This article analyzes the transmission line characteristics of plasmonic hybrid metal insulator metal(HMIM) wave-guide, circular ring resonator(CRR) based dual-band band-pass filters with two transmission poles in both pass-bands in the optical regime using coupled line feed. The transmission line characteristics of an HMIM waveguide, such as characteristic impedance(Z_(PV)), effective refractive index(n_(eff)) and propagation length(L_(spp)), have been obtained by using full wave simulation.

A new empirical formula for the astrophysical S-factor has been suggested as a function of the Coulomb interaction parameter,center of mass energy,and barrier *** 22 fusion reactions with ^(40,48)Ca as projectiles were considered for different targets,leading to compound nuclei with atomic and mass numbers varying between 40≤Z≤≤Z≤112 and 88≤A≤27888≤A≤278,*** fusion cross-sections have been estimated using the geometric factor,the Gamow-Sommerfield factor,and the empirical formula for the *** study's findings showed better agreement with those of available experiments when compared to Wong's *** present work leads to a smaller standard deviation value than Wong's formula when used to correlate the experimental data of calcium-induced fusion ***'s formula provides a good approximation of fusion cross-sections when the center of mass energy is below the fusion barrier when compared to above the fusion barrier.

Global Positioning System(GPS)measurements of integrated water vapor(IWV)for two years(2014 and 2015)are presented in this *** of IWV during active and break spells of Indian summer monsoon has been studied for a tropical station Hyderabad(17.4°n,78.46°E).The data is validated with ECMWF Re-Analysis(ERA)91 level *** of IWV with other atmospheric variables like surface temperature,rain,and precipitation efficiency have been established through cross-correlation studies.A positive correlation coefficient is observed between IWV and surface temperature over two *** the coefficient becomes negative when only summer monsoon months(June,July,August,and September)are *** during these months cools down the surface and could be the reason for this change in the correlation *** studies between IWV-precipitation,IWVprecipitation efficiency(P.E),and precipitation-P.E show that coefficients are-0.05,-0.10 and 0.983 with 95%confidence level respectively,which proves that the efficacy of rain does not depend only on the level of water vapor.A proper dynamic mechanism is necessary to convert water vapor into the *** diurnal variations of IWV during active and break spells have been *** amplitudes of diurnal oscillation and its harmonics of individual spell do not show clear trends but the mean amplitudes of the break spells are approximately double than those of the active *** amplitudes of diurnal,semidiurnal and ter-diurnal components during break spells are 1.08 kg/m^(2),0.52 kg/m;and 0.34 kg/m;*** corresponding amplitudes during active spells are 0.68 kg/m^(2),0.41 kg/m;and 0.23 kg/m;.

High-voltage(>4.0 V)lithium metal battery(LBM)is considered to be one of the most promising candidates for next-generation high-energy ***,the commercial carbonate electrolyte delivers a poor compatibility with Li metal anode,and its organic dominated solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)shows a low interfacial energy and a slow Li^(+)diffusion *** this work,an inorganic LiF-Li_(3)n rich SEI is designed to enable high-voltage LBM by introducing nano-cubic LiF and LinO_(3)into1 M LiPF_(6)ethylene carbonate(EC)/dimethyl carbonate(DMC)(v:v=1:1)***,the unique nano-cubic structure of as-synthetized LiF particles achieves its high concentration dissolution in carbonate electrolyte to enhance the interfacial energy of *** addition,tetramethylene sulfolane(TMS)is used as a carrier solvent to dissolve LinO_(3)in the carbonate electrolyte,thereby deriving a Li_(3)n-rich *** a result,the as-designed electrolyte shows a high average Li plating/striping CE of 98.3%after 100 cycles at 0.5 m A cm^(-2)/0.5 mA h cm^(-2).Furthermore,it also enables the ultrathin Li(~50μm)‖Lini_(0.8)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)O_(2)(nCM,4.4 mA h cm^(-2))full cell to deliver a high-capacity retention of 80.4%after 100 cycles with an outstanding average CE of 99.7%.notably,the practical application prospect of the modified electrolyte is also estimated in Lini_(0.8)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)O_(2)‖Li pouch cell with an energy density of 261.2 W h kg^(-1).This work sheds light on the internal mechanism of Li^(+)transport within the inorganic dominated SEI and provides a simple approach to stabilize the high-voltage LMBs.

