the pressure broadening in the far wings, where the sodium na(3 p ← 3 s) resonance line is perturbed by ground lithium Li(2 s) atoms, has been theoretically analyzed. the na.i potential–energy curves and the transition dipole moments are constructed by using a reliable ab initio data points to carry out the reduced-absorption coefficients k_r(ν, t). this quantum-mecha.ical investiga.ion have demonstrated that the na.i profile spectra show a satellite future in the red wing at wavelength λ = 685 nm in the temperature range 4000 k–1.8 × 10~4 k. the computa.ion could also exhibit a second satellite, in the blue wing, near the wavelength λ = 574 nm beyond 6000 k.a.d a third peak located at λ = 490 nm which begins to appear at 1.8 × 10~4 k.

Background:Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the most common cause of cancer-related death in Saudi Ara.ia. Our study aimed to investigate the patterns of HCC and the effect of tnm sta.ing, Alfa-fetoprotein (AFP), and Child-turcotte Pugh (CtP) on pa.ients' overall survival (OS).m.t.ods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on 43 HCC pa.ients at a single oncology center in Saudi Ara.ia from 2015 to 2020. All pa.ients had to fulfill one of the following criteria: (a) a liver lesion reported as definitive HCC on dyna.ic ima.ing and/or (b) a biopsy-confirmed diagnosis.Results:the mean pa.ient age of all HCC cases was 66.8 with a male-to-female ra.io of 3.3:1. All pa.ients were stra.ified into two groups: viral HCC (n = 22, 51%) and non-viral HCC (n = 21, 49%). Among viral-HCC pa.ients, 55% were due to HBV and 45% due to HCV. Cirrhosis was diagnosed in 79% of cases. Age and sex did not significantly sta.istically differ in OS among viral and non-viral HCC pa.ients (-value > 0.05). About 65% of pa.ients had tumor size >5 cm during the diagnosis, with a significant sta.istical difference in OS (-value = 0.027). AFP was >400 ng/ml in 45% of the pa.ients. there was a sta.istically significant difference in the OS in terms of AFP levels (-value = 0.021). A sta.istically significant difference was also observed between the CtP score and OS (-value = 0.02). CtP class B had the longest survival. BSC was the most common treatment provided to HCC pa.ients followed by sorafenib therapy. there was a significant sta.istical difference in OS among viral and non-viral HCC pa.ients (-value = 0.008).Conclusions:the most common predictors for OS were the underlying cause of HCC, AFP, and tumor size. Being ha.ing non-viral etiology, a tumor size >5 cm, an AFP > 400 ng/mL, and a CtP score class C were all nega.ively associated with OS.

Proton-rich nuclei are synthesized via photodisintegra.ion and reverse *** exa.ine this mecha.ism and reproduce the observed p-nucleus abundances,it is crucial to know the reaction rates and thereby the reaction cross sections of many *** that the number of experiments on the reactions in astrophysical energy regions is very rare,the reaction cross sections are determined by theoretical m.t.ods whose accuracy should be *** this study,given that ^(121)Sb is a stable seed isotope located in the region of medium-mass p-nuclei,we investigated the cross sections and reaction rates of the ^(121)Sb(α,γ)^(125)i reaction using the tALYS computer code with 432 different combina.ions of input param.t.rs(OmP,LDm,and SFm).the optimal model combina.ions were determined using the threshold logic unit *** theoretical reaction cross-sectional results were compared with the experimental results reported in the *** reaction rates were determined using the two input param.t.r sets most compa.ible with the measurements,and they were compared with the reaction rate databases:StARLiB and REACLiB.

the growth rate of the hya.id amphipod Hyale perieri was studied on the bases of ikeda'sgrowth model which is based on the inter moult period (iP) and moult increament (△BL). to apply this approach, laboratory experiments were carried out at three temperatures regimes (15℃, 20℃, 25℃ ) to gain accurate data of iP and BL. the total number of specimens used in this study was 86 at 15℃ , 24 at 20℃ and 70 at 25℃. the number of flagellar segments of both antennae of the Hyale perieri could not be used as an index of growth (instar criterion). the obtained results indicated that, the predicted iP of the specimens was inversely related to temperature and in good agreement with the observed values at the experimental temperatures. iP data obtained from laboratory-reared specimes are combined with ABL data to establish a growth model for Hyale perieri from its release from.t.e mar-supium (1.64 mm BL ) to the ma.imum size (12.67 mm BL) as a function of temperature. the ma.imum numbers of consecutive moults recorded during the experiment were 13 moults (14 instar) at 15℃, 14 moults (15 instar) at 20℃ and 12 moults (13 instar) at 25℃ . the predicted life span for BL = 12.67 mm (moult 13) was 203.82 d at 15t, for BL = 11.75 mm (moult 14) was 138.94 d at 20℃ and for BL = 8.65 mm (moult 12) was 75.40 d at 25℃ respectively, thus confirming that the life span of the species is inversely proportional to temperature. Within the experimental temperatures tested, the optimum.t.mperature for the growth of the species was 20℃.

