lindonglinchang, Jianping Agriculture Research Station and Forest Farm; Group 2： Jinjilinchang）. Understanding the genetic diversity among artificial yellowhorn populations in China, detected using ISSRs, will be useful for yellowhorn conservation and improvement. Additional arti-ficial and natural populations need to be included in the future for a country-wide perspective.

BACKGROUND While primary intestinal lymphangiectasia(PIL)is considered a rare condition,there have been several reported cases in ***,the absence of clear guidance from diagnosis to treatment and prognosis poses challenges for both physicians and *** To enhance understanding by investigating clinical presentation,diagnosis,treatment,complications,and prognoses in adult PIL *** We enrolled adult patients diagnosed with PIL between March 2016 and September *** primary outcome involved examining the diagnosis and treatment process of these *** secondary outcomes included identifying complications(infections,thromboembolism)and assessing prognoses(frequency of hospitalization and mortality)during the follow-up *** Among the 12 included patients,peripheral edema(100%)and diarrhea(75%)were the main presenting *** tests showed that all the pati-ents exhibited symptoms of hypoalbuminemia and ***,the predominant findings were edema of the small intestine(67%)and ascites(58%).The typical endoscopic finding with a snowflake appearance was observed in 75%of *** the 12 patients,two responded positive-ly to octreotide and sirolimus,and eight who could undergo maintenance therapy discontinued *** due to PIL led to infection in half of the patients,thromboembolism in three patients,and one *** PIL can be diagnosed in adults across various age groups,with different severity and treatment responses among patients,leading to diverse complications and ***,tailored treatments will be *** anticipate that our findings will contribute to the management of PIL,an etiology of protein-losing enteropathy.
