Lipid droplets(LDs)participate in many physiological processes,the abnormality of which will cause chronic diseases and pathologies such as diabetes and *** is crucial to monitor the distribution of LDs at high spatial resolution and large ***,we carried three-photon imaging of LDs in fat *** to the large three-photon absorption cross-section of the luminogen named NAP-CF_(3)(1:67×10^(-79) cm^(6) s^(2)),three-photon fluorescence fat liver imaging reached the largest depth of 80μ*** liver diagnosis was successfully carried out with excellent performance,providing great potential for LDs-associated pathologies research.

Silicon and glass are two of the most ideal materials for micro/nanofluidic devices,which have been widely used for research in multidisciplinary ***,many micro/nanofluidic devices enable only single use due to the irreversible bonding between Si/glass or glass/glass *** the silicon-and glass-based devices are fabricated to be detachable,the substrates can be reused and bonded again without repeating expensive micro/nanofabrication ***,we present a recycled direct bonding method for Si/glass and glass/glass chips based on oxygen plasma activation and low-temperature annealing *** bonding strength and void-free bonding interface are obtained after annealing at 150℃.The surfaces and the bonding interfaces are characterized to elucidate the bonding ***,immersion tests are carried out to investigate the interfacial corrosion resistance in various chemical and biological solutions as well as explore a detachable *** bonding strengths are controlled to meet the demand for micro/nanofluidic devices and the bonding interfaces can be separated in *** a result,we succeed in the experiment of bonding and detaching of glass substrates without fracturing,which is repeated for three times.

A novel magnetic nanoparticles-based dithiocarbamate absorbent（Fe3O4@SiO2-DTC） with core-shell structure was synthesized under mild conditions and used in aqueous solution Ni2＋ and Cu2＋ ions treatment. The structure, morphology and magnetic properties of the adsorbent were characterized by Xray diffraction（XRD）, fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy（FTIR）, scanning electron microscopy（SEM）, transmission electron microscopy（TEM）, and vibrating sample magnetometer（VSM）.Fe3O4@SiO2-DTC exhibited a typical superparamagnetic with a saturation magnetization value of52.7 emu/g, which could be rapidly separated from aqueous solution under external magnetic field. We investigated the effects of solution p H, adsorption time, and the initial concentration of heavy metal ions on the adsorption of Ni2＋ and Cu2＋. The adsorption equilibrium times of Ni2＋and Cu2＋ on Fe3 O4@SiO2-DTC were reached at 15 min and 90 min, respectively. The adsorption kinetic data were fitted to the pseudosecond-order model, and the adsorption data were consistent with the Frenudlich isotherm model. When the initial concentration of heavy metal ions was 250 mg/L, the maximum adsorption capacity of Ni2＋ and Cu2＋ at room temperature was 235.23 mg/g and 230.49 mg/g, respectively. In addition, we discussed the plausible adsorption mechanism. The results indicated that the adsorption was mainly dominated by chelation.

Background Primary liver cancer （PLC） is a common malignant tumor. Over the past decade, although farnesyltransferase （FTase） has emerged as a significant target for anticancer therapies and has become a hotspot of cancer research, its exact mechanism of action remains unknown. The aim of this study was to investigate the expression of FTase in PLC and its role in the development of PLC. Methods Expression of FTase was detected by real-time fluorescent quantitative-polymerase chain reaction （FQ-PCR） in cancer and surrounding normal tissues from 32 patients with PLC. Results Expression of FTase mRNA in PLC was significantly higher than that in normal hepatic tissues （P 〈0.001）. Overexpression of FTase was as high as 87.5%. The positive rate for FTase mRNA in the high tendency to metastatic recurrence group was obviously higher than that in the low tendency to metastatic recurrence group （P=0.02）. The positive rate for FTase mRNA in patients with metastatic recurrence during postoperative follow-up was also significantly higher than that in those without metastatic recurrence （P=-0.01）. Conclusions The level of FTase mRNA expression in cancer tissues is much higher than in normal tissues. FTase may play an important role in the genesis and development of PLC and may be one of the reliable markers for the metastatic activity gained by liver tumor cells. FTase could be used clinically in predicting metastatic recurrence of PLC

Understanding carbon-supported Pt-catalyzed oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)from the perspective of the active sites is of fundamental and practical *** this study,three differently sized carbon nanotube-supported Pt nanoparticles(Pt/CNT)are prepared by both atomic layer deposition(ALD)and impregnation *** performances of the catalysts toward the ORR in acidic media are comparatively studied to probe the effects of the sizes of the Pt nanoparticles together with their distributions,electronic properties,and local *** ALD-Pt/CNT catalysts show much higher ORR activity and selectivity than the impregnation-Pt/CNT *** outstanding ORR performance is ascribed to the well-controlled Pt particle sizes and distributions,desirable Pt^04f binding energy,and the Cl-free Pt surfaces based on the electrocatalytic measurements,catalyst characterizations,and model *** insights reported here could guide the rational design and fine-tuning of carbon-supported Pt catalysts for the ORR.

Multi-layered functionally graded(FG)structure Ni-W/Er2O3 nanocomposite films were prepared by continuously changing the deposition parameters,in which the Er2O3 and W contents varied with *** microstructure and chemical composition of the electrodeposited Ni-W/Er2O3 films were determined by scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDS).The anti-corrosion and wear properties of the electrodeposition films were investigated by electrochemical measurement and ball-on-disk friction *** microhardness distribution of the cross section of nanocomposites was measured by *** results showed that with decreasing agitation rate or increasing average current density,the contents of Er2O3 nanoparticles and tungsten were distributed in a gradient along the thickness,and the contents on the surface were *** comparison,FG Ni-W/Er2O3 films had better anti-corrosion and wear properties than the uniform Ni-W/Er2O3 *** force microscopy(AFM)and profilometry measurements indicated that Er2O3 nanoparticles had an effect on the surface roughness.
