A comprehensive methodology that integrates Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation （RUSLE） model and Geographic Information System （GIS） techniques was adopted to determine the soil erosion vulner- ability of a forested mountainous sub-watershed in Kerala, India. The spatial pattern of annual soil erosion rate was obtained by integrating geo-environmental variables in a raster based GIS method. GIS data layers including, rainfall erosivity （R）, soil erodability （K）, slope length and steepness （LS）, cover management （C） and conservation practice （P） factors were computed to determine their effects on average annual soil loss in the area. The resultant map of annual soil erosion shows a maximum soil loss of 17.73 t h-1 y i with a close relation to grass land areas, degraded forests and deciduous forests on the steep side-slopes （with high LS ）. The spatial erosion maps generated with RUSLE method and GIS can serve as effective inputs in deriving strategies for land planning and management in the environmentally sensitive mountainous areas.

Today, many eye diseases jeopardize our everyday lives, such as Diabetic Retinopathy (DR), Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD), and *** is an incurable and unavoidable eye disease that damages the vision ofoptic nerves and quality of life. Classification of Glaucoma has been an active fieldof research for the past ten years. Several approaches for Glaucoma classification areestablished, beginning with conventional segmentation methods and feature-extraction to deep-learning techniques such as Convolution neural networks (Cnn). Incontrast, Cnn classifies the input images directly using tuned parameters of convolution and pooling layers by extracting features. But, the volume of training datasetsdetermines the performance of the Cnn;the model trained with small datasets,overfit issues arise. Cnn has therefore developed with transfer learning. The primary aim of this study is to explore the potential of Efficientnet with transfer learning for the classification of Glaucoma. The performance of the current workcompares with other models, namely VGG16, InceptionV3, and Xception usingpublic datasets such as RIM-OnEV2 & V3, ORIGA, DRISHTI-GS1, HRF, andACRIMA. The dataset has split into training, validation, and testing with the ratioof 70:15:15. The assessment of the test dataset shows that the pre-trained EfficientnetB4 has achieved the highest performance value compared to other models listedabove. The proposed method achieved 99.38% accuracy and also better results forother metrics, such as sensitivity, specificity, precision, F1_score, Kappa score, andArea Under Curve (AUC) compared to other models.

This paper reports a facile environmentally safe green combustion synthesis method of La3+doped CdO nanoparticles(nPs)using different concentrations of Aloe vera(A.V)gel as combustible *** crystallite size obtained using PXRD pattern is found to be 12-22 *** structural analysis was further analysed by Rietveld refinement *** X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)analysis reveals the presence of two electronic states of CdO around 400 and 411 eV attributed to Cd 3 d3/2 and 3 d3/2,*** photoluminescence(PL)studies were carried upon 350 nm excitation *** PL emission spectra are found to have two prominent peaks centered at 410 and 510 nm and are attributed to 5D3→7F1 and 5D1→7F0 transitions,*** Commission International de l’Eclairage(CIE)chromaticity diagram reveals blue-green color *** correlation color temperature(CCT)value is found to be around^9793 *** obtained results suggest that the product is quite useful for cool light emitting diode applications when doping concentration is 2 mol%.

The present paper summarises the synthesis of La3+doped zinc oxide nanoparticles using Aloe vera gel by solution combustion method and the characterization using a powder X-ray diffractometer(PXRD),a transmission electron microscope(TEM),an X-ray photometric spectrometer(XPS),a Raman spectrometer and their applications in optical devices and latent *** pattern confirms the crystallite size of La3+doped ZnO varies from 13 to 20 *** size varies inversely with doping *** properties are found to be the maximum for 2 mol% doping *** spectra extends the use of ZnO:La3+nanoparticles in blue green *** nanoparticles also have superior property as a fluorescent labels in fingerprints.

