Dual modification of LiNi_(0.83)Co_(0.11)Mn_(0.06)O_(2) cathode materials by K^(+) doping and Li_(3)PO_(4) coating for lithium ions batteries

Li_(3)PO_(4)@Li_(0.99)K_(0.01)Ni_(0.83)Co_(0.11)Mn_(O.06)O_(2)(NCM-KP) cathode powders are synthesized via K^(+)doping in calcination processes and H_3PO_4 coating in sol-gel processes.K^(+) precisely enters into the lattice to widen the(003) plane to 0.4746 nm with a lower cationic disordered degree of 1.87%.Moreover,the surface residual lithium salts are treated by H_3PO_4 to generate a uniform Li_(3)PO_(4) coating layer of approximately 11.41 nm,which completely covers on the surface of secondary spherical particles to improve the interfacial *** 25℃,the NCM-KP electrode delivers a discharge specific capacity of 148.9 mAh·g^(-1) with a remarkable capacity retention ratio of 84.1% after 200 cycles at 1.0C and retains a high reversible specific capacity of 154.4 mAh·g^(-1) at *** at 1.0C and 60℃,it can maintain a reversible discharge specific capacity of 114.6 mAh·g^(-1) with 0.21% of capacity decay per cycle after 200 cycles,which is significantly lower than 0.40% for the pristine NCM ***,the charge transfer resistance of 238.89 Ω for the NCM-KP electrode is significantly lower than 947.41 Ω for the pristine NCM one by restricting the interfacial side ***,combining K+doping and Li_(3)PO_(4) coating is an effective strategy to enable the significant improvement of the electrochemical property of high-nickel cathode materials,which may be mainly attributed to the widened diffusion pathway and the formed Li_(3)PO_(4) protective layer,thus promoting Li~+diffusion rate and preventing the erosion of HF.

Benchmark experiment on slab^(238)U with D-T neutrons for validation of evaluated nuclear data

A benchmark experiment on^(238)U slab samples was conducted using a deuterium-tritium neutron source at the China Institute of Atomic *** leakage neutron spectra within energy levels of 0.8-16 MeV at 60°and 120°were measured using the time-of-flight *** samples were prepared as rectangular slabs with a 30 cm square base and thicknesses of 3,6,and 9 *** leakage neutron spectra were also calculated using the MCNP-4C program based on the latest evaluated files of^(238)U evaluated neutron data from CENDL-3.2,ENDF/B-Ⅷ.0,JENDL-5.0,and *** on the comparison,the deficiencies and improvements in^(238)U evaluated nuclear data were *** results showed the following.(1)The calculated results for CENDL-3.2 significantly overestimated the measurements in the energy interval of elastic scattering at 60°and 120°.(2)The calculated results of CENDL-3.2 overestimated the measurements in the energy interval of inelastic scattering at 120°.(3)The calculated results for CENDL-3.2 significantly overestimated the measurements in the 3-8.5 MeV energy interval at 60°and 120°.(4)The calculated results with JENDL-5.0 were generally consistent with the measurement results.

Screening for Parkinson syndrome in a Chinese rural population： re-examination of a historic questionnaire