A triple frequency capa.itively coupled plasma （tF-CCP） has been considered to investigate the beha.ior of the sheath param.t.rs. A self-consistent time-independent collisionless model has been developed. the sheath width and potential are calculated using the present model and compared with those calculated using a single-frequency （SF）, a dual-frequency （DF） and a triple-frequency （tF） model for time independent collisionless cases. the sheath m.t.on and sheath potential are found to be larger compared with those of SF and DF CCPs for an inhomogeneous sheath, and that of tF CCP for a homogeneous sheath. the effects of the source param.t.rs, i.e., current magnitudes, frequencies and phase difference, on the sheath param.t.rs are investigated. the sheath param.t.rs show higher values at higher source currents whereas they decrease with the increase of excita.ion frequencies. it has also been found that, by the proper choice of source frequencies and phase differences, it is possible to adjust the energy of ions when they hit the electrode.

We report an experimental route for synthesizing perovskite-structured strontium.t.tanate （SrtiO3） nanocubes using an alka.i hydrothermal process at low temperatures without further hea.ing. Furthermore, we studied the influence of hea.ing time （at 180℃） on the crystallinity, morphology, and perovskite phase form.t.on of SrtiO3. the SrtiO3 powder, which is formed via nanocube agglomera.ion, transforms into cubic particles with a particle size of 120--150 nm after 6 h of hydrothermal sintering. the crystallinity and percentage of the perovskite phase in the product increased with hea.ing time. the cubic particles contained 31.24at% anatase tiO2 that originated fi＇om.t.e precursor. By varying the weight ra.io of anatase tiO2 used to react with the strontium salt precursor, we reduced the anatase-tiO2 content to 18.8at%. However, the average particle size increased when the anatase-tiO2 content decreased.

increased demand for affordable housing and the lim.t.d availa.ility of flat terrain for its construction are two major problems fa.ing the provision of houses of acceptable qua.ity in many countries around the *** is lim.t.d research integra.ing the utiliza.ion of a stepped approach to sloping terrain with appropriate housing models to minimize slope insta.ility *** paper introduces a new semi-tiered housing model where the footprint of the house is located on tiers prepared with short vertical cuts of *** vertical cuts are found to be stable with laterite soil which is a commonly available type of soil in the *** excess soil generated from cut m.t.rial was transformed into cement sta.ilized rammed earth,which is a cost effective m.t.rial with low embodied *** is an ideal candidate for the construction of retaining walls and founda.ions,and such applica.ions are demonstrated with adequate ***,many other types of sustainable building m.t.rials are highlighted with a case study of this housing model in a scheme of 13 housing units in Sri *** attention to detail required in construction and the applica.ility of alterna.ive building m.t.rials and m.t.ods to improve the sustaina.ility of such houses have been discussed in *** semi-tiered houses have the potential to address many of the current construction challenges.

in the present investiga.ion, two zeolite-rich tuffs from guaymas and El Cajon（State of Sonora）, which were conditioned with a sodium chloride solution and subsequently modified with a thiourea solution, were chosen to evaluate the removal of Cd from aqueous systems. the zeolitic m.t.rials were characterized by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction. the surface area was also determined. the experiments were performed in a batch system, and the influences of p H, contact time between phases, and the concentra.ion of Cd in the solution on the adsorption by sodium or thiourea-modified zeolite-rich tuff were investigated. it was found that the efficiency of Cd ion removal from aqueous solutions is influenced by the p H of the aqueous systems. the Cd adsorption kinetic data were well fitted to a pseudo-second-order model in all cases. the Langmuir and Langmuir–Freundlich isotherms adequately described the Cd sorption beha.ior by the zeolite from El Cajon pretreated with na Cl and the zeolite from guaymas modified with thiourea, respectively.
