Linearly Polarized Millimeter Wave Reflectarray with Mutual Coupling Optimization

This work provides the design and analysis of a single layer,linearly polarized millimeter wave reflectarray antenna with mutual coupling *** analysis was carried out at 26Ghz design frequency using the simulations of the reflectarray unit cells as well as the periodic reflectarray *** simulated results were verified by the scattering parameter and far-fieldmeasurements of the unit cell and periodic arrays,*** agreement between the simulated and measured results was observed in all the *** from the unit cells and reflectarray,the waveguide and horn antenna were also fabricated to be used in the *** measured scattering parameter results of the proposed circular ring unit cells provided a maximum reflection loss of 2.8 dB with phase errors below 10°.On the other hand,the measured far-field results of the 20×20 reflectarray antenna provided a maximum gain of 26.45 dB with a maximum 3 dB beam width of 12°and 1 dB gain drop bandwidth of 13.1%.The performance demonstrated by the proposed reflectarray antenna makes it a potential candidate to be used in modern-day applications such as 5th Generation(5G)and 6th Generation(6G)communication systems.

Marinoan glaciation in the Indian subcontinent——Anatomy and global implications

Detailed sedimentological analysis of the Pokaran Boulder Bed,representing the most basal unit of the neoproterozoic-Lower Cambrian Marwar Supergroup,clearly indicates its glacial *** glacial sediments are interpreted as an ice-contact submarine fan *** on the detrital and inherited zircon population of the Marwar Supergroup sediments and interlayered pyroclastic deposits,a Marinoan cryochron of the Cryogenian Period is envisaged for the Pokaran Boulder *** well-preserved Ediacaran elements in the post-glacial sedimentary succession also support a Cryogenian to Early Cambrian age of the Marwar *** glacial deposition at the base of the Marwar Supergroup strengthens the regional correlation between the studied sediments with the Lesser himalayan Blaini-Krol-Tal sediments and the haqf Supergroup of *** available zircon ages and paleomagnetic data of the Malani Igneous suite,along with the Marinoan glacial deposits,detrital zircon ages,and Ediacaran fossil elements of the Marwar Supergroup add significant information to the neoproterozoic Earth history.

Epigenetic control on transcription of vernalization genes and whole-genome gene expression profile induced by vernalization in common wheat

Vernalization is necessary for winter wheat to ***,it is unclear whether vernalization is also required for spring wheat,which is frequently sown in fall,and what molecular mechanisms underlie the vernalization response in wheat *** this study,we examined the molecular mechanisms that regulate vernalization response in winter and spring wheat *** this purpose,we determined how major vernalization genes(VRn1,VRn2,and VRn3)respond to vernalization in these varieties and whether modifications to histones play a role in changes in gene *** also identified genes that are differentially regulated in response to vernalization in winter and spring wheat *** found that in winter wheat,but not in spring wheat,VRn1 expression decreases when returned to warm temperature following *** finding may be associated with differences between spring and winter wheat in the levels of tri-methylation of lysine 27 on histone h3(h3K27me3)and tri-methylation of lysine 4 on histone h3(h3K4me3)at the VRn1 *** of winter wheat transcriptomes before and after vernalization revealed that vernalization influences the expression of several genes,including those involved in leucine catabolism,cysteine biosynthesis,and flavonoid *** findings provide new candidates for further study on the mechanism of vernalization regulation in wheat.

Effect of cold-working on corrosion induced damage in lug joints

Lug joints are preferred joineries for transferring heavy loads to parent components in aerospace *** experience corrosion due to environmental conditions,improper surface finishes and rubbing displacement between the pin and *** causes damage of different sizes and shapes near the *** degradation due to corrosion-induced damage is modelled as a through-pit at one of the identified critical locations through stress *** effect of this pit on fatigue crack initiation life is ***-hole is pre-stressed by cold-working and the benefits of inducing plastic wake on the intended performance of the lug joint during the damages due to corrosion are brought out and compared with non-cold-worked *** analysis is performed on this lug joint with *** results obtained highlight the benefits of cold-working and the methodology can be extended to damage growth and analyse the effect of surface treatments for better structural integrity of components of aerospace vehicles.