Steganographic techniques accomplish covert communication by embedding secret messages into innocuous digital images in ways that are imperceptible to the human eye. This paper presents a novel passive steganalysis strategy in which the task is approached as a pattern classification problem. A critical part of the steganalyser design depends on the selection of informative features. This paper is aimed at proposing a novel attack with improved performance indices with the following implications： 1） employing higher order statistics from a curvelet sub-band image representation that offers better discrimination ability for detecting stego anomalies in images, as compared to other conventional wavelet transforms; 2） increasing the sensitivity and specificity of the system by the feature reduction phase; 3） realizing the system using an efficient classification engine, a neuro-C4.5 classifier, which provides better classification rate. An extensive experimental evaluation on a database containing 5600 clean and stego images shows that the proposed scheme is a state-of-the-art steganalyser that outperforms other previous steganalytic methods.

Molecular characterization of DnaJ 5 homologs in silkworm Bombyx mori and its expression during egg diapause

A comparison of the cDnA sequences （1 056 bp） of Bombyx mori DnaJ 5 homolog with B. mori genome revealed that unlike in other Hsps, it has an intron of 234 bp. The DnaJ 5 homolog contains 351 amino acids, of which 70 contain the conserved DnaJ domain at the n-terminal end. This homolog orB. mori has all desirable functional domains similar to other insects, and the 13 different DnaJ homologs identified in B. mori genome were distributed on different chromosomes. The expressed sequence tag database analysis of Hsp40 gene expression revealed higher expression in wing disc followed by diapause-induced eggs. Microarray analysis revealed higher expression of DnaJ 5 homolog at 18th h after oviposition in diapause-induced eggs. Further validation of DnaJ 5 expression through qPCR in diapause-induced and nondiapause eggs at different time intervals revealed higher expression in diapause eggs at 18 and 24 h after oviposition, which coincided with the expression of Hsp70 as the Hsp 40 is its co-chaperone. This study thus provides an outline of the genome organization of lisp40 gene, and its role in egg diapause induction in B. mori.

We evaluate the monogamy inequality for symmetric, non-symmetric pure states of importance in terms of squared concurrence, squared entanglement of formation, squared negativity of partial transpose and compare the corresponding tangles. We show that though concurrence and concurrence tangle are zero for two special classes of mixed entangled states, both negativity tangle and entanglement of formation（EOF） tangle turn out to be non-zero. A comparison of different tangles is carried out in each case and it is shown that while the concurrence tangle captures the genuine multiqubit entanglement in n-qubit pure states with n distinct spinors（containing GHZ and superposition of W-, obverse W states）either negativity tangle or EOF tangle is to be used as a better measure of entanglement in the W-class of states with two distinct spinors and in the special classes of mixed multiqubit states.

Using Majorana representation of symmetric n-qubit pure states, we have examined the monogamous nature of the family of states with two-distinct spinors, the W class of states. We have evaluated the n-concurrence tangle and showed that all the states in this family have vanishing concurrence tangle. The negativity tangle for the W class of states is shown to be non-zero, illustrating the fact that the concurrence tangle is always lesser than or equal to the negativity tangle in a pure n-qubit state.

Monolayer and bilayer coatings of TiAln, AlCrn, and AlCrn/TiAln were deposited onto tungsten carbide inserts using the plasma enhanced physical vapor deposition process. The microstructures of the coatings were characterized using scanning electron microscopy （SEM） and atomic force microscopy （AFM）. The SEM micrographs revealed that the Alrn and AlCrn/TiAln coatings were uniform and highly dense and contained only a limited number of microvoids. The TiAIn coating was non-uniform and highly porous and contained more micro droplets. The hardness and scratch resistance of the specimens were measured using a nanoindentation tester and scratch tester, respectively. Different phases formed in the coatings were analyzed by X-ray diffraction （XRD）. The AlCrn/TiAln coating exhibited a higher hardness （32.75 GPa）, a higher Young＇s modulus （561.97 GPa）, and superior scratch resistance （Lcn = 46 n） compared to conventional coatings such as TiAln, A1Crn, and Tin.
