We present one-loop contributions for h→ℓℓγ with ℓ=νe,μ,τ,e,μ and e−e+→hγ in the U(1)_(B−L) extension of the standard model. In the phenomenological results, the signal strengths for h→ℓℓγ at the Large Hadron Collider and for e−e+→hγ at future lepton colliders are analyzed in the physical parameter space for both the vector and chiral B−L models. We found that the contributions from the neutral gauge boson Z′ to the signal strengths are rather small. Consequently, the effects will be difficult to probe at future colliders. However, the impacts of charged Higgs and CP-odd Higgs in the chiral B−L model on the signal strengths are significant and can be measured with the help of the initial polarization beams at future lepton colliders.

This paper develops a discrete-time sliding mode controller with a power rate exponential reaching law approach to enhance the performance of a pneumatic artificial muscle system in both reaching time and chattering reduction.The proposed method dynamically adapts to the variation of the switching function,which is based on an exponential term and a power rate term of the sliding surface.Thus,the controlled system can achieve high tracking performance while still obtain chattering-free control.Moreover,the effectiveness of the proposed method is validated through multiple experimental tests,focused on a dual pneumatic artificial muscle system.Finally,experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed approach in this paper.

NOx emissions cause many negative impacts on the living environment.The photocatalysis of semiconductors is superior for nitric oxide(NO)degradation due to their low redox potential.In this report,we combine SnO_(2-x)/g-C_(3)N_(4)heterojunction photocatalyst toward the high selectivity into green products under visible light illumination.Results show that SnO_(2-x)/g-C_(3)N_(4)heterojunction degraded 40.8%of NO,which is 1.6 times higher than that of g-C_(3)N_(4).In addition,the selectivity coefficient of SnO_(2-x)/g-C_(3)N_(4)is higher 3 times than both pure SnO_(2-x)and g-C_(3)N_(4).Furthermore,SnO_(2-x)/g-C_(3)N_(4)expresses a superior stability for NO photocatalytic-degradation after five cycles.The scavenger trapping test results,and electron spin resonance(ESR)analysis also provide more understanding of the charge transfer mechanism of materials.SnO_(2-x)/g-C_(3)N_(4)heterojunction shows a high removal efficiency of NO gas,making it an up-and-coming environmental treatment candidate.

We report on the synthesis of Sn-doped hematite nanoparticles(Sn-α-Fe_(2)O_(3) NPs)by the hydrothermal method.The prepared Sn-α-Fe_(2)O_(3) NPs had a highly pure and well crystalline rhombohedral phase with an average particle size of 41.4 nm.The optical properties of as-synthesizedα-Fe_(2)O_(3) NPs show a higher bandgap energy(2.40-2.57 eV)than that of pure bulkα-Fe_(2)O_(3)(2.1 eV).By doping Sn intoα-Fe_(2)O_(3) NPs,the Sn-doped hematite was observed a redshift toward a long wavelength with in-creasing Sn concentration from 0%to 4.0%.The photocatalytic activity of Sn-dopedα-Fe_(2)O_(3) NPs was evaluated by Congo red(CR)dye degradation.The degradation efficiency of CR dye using Sn-α-Fe_(2)O_(3) NPs catalyst is higher than that of pureα-Fe_(2)O_(3) NPs.The highest degradation efficiency of CR dye was 97.8%using 2.5%Sn-dopedα-Fe_(2)O_(3) NPs catalyst under visible-light irradi-ation.These results suggest that the synthesized Sn-dopedα-Fe_(2)O_(3) nanoparticles might be a suitable approach to develop a photocatalytic degradation of toxic inorganic dye in wastewater.

