In Wireless Sensor Networks(WSNs),Clustering process is widely utilized for increasing the lifespan with sustained energy stability during data *** clustering protocols were devised for extending network lifetime,but most of them failed in handling the problem of fixed clustering,static rounds,and inadequate Cluster Head(CH)selection criteria which consumes more *** this paper,Stochastic Ranking Improved Teaching-Learning and Adaptive Grasshopper Optimization Algorithm(SRITL-AGOA)-based Clustering Scheme for energy stabilization and extending network *** SRITL-AGOA selected CH depending on the weightage of factors such as node mobility degree,neighbour's density distance to sink,single-hop or multihop communication and Residual Energy(RE)that directly influences the energy consumption of sensor *** specific,Grasshopper Optimization Algorithm(GOA)is improved through tangent-based nonlinear strategy for enhancing the ability of global *** the other hand,stochastic ranking and violation constraint handling strategies are embedded into Teaching-Learning-based Optimization Algorithm(TLOA)for improving its exploitation ***,SR and VCH improved TLOA is embedded into the exploitation phase of AGOA for selecting better CH by maintaining better balance amid exploration and *** results confirmed that the proposed SRITL-AGOA improved throughput by 21.86%,network stability by 18.94%,load balancing by 16.14%with minimized energy depletion by19.21%,compared to the competitive CH selection approaches.

Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever: An Overview

Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF) is a zoonotic viral infection that is a serious threat to humans. The disease is widely distributed in Africa, Asia, and Europe and has developed into a serious public health concern. Humans become infected through the bites of ticks, by contact with a patient with CCHF, or by contact with blood or tissues from viremic livestock. Microvascular instability and impaired hemostasis are the hallmarks of the infection. Infection in human begins with nonspecific febrile symptoms, but may progress to a serious hemorrhagic syndrome with high mortality rates. Enzyme-linked immunoassay (ELISA) and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) are the most used and specific tests for the diagnosis. The mainstay of treatment is supportive. Although definitive studies are not available, ribavirin is suggested to be effective especially at the earlier phase of the infection. Uses of universal protective measures are the best way to avoid the infection. In this review, all aspects of CCHF are overviewed in light of the current literature.

A simulation system for five axis nc machining using general cutting tools is presented This system differs from other simulation system in that it not only focuses on the geometric simulation but also focuses on the collision detection which is usually not included in nc machining simulation Besides all of these, estimating cutting forces is also discussed In order to obtain high efficiency, all algorithms use swept volume modeling technique, so the simulation system is compact and can be performed efficiently

It is known that manufacture of hypoid gears is difficult and complicated,the reason lies on the limitation of traditional mechanical machine tools. With the development ofnc machine tools, there should be new ways of cutting this kind of gear. Therefore, an idea togenerate gears with conjugating tooth surfaces is proposed, based on the 'flexibility'characteristic of nc that means various motions, in a sense, can be performed, arbitrarily on ncmachine tools. Using this method, the direction of the contact path on tooth surfaces can becontrolled, and also, theoretically, the generated tooth surfaces can transmit motion at specifictransmission ratio curve.

A Study on the Maneuvering Motion of a Low Speed Submersible

In this paper, the maneuvering characteristics of a low speed submersible are investigated. First, the captive model tests are carried out to obtain the hydrodynamic forces acting on the submersible using a Planar Motion Mechanism (PMM). For the hydrodynamic forces within a wide range of attack angles, the hydrodynamic coefficients which are usually used in the conventional maneuvering motion are quite difficult to be applied. In this case, a Fourier series is adopted to represent the hydrodynamic forces and it fits the experimental data well. Then, based on the experimental results the simulation calculations are made to predict some of the maneuvering performance of the low speed submersible.

In this paper, we are interested in the following general question： Given a module Mwhich has finite hollow dimension and which has a finite collection of submodules Ki （ 1≤i≤n） such that M=K1 ＋... ＋Kn can we find an expression for the hollow dimension of Min terms of hollow dimensions of modules built up in some way from Kt… ,Kn？ We prove the following theorem： Let Mbe an amply supplemented module having finite hollow dimension and let Ki （ 1 ≤i≤n） be a finite collection of submodules of M such that M=K1 ＋... ＋Kn. Then the hollow dimension h（M） of M is the sum of the hollow dimensions of Ki （1≤i≤n） if and only if Ki is a supplement of K1＋...＋K（i-1）＋K（i＋1）＋...＋Kn in M for each 1≤i≤n.

