Spinal cord injuries lead to significant loss of motor, sensory, and autonomic functions, presenting major challenges in neural regeneration. Achieving effective therapeutic concentrations at injury sites has been a slow process, partly due to the difficulty of delivering drugs effectively. nanoparticles, with their targeted delivery capabilities, biocompatibility, and enhanced bioavailability over conventional drugs, are garnering attention for spinal cord injury treatment. this review explores the current mechanisms and shortcomings of existing treatments, highlighting the benefits and progress of nanoparticle-based approaches. We detail nanoparticle delivery methods for spinal cord injury, including local and intravenous injections, oral delivery, and biomaterial-assisted implantation, alongside strategies such as drug loading and surface modification. the discussion extends to how nanoparticles aid in reducing oxidative stress, dampening inflammation, fostering neural regeneration, and promoting angiogenesis. We summarize the use of various types of nanoparticles for treating spinal cord injuries, including metallic, polymeric, protein-based, inorganic non-metallic, and lipid nanoparticles. We also discuss the challenges faced, such as biosafety, effectiveness in humans, precise dosage control, standardization of production and characterization, immune responses, and targeted delivery in vivo. Additionally, we explore future directions, such as improving biosafety, standardizing manufacturing and characterization processes, and advancing human trials. nanoparticles have shown considerable progress in targeted delivery and enhancing treatment efficacy for spinal cord injuries, presenting significant potential for clinical use and drug development.

Boosting Oxygen Evolution Reaction Performance on niFe‑Based Catalysts through d‑Orbital Hybridization

Anion-exchange membrane water electrolyzers(AEMWEs)for green hydrogen production have received intensive attention due to their feasibility of using earth-abundant niFe-based *** introducing a third metal into niFe-based catalysts to construct asymmetrical M-niFe units,the d-orbital and electronic structures can be adjusted,which is an important strategy to achieve sufficient oxygen evolution reaction(OER)performance in ***,the ternary niFeM(M:La,Mo)catalysts featured with distinct M-niFe units and varying d-orbitals are reported in this *** and theoretical calculation results reveal that the doping of La leads to optimized hybridization between d orbital in niFeM and 2p in oxygen,resulting in enhanced adsorption strength of oxygen intermediates,and reduced rate-determining step energy barrier,which is responsible for the enhanced OER *** critically,the obtained niFeLa catalyst only requires 1.58 V to reach 1 A cm^(−2) in an anion exchange membrane electrolyzer and demonstrates excellent long-term stability of up to 600 h.

Encapsulating perovskite quantum dots into 3D COF for visible light-driven CO2 reduction

Lead halide perovskite quantum dots（LHP QDs） have been revealed to possess great potential in photocatalytic applications including CO2reduction, which however suffer from poor stability. Herein, a high crystalline hydrazine-linked three-dimensional（3D） covalent organic framework, UStB-17, was fabricated from the reaction between 12-connected building block and 4-connected 3,5,7-tetrakis（4-aldophenyl）-adamantane. Post-modification with ni2+affords the metallic framework UStB-17（ni）followed by sequential deposition of the CH3nH2PbI3（MAPbI3） perovskite QDs into its pores, generating the UStB-17（ni）@MAPbI3composite. Powder X-ray diffraction analysis together with theoretical simulations and transmission electron microscopy discloses the crystalline nature of UStB-17, UStB-17（ni）, and UStB-17（ni）@MAPbI3with an unprecedented noninterpenetrated hpt topology. the close contact of QDs inside the COF pores with the ni catalytic site locating at the pore surface of COF allows a rapid transfer of the photogenerated electrons in QDs to the ni catalytic sites, enhancing the photocatalytic activity for CO2reduction. this endows UStB-17（ni）@MAPbI3with efficient photocatalysis performance for photocatalytic CO2reduction with CO generation rate of 365 μmol g-1h-1and CO selectivity up to 96% under visible-light irradiation, 7 times higher than that of UStB-17（ni）. After four cycles of reactions, the photocatalytic CO generation rate remains almost unchanged, demonstrating its excellent cycle stability.

Controlled cationic ring-opening polymerization of L-lactide by organic ion pair: novel approach to isotactic-rich and crystalline polylactide

Living/controlled cationic ring-opening polymerization （ROP） of L-lactide is a promising approach to isotactic-rich and crystalline poly（L-lactide）.In contrast with the unsubstituted lactones,L-LA can not be polymerized by organic Lewis acids or carbenium ions,and the state of the art in this field is the cationic ROP of L-LA catalyzed by Br?nsted acid/alcohol system via activated monomer ***,we reported the first example of controlled cationic ROP of L-LA by using Meerweintype ion pair[Me3O]+[B（C6F5）4]-as the catalyst.[Me3O]+[B（C6F5）4]-promoted rapid L-LA cationic polymerization in the absence of alcohol,producing isotactic-rich and crystalline PLLA without transesterification and epimerization side *** activated chain end mechanism,involving twice Sn2 substitution and configuration-inversion （S→R→S） with the assistance of released Me2O,was proposed and further verified by density functional theory and control *** work expands the catalytic toolbox of isotactic-rich and crystalline polylactide *** represents a unique example of cationic-controlled polymerization of L-LA catalyzed by an organic ion pair.

Delayed tooth extraction socket(tES) healing can cause failure of subsequent oral implantation and increase socioeconomic burden on patients. Excessive amounts of M1 macrophages, apoptotic neutrophils(Ans), and neutrophil extracellular traps(nEts) impair alveolar bone regeneration during tES healing. In the present study, we first discovered that conditioned medium(CM) collected from berberine-treated human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BBR-HB-CM) accelerated tES healing. BBR-HB-CM contained bioactive materials that promoted the polarization of macrophages from M1 to M2, impeded the formation of Ans and nEts, and modulated M2 macrophage efferocytosis in vivo and in vitro. Mechanistically, BBR-HB-CM promoted bone formation by inhibiting macrophage-myofibroblast transition and reprogrammed macrophage polarization through p85/AKt/mtOR pathway-dependent autophagy. the 3-methyladenine abolished the therapeutic effects of BBR-HB-CM. Further studies revealed that BBR-HB-CM accelerated tES healing in rats with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Overall, our results demonstrated that BBR-HB-CM had high potential to promote rapid tES healing.

nowadays,force sensors play an important role in industrial production,electronic information,medical health,and many other ***-dimensional material-based filed effect transistor(2D-FEt)sensors are competitive with nano-level size,lower power consumption,and accurate ***,few of them has the capability of impulse detection which is a path function,expressing the cumulative effect of the force on the particle over a period of *** we fabricated the flexible polymethyl methacrylate(PMMA)gate dielectric MoS_(2)-FEt for force and impulse sensor *** systematically investigated the responses of the sensor to constant force and varying forces,and achieved the conversion factors of the drain current signals(I_(ds))to the detected impulse(I).the applied force was detected and recorded by I_(ds)with a low power consumption of~30 *** sensitivity of the device can reach~8000%and the 4×1 sensor array is able to detect and locate the normal force applied on ***,there was almost no performance loss for the device as left in the air for two months.

Jacobi theta functions with rational characteristics can be viewed as vector-valued Jacobi *** relations usually correspond to different constructions of certain Jacobi forms. From this observation, we extract a new approach, which is called orbits of Jacobi forms, to produce identities on Jacobi theta *** approach not only provides simple proofs of many known theta relations but also produces a large number of new identities, which can be considered as generalizations of Riemann’s theta relations.