Purpose:The open-access(OA)publishing model can help improve researchers’outreach,thanks to its accessibility and visibility to the public.Therefore,the presentation of female researchers can benefit from the O A publishing model.Despite that,little is known about how gender affects OA practices.Thus,the current study explores the effects of female involvement and risk aversion on OA publishing patterns among Vietname se social sciences and humanities.Design/methodology/approach:The study employed Bayesian Mindsponge Framework(BMF)on a dataset of 3,122 Vietnamese social sciences and humanities(SS&H)publications during 2008-2019.The Mindsponge mechanism was specifically used to construct theoretical models,while Bayesian inference was utilized for fitting models.Findings:The result showed a positive association between female participation and OA publishing probability.However,the positive effect of female involvement on OA publishing probability was negated by the high ratio of female researchers in a publication.OA status was negatively associated with the JIF of the journal in which the publication was published,but the relationship was moderated by the involvement of a female researcher(s).The findings suggested that Vietnamese female researchers might be more likely to publish under the OA model in journals with high JIF for avoiding the risk of public criticism.Research limitations:The study could only provide evidence on the association between female involvement and OA publishing probability.However,whether to publish under OA terms is often determined by the first or corresponding authors,but not necessarily gender-based.Practical implications:Systematically coordinated actions are suggested to better support women and promote the OA movement in Vietnam.Originality/value:The findings show the OA publishing patterns of female researchers in Vietnamese SS&H.

The cardinal symptoms of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 infection as the pandemic began in 2020 were cough,fever,and dyspnea,thus characterizing the virus as a predominantly pulmonary disease.While it is apparent that many patients presenting acutely to the hospital with coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)infection have complaints of respiratory symptoms,other vital organs and systems are also being affected.In fact,almost half of COVID-19 hospitalized patients were found to have evidence of some degree of liver injury.Incidence and severity of liver injury in patients with underlying liver disease were even greater.According to the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention,from August 1,2020 to May 31,2022 there have been a total of 4745738 COVID-19 hospital admissions.Considering the gravity of the COVID-19 pandemic and the incidence of liver injury in COVID-19 patients,it is imperative that we as clinicians understand the effects of the virus on the liver and conversely,the effect of underlying hepatobiliary conditions on the severity of the viral course itself.In this article,we review the spectrum of novel studies regarding COVID-19 induced liver injury,compiling data on the effects of the virus in various age and high-risk groups,especially those with preexisting liver disease,in order to obtain a comprehensive understanding of this disease process.We also provide an update of the impact of the new Omicron variant and the changing nature of COVID-19 pathogenesis.

This paper proposes an enhancement of an automatic text recognition system for extracting information from the front side of the Vietnamese citizen identity(CID)card.First,we apply Mask-RCNN to segment and align the CID card from the background.Next,we present two approaches to detect the CID card’s text lines using traditional image processing techniques compared to the EAST detector.Finally,we introduce a new end-to-end Convolutional Recurrent Neural Network(CRNN)model based on a combination of Connectionist Temporal Classification(CTC)and attention mechanism for Vietnamese text recognition by jointly train the CTC and attention objective functions together.The length of the CTC’s output label sequence is applied to the attention-based decoder prediction to make the final label sequence.This process helps to decrease irregular alignments and speed up the label sequence estimation during training and inference,instead of only relying on a data-driven attention-based encoder-decoder to estimate the label sequence in long sentences.We may directly learn the proposed model from a sequence of words without detailed annotations.We evaluate the proposed system using a real collected Vietnamese CID card dataset and find that our method provides a 4.28%in WER and outperforms the common techniques.

Machine learning for integrating combustion chemistry in numerical simulations

A strategy based on machine learning is discussed to close the gap between the detailed description of combustion chemistry and the numerical simulation of combustion systems.Indeed,the partial differential equations describ-ing chemical kinetics are stiffand involve many degrees of freedom,making their solving in three-dimensional unsteady simulations very challenging.It is discussed in this work how a reduction of the computing cost by an order of magnitude can be achieved using a set of neural networks trained for solving chemistry.The ther-mochemical database used for training is composed of time evolutions of stochastic particles carrying chemical species mass fractions and temperature according to a turbulent micro-mixing problem coupled with complex chemistry.The novelty of the work lies in the decomposition of the thermochemical hyperspace into clusters to facilitate the training of neural networks.This decomposition is performed with the Kmeans algorithm,a local principal component analysis is then applied to every cluster.This new methodology for combustion chemistry reduction is tested under conditions representative of a non-premixed syngas oxy-flame.