Background Standardized screening tools for Parkinson syndrome have not been developed for non-westem populations. This study aimed to validate the Copiah County questionnaire （CCQ） as a screening instrument in a Chinese rural population. Methods All participants of a previously reported prevalent study were interviewed using CCQ. The participants who answered yes to at least one item on CCQ were defined as positive. The Parkinson＇s disease （PD） diagnosis was established using United Kingdom Parkinson＇s disease Brain Bank Clinical diagnosis criteria （UKPDBBC） and served as a gold standard to determine the sensitivity, specificity, and positive and negative predictive values （PPV, NPV） for the questionnaire. Results Among 16 130 participants, 2872 （17.8%） were screened positive for CCQ and 13 258 negative （82.2%）. Among the 697 participants diagnosed as having Parkinson syndrome, 605 were positive for CCQ, and 92 were negative, leading to a sensitivity of 86.8%. Out of the 15 433 non-Parkinson syndrome participants, 13 166 were negative to CCQ, giving a specificity of 85.3%. Among the 2872 participants screened positive, 605 were diagnosed with Parkinson syndrome, and their PPV was 21.1%. For the 13 258 participants screened negative on CCQ, 92 were diagnosed with Parkinson syndrome and 13 166 did not have Parkinson syndrome, leading to a NPV of 99.3%. Conclusions CCQ appeared to have satisfactory statistical parameters to serve as a screening instrument for Parkinson syndrome in this rural Chinese population. Further studies may prove the utility of this short questionnaire in Parkinson syndrome screening among Chinese populations including those residing in rural areas.

The industrial sector is the primary source of carbon emissions in *** pursuit of meeting its carbon reduction targets,China aims to promote resource consumption sustainability,reduce energy consumption,and achieve carbon neutrality within its processing *** effective strategy to promote energy savings and carbon reduction throughout the life cycle of materials is by applying life cycle engineering *** strategy aims to attain an optimal solution for material performance,resource consumption,and environmental *** this study,five types of technologies were considered:raw material replacement,process reengineering,fuel replacement,energy recycling and reutilization,and material recycling and *** meaning,methodology,and development status of life cycle engineering technology abroad and domestically are discussed in detail.A multidimensional analysis of ecological design was conducted from the perspectives of resource and energy consumption,carbon emissions,product performance,and recycling of secondary resources in a manufacturing *** coupled with an integrated method to analyze carbon emissions in the entire life cycle of a material process industry was applied to the nonferrous industry,as an *** results provide effective ideas and solutions for achieving low or zero carbon emission production in the Chinese industry as recycled aluminum and primary aluminum based on advanced technologies had reduced resource consumption and emissions as compared to primary aluminum production.

Gibberellic acid(GA3)is a vital plant growth hormone widely used in ***,GA3 production relies on liquid fermentation by the filamentous fungus Fusarium ***,the lack of an effective selection marker recycling system hampers the application of metabolic engineering technology in ***,as multiple-gene editing and positive-strain screening still rely on a limited number of *** this study,we developed a strategy using pyr4-blaster and CRISPR/Cas9 tools for recycling orotidine-5'-phosphate decarboxylase(Pyr4)selection *** demonstrated the effectiveness of this method for iterative gene integration and large gene-cluster *** also successfully improved GA3 titers by overexpressing geranylgeranyl pyrophosphate synthase and truncated 3-hydroxy-3-methyl glutaryl coenzyme A reductase,which rewired the GA3 biosynthesis *** results highlight the efficiency of our established system in recycling selection markers during iterative gene editing ***,the selection marker recycling system lays the foundation for further research on metabolic engineering for GA3 industrial production.

Thermochromic polymers with tunable thermochromism,high stretchability and mechanical strength are of interests for optical information storage and *** this work,we demonstrate a new design of thermo-fluorochromic carboxylated nitrile butadiene rubber(XNBR)elastomer cross-linked by Eu^(3+)-COOH dynamic coordination with deprotonated imidazole(DPIm)as the ancillary *** presence of DPIm not only improves the mechanical strength and stretchability,but also dramatically intensifies the fluorescence emission and lifetime of the Eu-containing *** elastomer behaves reversible thermo-fluorochromism with easily tunable transition temperature and emission intensity by the simple change of the deprotonation degree of *** facile tunable thermo-fluorochromism,exceptional mechanical strength,and high stretchability(up to about 5000%)enable the Eu-containing XNBR elastomer with potential applications in soft electronics where optical information storage and encryption are required.