Anisotropy effect on strengths of metamorphic rocks

This paper aims to study the effect of anisotropy on strengths of several metamorphic rocks of southern(Cine) submassif of Menderes metamorphic massif in southwest Turkey. Four different metamorphic rocks including foliated phyllite, schist, gneiss and marble(calcschist) were selected and *** surveys were made along lines for each rock and evaluated with DIPS program. L-type Schmidt hammer was applied in the directions parallel and perpendicular to foliation during the field study. Several hand samples and rock blocks were collected during the field study for measurements of dry and saturated densities, dry and saturated unit weights and porosity, and for petrographic analysis and strength determination in laboratory. L-and N-type Schmidt hammers were applied in the directions perpendicular(anisotropy angle of 0°) and parallel(anisotropy angle of 90) to the foliation on selected blocks of phyllite, schist, gneiss and marble(calcschist). The phyllite and schist have higher porosity and lower density values than the other rocks. However, coarse crystalline gneiss and marble(calcschist) have higher rebound values and strengths, and they are classified as strong-very strong rocks. Generally, the rebound values in the direction perpendicular to the foliation are slightly higher than that in the direction parallel to foliation. Rebound values of N-type Schmidt hammer are higher than the L-type values except for phyllite. Sometimes, the rebound values of laboratory and field applications gave different results. This may result from variable local conditions such as minerals differentiation,discontinuities, water content, weathering degree and thickness of foliated structure.

Agrobacterium-mediated transformation and assessment of factors influ-encing transgene expression in loblolly pine （Pinus taeda L.）

This investigation reports a protocol for transfer and expression of foreign chimeric genes in loblolly pine (Pinus taeda L.). Transformation was achieved by co-cultivation of mature zygotic embryos with Agrobacterium tumefaciens strain LBA4404 which harbored a binary vector (pBI121) including genes for β-glucuronidase (GUS) and neomycin phosphotransferase (NPTII). Factors influencing transgene expression including seed sources of loblolly pine, concentration of bacteria, and the wounding procedures of target explants were investigated. The expression of foreign gene was confirmed by the ability of mature zygotic embryos to produce calli in the presence of kanamycin, by histochemical assays of GUS activity, by PCR analysis, and by Southern blot. The successful expression of the GUS gene in different families of loblolly pine suggests that this transformation system is probably useful for the production of the genetically modified conifers.

Gene silencing:Double-stranded RNA mediated mRNA degradation and gene inactivation

The recent development of gene transfer approaches in plants and animals has revealed that transgene can undergo silencing after integration in the genome. Host genes can also be silenced as a consequence of the presence of a homologous transgene. More and more investigations have demonstrated that double- stranded RNA can silence genes by triggering degradation of homologous RNA in the cytoplasm and by directing methylation of homologous nuclear DNA sequences. Analyses of Arabidopsis mutants and plant viral suppressors of silencing are unraveling RNA-silencing mechanisms and are assessing the role of methy- lation in transcriptional and posttranscriptional gene silencing. This review will focus on double-stranded RNA mediated mRNA degradation and gene inactivation in plants.

Determination of the Relationship between Empathy and Compassion Fatigue in Pediatric Clinic Nurses

Background:This study aimed to determine the relationship between compassion fatigue and empathic disposition and skill levels of pediatric clinic ***:This research was carried out as a descriptive and cross-sectional *** research was carried out with 233 nurses determined by using a stratified sampling method from 648 nurses working in two University Hospital and two City Hospital children’s *** were collected using the“Personal Information Form”,“Compassion Scale(CS)”,“Empathic Tendency Scale(ETS)”and“Empathic Skill Scale(ESS)”.Pearson Correlation test,Student’s t-test,ANOVA test,and Scheffe test were used in the analysis of the ***:The mean age of the nurses participating in the study was 30.93±6.23 years,81.1%were women and 54.9%were *** clinic nurses’mean compassion score was 96.29±11.64,empathic tendency mean score was 69.30±8.39,and empathic skill mean score was 140.82±*** to the findings obtained,the mean compassion score of the male,married,and nurses who were not satisfied with working in the pediatric clinics and working in the pediatric emergency clinics was found to be the lowest(pnclusion:This study confirms that pediatric clinic nurses are experiencing compassion fatigue at the end of COVID-19 and how this situation negatively affects their empathic tendencies and *** study highlights the need for both clinical and management-based planning to prevent compassion fatigue and increase empathic tendencies and skills in Pediatric clinic nurses.
