Potential application of graphene oxide and Aspergillus niger spores with high adsorption capacity for recovery of europium from red phosphor,compact fluorescent lamp and simulated radioactive waste

The recovery of rare earth elements(REEs) is a global challenge and the mining of rare earths has serious environmental implications due to the toxic waste released post ***,the rising demand for rare earths and their far reaching electronic applications necessitates an effective strategy to recover the REEs from more viable *** this work,the graphene oxide-Aspergillus niger spores(*** spores) blend was utilized for adsorptive recovery of a precious rare earth Eu(Ⅲ) and the adsorption variables like pH of the medium,adsorbent dosage,sorption kinetics,thermodynamics,and isotherm were optimized for the developed bioso *** adsorption process suits the Langmuir isotherm model with a maximum adsorption capacity of 147.3 mg/*** pseudo-second-order kinetics is a perfect fit to describe the adsorption *** results obtained through the Van’t Hoff plot show negative free energy change(ΔG^(0)) which implies the spontaneity of the adsorption *** negative standard enthalpy change(ΔH^(0)) values show that the nature of the adsorption process is *** analytical characterizations including Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),Raman,X-ray diffraction(XRD),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET),thermal gravimetric analysis(TGA),and scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(SEM-EDX) were employed to study the *** features of *** spores biosorbent were applied to recover Eu(Ⅲ) from real samples such as fluorescent lamp phosphor,red phosphor powder,and a simulated radioactive waste solution.

Joining of hybrid AA6063-6SiCp-3Grp composite and AISI1030 steel by friction welding

Joining of metals and aluminium hybrid metal matrix composites has significant applications in aviation,ship building and automotive industries. In the present work, investigation is carried out on Friction Welding of AISI 1030 steel and hybrid AA6063-6 SiC_p-3 Gr_pcomposite, that are difficult to weld by fusion welding technique. Silicon carbide and graphite particle reinforced AA6063 matrix hybrid composite was developed successfully using stir casting method and the joining feasibility of AISI1030 steel with AA6063-6 SiC_p-3 Gr_p hybrid composite was tried out by friction stud welding technique. During friction stage of welding process, the particulates(SiC & Graphite) used for reinforcement, tend to increase the viscosity and lead to improper mixing of matrix and reinforcement. This eventually results in lower strength in dissimilar joints. To overcome this difficulty AA1100 interlayer is used while joining hybrid composite to AISI 1030 steel. Experimentation was carried out using Taguchi based design of experiments(DOE) technique. Multiple regression methods were applied to understand the relationship between process parameters of the friction stud welding process. Micro structural examination reveals three separate zones namely fully plasticized zone, partially deformed zone and unaffected base material zone. Ultra fine dynamically recrystallized grains of about 341 nm were observed at the fully plasticized zone. EDX analysis confirms the presence of intermetallic compound Fe_2 Al_5 at the joint interface. According to the experimental analysis using DOE, rotational speed and interlayer sheet thickness contribute about 39% and 36% respectively in determining the impact strength of the welded joints. It is found that joining with 0.5 mm interlayer sheet provides efficient joints. Developed regression model could be used to predict the axial shortening distance and impact strength of the welded joint with reasonable accuracy.

Biodiesel production from microalgae depends on algal biomass production through autotrophic cultivation,and it has a lot of potential as a feasible alternative source of *** lethal and mutagenic effects of ethyl methanesulphonate(EMS)are investigated in the present study on the organism Chlorella pyrenoidosa for the generation of paler *** *** wild-type strain was treated with 0.1,0.2,and 0.5 M EMS doses and the colonies that appeared after 20 days of growth on a solid TAP medium were analyzed,and a total of two mutant colonies with less pigmentation were *** CPM1(10.02±0.03 and 3.12±0.04µg/ml)and CPM2(9.55±0.0 and 32.84±0.03µg/ml)mutants had lower chloro-phyll a and b and carotenoids content than wild *** produced significant biomass(1.34-and 1.31-fold enhanced biomass in CPM1 and CPM2)and lipid content than the wild *** findings suggest that genetic modification of *** has the potential to produce strains with increased biomass productivity and lipid content for biofuel production.

In this study,the biosorption of Malachite green(MG)onto Turbinaria conoides,brown marine algae,was studied with respect to initial pH,temperature,initial dye concentration,and sorbent *** optimum initial pH and temperature values for MG removal were found to be 8.0 and 30℃,*** dosage was found to strongly influence the removal of *** studies were carried out to test the validity of the Langmuir(q_(max)=66.6 mg/g and b=0.526 mL mol/L)and the Freundlich(n=1.826 and K=3.751 mg/g)*** kinetic studies indicated the validity of the pseudo first-order and second-order equation.

ηn interactions are investigated in hot magnetized asymmetric nuclear matter using the chiral SU(3)model and chiral perturbation theory(ChPT).In the chiral modcl,thc in-medium properties of η-mesons are calcu-lated using medium modified scalar densities under the influence of an extermal magnetic ***,in a com-bined chiral model and ChPT approach,off-shell contributions of the ηn interactions are evaluated from the ChPTeffective ηn Lagrangian,and the in-medium effect of scalar densities are incorporated from the chiral SU(3)*** find that the magnetic field has a significant effect on the in-medium mass and optical potential of η mesons,andwe observe a deeper mass-shift in the combined chiral model and ChPT approach than in the solo chiral SU(3)*** both approaches,no additional mass-shift is observed due to the uncharged nature of η mesons in the presenceof a magnetic field.
