The corrosion properties of four Mg-5Al alloys with M-alloying elements(tin,manganese and zinc)in a 3.5 wt.%NaCl solution were examined using electrochemical tests and surface *** electrochemical results indicated that the addition of 1 wt.%M metal decreased the corrosion rate and hydrogen evolution rate of the Mg-5Al ***,the addition of 1Zn resulted in having the best corrosion resistance due to the interaction of Zn oxide with Mg and Al oxides which acted as a corrosion barrier.

The objective of this study is to develop a novel and efficient model for forecasting the nonlinear behavior of structures in response to time-varying random *** key idea is to design a deep learning architecture to leverage the relationships,between external excitations and structure's vibration signals,and between historical values and future values,within multiple time-series *** proposed method consists of two main steps:the first step applies a global attention mechanism to combine multiple-measured time series and time-varying excitation into a weighted time series before feeding it to a temporal architecture;the second step utilizes a self-attention mechanism followed by a fully connected layer to predict multi-step future *** viability of the proposed method is demonstrated via two case studies involving synthetic data from a three-dimensional(3D)reinforced concrete structure and experimental data from an 18-story steel ***,comparison and robustness studies are carried out,showing that the proposed method outperforms conventional methods and maintains high performance in the presence of noise with an amplitude of less than 10%.

Medium access control( MAC) protocol of underwater acoustic communication network is a key technology for underwater acoustic networks( UANs). Most of the MAC protocols for wireless terrestrial communication networks have been designed with negligible propagation delay. If it is deployed directly in an underwater environment,the UANs will perform inefficiently. In this paper,the characteristics of underwater acoustic channel are modeled and simulated by using the OPNET simulation tool,which are the speed of sound, propagation loss, and four sources for ambient noise: the turbulence,shipping,wind driven waves and thermal noise. The performance of pure Aloha( P-Aloha),carrier sense multiple access with collision avoidance( CSMA / CA) and multiple access collision avoidance for wireless local area network( MACAW) protocols in underwater acoustic channel environment are evaluated. The different performance of protocols in underwater environment is compared in the simulation.

研究了Mg-9Gd-4Y-0.6Zr挤压合金在静态退火过程中的微结构与织构的演变。采用金相显微镜、扫描电子显微镜、透射电子显微镜、XRD织构测试仪及EBSD分析技术表征了合金的晶粒长大、析出相沉淀及织构改变。结果表明,退火初期的晶粒细化是由再结晶引起的;晶间不均匀变形诱发了晶间的局部析出,继而抑制了再结晶过程。织构分析表明,热挤压产生了常见的基面纤维织构和不常见的柱面纤维织构,即c轴平行于挤压方向;在静态再结晶过程中,新晶粒形核会弱化柱面纤维,而晶粒长大过程会强化柱面纤维。晶界与亚晶界上的大量析出相抑制了织构改变。

Objective:To evaluate the effects of wedelolactone,a major flavonoid from Vietnamese Eclipta prostrata(L)L.,on inflammation and insulin ***:Wedelolactone was extracted from the leaves of Vietnamese Eclipta prostrata(L.)*** methanol by *** effects of wedelolactone on lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced cytokine production,reactive oxygen species(ROS)generation,and nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate(NADPH)oxidase activities in Raw 264.7 cells were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA),specific immunofluorescent dyes and luminometric analysis,*** addition,its effects on glucose uptake and the protein expression of insulin receptor substrate 1(IRS1)and glucose transporter 4(GLUT4)were examined in 3T3-L1 cells by immunofluorescent dyes and Western ***:Wedelolactone at 30μg/mL significantly inhibited LPS-induced production of tumor necrosis factor-α,interleukin(IL)-6,and IL-8(P<0.01)with no noticeable effects on IL-10 *** also reduced ROS generation and NADPH oxidase activities in LPS-stimulated Raw 264.7 cells(P<0.01).Furthermore,wedelolactone showed anti-insulin resistance activity,as evidenced by improved glucose uptake and the upregulated expression of IRS1 and GLUT4 in 3T3-L1 cells(P<0.01).Conclusions:Wedelolactone exhibits anti-inflammation and anti-insulin resistance effects,which may be used for the treatment of diabetes and inflammation-associated diseases.

Background In Viet nam, tuberculosis (TB) represents a devastating life-event with an exorbitant price tag, partly due to lost income from daily directly observed therapy in public sector care. Thus, persons with TB may seek care in the private sector for its flexibility, convenience, and privacy. Our study aimed to measure income changes, costs and catastrophic cost incurrence among TB-affected households in the public and private *** Between October 2020 and March 2022, we conducted 110 longitudinal patient cost interviews, among 50 patients privately treated for TB and 60 TB patients treated by the National TB Program (NTP) in Ha Noi, Hai Phong and Ho Chi Minh City, Viet nam. Using a local adaptation of the WHO TB patient cost survey tool, participants were interviewed during the intensive phase, continuation phase and post-treatment. We compared income levels, direct and indirect treatment costs, catastrophic costs using Wilcoxon rank-sum and chi-squared tests and associated risk factors between the two cohorts using multivariate *** The pre-treatment median monthly household income was significantly higher in the private sector versus NTP cohort (USD 868 vs USD 578;P=0.010).