BACKGROUnD Perioperative surgical home(PSH)is a novel patient-centric surgical system developed by American Society of Anesthesiologist to improve outcomes and patient *** has proven success in large urban health centers by reducing surgery cancellation,operating room time,length of stay(LOS),and readmission ***,only limited studies have assessed the impact of PSH on surgical outcomes in rural *** To evaluate the newly implemented PSH system at a community hospital by comparing the surgical outcomes using a longitudinal case-control *** The research study was conducted at an 83-bed,licensed level-III trauma rural community hospital.A total of 3096 TJR procedures were collected retrospectively between January 2016 and December 2021 and were categorized as PSH and non-PSH cohorts(n=2305).To evaluate the importance of PSH in the rural surgical system,a case-control study was performed to compare TJR surgical outcomes(LOS,discharge disposition,and 90-d readmission)of the PSH cohort against two control cohorts[Control-1 PSH(C1-PSH)(n=1413)and Control-2 PSH(C2-PSH)(n=892)].Statistical tests including Chi-square test or Fischer’s exact test were performed for categorical variables and Mann-Whitney test or Student’s t-test were performed for continuous *** general linear models(Poisson regression and binomial logistic regression)were performed to fit adjusted *** The LOS was significantly shorter in PSH cohort compared to two control cohorts(median PSH=34 h,C1-PSH=53 h,C2-PSH=35 h)(P valuentages of discharges to other facilities(PSH=3.5%,C1-PSH=15.5%,C2-PSH=6.7%)(P valueno statistical difference observed in 90-d readmission between control and PSH ***,the PSH implementation reduced the 90-d readmission percentage(PSH=4.7%,C1-PSH=6.1%,C2-PSH=3.6%)lower than the national average 30-d readmission percentage which is 5.5%.The PSH system was effecti

The dissimilar combinations of Inconel 625 and duplex stainless steel SAF 2205 obtained from manual GTA welding process employing ER2209 and ERni CrMo-3 filler metals have been investigated. Formation of secondary phases at the HAZ of Inconel 625 and grain coarsening at the HAZ of SAF 2205 were witnessed while using these filler wires. The average hardness of ER2209 weldments was found to be greater than ERni CrMo-3 weld. Tensile fracture was observed at the weld zones for both the fillers. Impact test trials showed brittle mode of fracture on employing ER2209 filler and mixed（ductile–brittle） mode of fracture while using ERni CrMo-3 filler. Further optical microscopy and SEM/EDS analysis were carried out across the weldments to investigate the structure–property relationships.

The power output of the photovoltaic(PV) system having multiple arrays gets reduced to a great extent when it is partially shaded due to environmental hindrances. The maximum power trackers which are conventionally used may not be competent enough to find the maximum power point(MPP) during partially shaded conditions. The sensible reason for the failure of conventional trackers is during partial shaded conditions the PV arrays exhibit multi peak power curves, thereby making simple maximum power point tracking(MPPT) algorithms like perturb and observe(P&O) to get stuck with local maxima instead of capturing global ***, global search MPPT aided by evolutionary and swarm intelligence algorithms will be conducive to find global power point during partially shaded conditions. This work suggests a unified controller which feeds control signal to its power electronic conditioner placed at each module. The evolutionary algorithm which is taken into consideration in this work is differential evolution(DE).The performance of the proposed method is compared to the classical un-dimensional search controller and it is evident from the Matlab/Simulink results that the unified controller prevails over the distributed counterpart.

Ultimate Strength Prediction of Carbon/Epoxy Tensile Specimens from Acoustic Emission Data

The objective of this paper was to predict the residual strength of post impacted carbon/epoxy composite laminates using an online acoustic emission （AE） monitoring and artificial neural networks （Ann）. The laminates were made from eight-layered carbon （in woven mat form） with epoxy as the binding medium by hand lay-up technique and cured at a pressure of 100 kg/cm2 under room temperature using a 30 ton capacity compression molding machine for 24 h. 21 tensile specimens （ASTM D3039 standard） were cut from the cross ply laminates. 16 specimens were subjected to impact load from three different heights using a Fractovis Plus drop impact tester. Both impacted and non-impacted specimens were subjected to uniaxial tension under the acoustic emission monitoring using a 100 kn FIE servo hydraulic universal testing machine. The dominant AE parameters such as counts, energy, duration, rise time and amplitude are recorded during monitoring. Cumulative counts corresponding to the amplitude ranges obtained during the tensile testing are used to train the network. This network can be used to predict the failure load of a similar specimen subjected to uniaxial tension under acoustic emission monitoring for certain percentage of the average failure load.