half-metallic ferromagnetism,mechanical as well as thermoelectric properties for rare earth-based spinels Mgho_(2)Z_(4)(Z=S,Se)were investigated using density functional theory(DFT).Structural optimization was done with Perdew-Burke-Ehrenzorf(PBE)sol-generalized gradient approximation(GGA)to calculate the lattice constant of both spinels comparable to experimental *** addition,Born stability criteria and negative formation energy show that our studied spinels are also structurally and dynamically stable in the cubic *** ferromagnetic(FM)state stability,we also calculated the energy differences among FM,antiferromagnetic(AFM),and non-magnetic(nM)***,Curie temperatures of ferromagnetic phases were also *** used Trans-Blaha improved BeckeJohnson(TB-mBJ)potential functional for electronics as well as magnetic characteristics,which lead to the consistent explanation of half-metallic ferromagnetism,representing the whole band-occupancy in material with exact detail of density of states(DOS).The stable FM state was examined in spinels due to the exchange splitting of ho cation consisting of p-d hybridizations compatible with the result achieved for electronics band structure and ***,spin magnetic moment was explained in terms of anion,cation,and sharing charge on studied *** addition,the calculated thermoelectric properties clearly show that operation range of these systems may be utilized by future experimental works for identifying the potential applications of these systems.

Portal hypertension(Ph)poses significant *** paper presents an innovative study on the utilization of endoscopic ultrasound(EUS)for both the diagnosis and management of *** at *** Mangunkusumo national General hospital in Jakarta,this retrospective case series included patients diagnosed with Ph through clinical examination,imaging evaluation,and *** criteria comprised a history of reduced blood consumption within the last 5 days,hepatocellular carcinoma,massive ascites,or elevated international normalized ratio(>1.4).EUS-guided portal pressure gradient(PPG)measurements were performed using an innovative standard *** study involved 15 patients,with 14 having liver cirrhosis and 1 diagnosed with Budd–Chiari *** them,nine patients experienced bleeding due to gastroesophageal *** and large esophageal varices were identified in four and eight patients,*** varices type 1 were observed in two patients,and type 2 in four *** gastric fundal varices type 1 were present in one *** on EUS-PPG measurements,14 patients exhibited clinically significant portal *** patients underwent endoscopic band ligation and three underwent EUS-guided cyanoacrylate injection during the same session as the EUS-PPG measurement ***,no adverse events,such as abdominal pain,perforation,or bleeding were observed during or after the *** emerges as a promising and accurate tool for both diagnosis and management.

Empirical model for fusion cross sections of Ca-induced reactions

A new empirical formula for the astrophysical S-factor has been suggested as a function of the Coulomb interaction parameter,center of mass energy,and barrier *** 22 fusion reactions with ^(40,48)Ca as projectiles were considered for different targets,leading to compound nuclei with atomic and mass numbers varying between 40≤Z≤≤Z≤112 and 88≤A≤27888≤A≤278,*** fusion cross-sections have been estimated using the geometric factor,the Gamow-Sommerfield factor,and the empirical formula for the *** study's findings showed better agreement with those of available experiments when compared to Wong's *** present work leads to a smaller standard deviation value than Wong's formula when used to correlate the experimental data of calcium-induced fusion ***'s formula provides a good approximation of fusion cross-sections when the center of mass energy is below the fusion barrier when compared to above the fusion barrier.

nitrate(nO_(3)^(-)),a nitrogen-containing pollutant,is prevalent in aqueous solutions,contributing to a range of environmental and health-related *** electrocatalytic reduction of nO_(3)^(-)holds promise as a sustainable approach to both eliminating nO_(3)^(-)and generating valuable ammonia(nh_(3)).nevertheless,the reduction reaction of nO_(3)^(-)(nO_(3)^(-)RR),involving 8-electron transfer process,is intricate,necessitating highly efficient electrocatalysts to facilitate the conversion of nO_(3)^(-)to nh_(3).In this study,Fe-doped Co_(3)O_(4) nanowire strutted three-dimensional(3D)pinewood-derived carbon(Fe-Co_(3)O_(4)/PC)is proposed as a high-efficiency nO_(3)^(-)RR electrocatalyst for nh_(3) *** within 0.1 M naOh containing nO_(3)^(-),Fe-Co_(3)O_(4)/PC demonstrates exceptional performance,obtain an impressively large nh_(3) yield of 0.55 mmol·h^(-1)·cm^(-2) and an exceptionally high Faradaic efficiency of 96.5%at-0.5 V,superior to its Co_(3)O_(4)/PC counterpart(0.2 mmol·h^(-1)·cm^(-2),73.3%).Furthermore,the study delves into the reaction mechanism of Fe-Co_(3)O_(4) for nO_(3)^(-)RR through theoretical calculations.

The development of highly efficient and durable oxygen evolution reaction(OER)catalysts for seawater electrolysis is of great importance for ***,an amorphous FeMoO_(4) nanorod array on ni foam is reported as a highly active OER electrocatalyst in alkaline seawater,requiring only overpotentials of 303 and 332 mV to achieve 100 and 300 mA·cm^(-2),***,it shows strong long-term electrochemical durability for at least 50 h.