Simulation and evaluation study of atmospheric aerosol nonsphericity as a function of particle size

Aerosol nonsphericity causes great uncertainty in radiative forcing assessments and climate *** considerable studies have attempted to quantify this uncertainty,the relationship between aerosol nonsphericity and particle size is usually not considered,thus reducing the accuracy of the *** this study,a coupled inversion algorithm combining an improved stochastic particle swarm optimization algorithm and angular light scattering is used for the nonparametric estimation of aerosol nonsphericity variation with particle size,and the optimal sample selection method is employed to screen the *** on the verification of inversion accuracy,the variation of aerosol aspect ratio with particle size based on the ellipsoidal model in global regions has been obtained from Aerosol Robotic Network(AERONET)data,and the effect of nonsphericity on radiative forcing and dry deposition has been *** results show that the aspect ratio increases with particle size in all regions,with the maximum ranging from 1.4 to 1.8 in the desert,reflecting the differences in aerosol composition at different particle *** radiation calculations,considering aerosol nonsphericity makes the aerosol cooling effect weaker and surface radiative fluxes increase,but hardly changes the aerosol absorption,with maximum differences of 9.22%and 22.12%at the bottom and top of the atmosphere,***,the differences in radiative forcing between aspect ratios as a function of particle size and not varying with particle size are not significant,averaging less than 2%.Besides,the aspect ratio not varying with particle size underestimates the deposition velocity of small particles and overestimates that of large particles compared to that as a function of particle size,with maximum differences of 7%and 4%,respectively.

Effect of Sc on Al_(3)Fe phase and mechanical properties of as-cast AA5052 aluminum alloy

The AA5052 aluminum alloy is widely used in automobile and aerospace manufacturing,and with the development of light-weight alloys,it is required that these materials exhibit better mechanical *** studies have demonstrated that the addition of Sc to aluminum alloys can improve both the microstructure and properties of the *** this study,the effect of Sc on the Fe-rich phase and properties of the AA5052 aluminum alloy was studied by adding 0%,0.05%,0.2%,and 0.3%*** results show that with the increase of Sc,the coarse needle-like Fe-rich phase gradually transforms into Chinese-script and then nearly spherical particles,reduce the size of Fe-rich phase,and refine the grain with increase of high angle grain boundaries(HAGBs).These microstructure changes enhance the strength of the AA5052 alloy through Sc *** ductility of the alloy is obviously improved because the addition of a lower amount of Sc changes the morphology of Fe-rich phase from needle-like into a Chinese-script,and it is subsequently reduced as a result of significant increase in HAGBs with increasing Sc content.

The bHLH transcription factor CsPIF4 positively regulates high temperature-induced hypocotyl elongation in cucumber

High temperature-induced hypocotyl elongation is a typical thermomorphogenesis trait that may significantly affect early seedling growth and subsequent crop *** ambient temperature and endogenous auxin are two critical factors that regulate hypocotyl ***,the mechanism of temperature and auxin integration in horticultural plants remains poorly *** this study,the roles of the basic helix-loop-helix transcription factor CsPIF4 in regulating auxin biosynthesis genes and the auxin content in the hypocotyl of cucumber(Cucumis sativus L.)seedlings under high temperature were ***-PCR and in situ hybridization analysis revealed that expression of CsPIF4 was enhanced in the epidermis and vascular bundles in the hypocotyl of cucumber seedlings in response to high ***-PCR and HPLC analysis showed that CsPIF4 positively regulated transcription of the auxin biosynthesis gene CsyuC8 and the auxin content in the hypocotyl under high temperature(35℃).The CRISPR/Cas9-mediated knockout of CsPIF4 resulted in a shorter hypocotyl compared with that of the wild type,together with decreased expression of CsyuC8 and lower auxin content in response to high ***,biochemical assays showed that CsPIF4 could bind directly to the G-box motif of the CsyuC8 promoter and thereby activate CsyuC8 *** findings provide insight into the molecular mechanism of high temperature-mediated hypocotyl elongation in cucumber.
