BACKGROUnD With less than 90 reported cases to date,stercoral perforation of the colon is a rare *** ulceration is thought to occur due to ischemic pressure necrosis of the bowel wall,which is caused by the presence of a stercoraceous *** underscore this urgent surgical situation concerning clinical presentation,surgical treatment,and results,we present the case of a 66-year-old man with a stercoral *** SUMMARY A 66-year-old man with a history of hypertension,hyperlipidemia,and gout presented at the emergency department with lower abdominal pain and a low-grade fever lasting for a few *** computed tomography indicated a suspected bezoar(approximately 7.6 cm)in the dilated cecum,accompanied by pericolic fat stranding,mild proximal dilatation of the ileum,pneumoperitoneum,and minimal ***,feculent peritonitis with isolated cecal perforation were ***,a right hemicolectomy with peritoneal lavage was performed.A histopathological examination supported the intraoperative *** In stercoral perforations,a diagnosis should be diligently pursued,especially in older adults,and prompt surgical intervention should be implemented.

BACKGROUnD Appendiceal mucinous neoplasms(AMns),although not classified as rare,are relatively uncommon tumors most often discovered incidentally during colorectal *** identification of AMns is difficult due to non-specific sym-ptoms,overlapping tumor markers with other conditions,and the potential for *** underscores the urgent need for precision in diagnosis to pre-vent severe *** SUMMARY This case report describes the unexpected discovery and treatment of a low-grade AMn(LAMn)in a 74-year-old man undergoing laparoscopic hemicolectomy for transverse colon adenocarcinoma(AC).Preoperatively,non-specific gastroin-testinal symptoms and elevated tumor markers masked the presence of *** tumor,presumed to be an AMn peritoneal cyst intraoperatively,was con-firmed as LAMn through histopathological *** neoplasm exhibited mucin accumulation and a distinct immunohistochemical profile:Positive for Ho-meobox protein CDX-2,Cytokeratin 20,special AT-rich sequence-binding protein 2,and Mucin 2 but negative for cytokeratin 7 and Paired box gene *** profile aids in distinguishing appendiceal and ovarian mucinous *** recovery was uncomplicated,and the patient initiated adjuvant chemotherapy for the colon *** This case highlights the diagnostic complexity of AMns,emphasizing the need for vigilant identification to avert potential complications,such as pseudomyxoma peritonei.

A robust vector tracking loop structure based on potential bias analysis

This paper proposes a robust vector tracking loop structure based on potential bias analysis. The influence of four kinds of biases on the existing two implementations of Vector Tracking Loops(VTLs) is illustrated by theoretical analysis and numerical simulations, and the following findings are obtained. Firstly, the initial user state bias leads to steady navigation solution bias in the relative VTL, while new measurements can eliminate it in the absolute VTL. Secondly, the initial code phase bias is transferred to the following navigation solutions in the relative VTL, while new measurements can eliminate it in the absolute VTL. Thirdly, the user state bias induced by erroneous navigation solution of VTLs can be eliminated by both of the two VTLs. Fourthly,the multipath/nLOS likely affects the two VTLs, and the induced tracking bias in the duration of the multipath/nLOS would decrease the performance of VTLs. Based on the above analysis,a robust VTL structure is proposed, where the absolute VTL is selected for its robustness to the two kinds of initialization biases;meanwhile, the instant bias detection and correction method is used to improve the performance of VTLs in the duration of the multipath/nLOS. numerical simulations and experimental results verify the effectiveness of the proposed robust VTL structure.

BACKGROUnD Rectocutaneous fistulae are *** infection originates within the anal glands and subsequently extends into adjacent regions,ultimately resulting in fistula *** angiofibroma(CAF),also known as an angiomy ofibroblastoma-like tumor,is a rare benign soft tissue neoplasm predominantly observed in the scrotum,perineum,and inguinal area in males and in the vulva in *** describe the first documented case CAF that developed within a rectocutaneous fistula and manifested as a perineal *** SUMMARY In the outpatient setting,a 52-year-old male patient presented with a 2-year history of a growing perineal mass,accompanied by throbbing pain and minor scrotal *** examination revealed a soft,well-defined,non-tender mass at the left buttock that extended towards the perineum,without a visible *** initial assessment identified a soft tissue tumor,and the laboratory data were within normal *** and pelvic computed tomography(CT)revealed swelling of the abscess cavity that was linked to a rectal cutaneous fistula,with a track-like lesion measuring 6 cm×0.7 cm in the left perineal region and attached to the left *** examination found no significant inner orifices.A left medial gluteal incision revealed a thick-walled mass,which was excised along with the extending tract,and curettage was *** examination confirmed CAF *** patient achieved total resolution during follow-up assessments and did not require additional *** CT imaging supports perineal lesion diagnosis and *** angiofibromas,even with a cutaneous fistula,can be excised transperineally.

A study of the inelastic scattering of neutrons with an energy of 14.1 MeV on the nuclei of oxygen,phosphorus,and sulfur was performed at the tanGRA facility at JInR(Dubna).The experiment aimed to refine existing data and obtain new data on the yields and angular distributions ofγ-quanta emitted by the studied nuclei due to neutron-induced nuclear reactions using the tagged neutron *** types of detector systems were used to registerγ-***γ-ray yields were measured using a high-purity germanium(HPGe)*** angular distributions ofγ-rays were obtained using a system of 18 scintillation detectors based on bismuth germanite Bi_(4)Ge_(3)O_(12)(BGO)located around the *** performed experiments measured the yields of two transitions for the reaction of tagged neutrons with 16O,nine transitions for the reaction with ^(31)P,and nine transitions for the reaction with ^(32)S for the first *** angular anisotropy of theγ-radiation accompanying the inelastic scattering of neutrons with an energy of 14.1 MeV on ^(31)P nuclei was also measured for the first time.

Assessment of large-scale multiple forest disturbance susceptibilities with AutoML framework: an Izmir Regional Forest Directorate case

Disturbances such as forest fires,intense winds,and insect damage exert strong impacts on forest ecosystems by shaping their structure and growth dynamics,with contributions from climate ***,there is a need for reliable and operational methods to monitor and map these disturbances for the development of suitable management *** susceptibility assessment using machine learning methods has increased,most studies have focused on a single ***,there has been limited exploration of the use of“Automated Machine Learning(AutoML)”in the *** this study,susceptibility assessment for multiple forest disturbances(fires,insect damage,and wind damage)was conducted using the PyCaret AutoML framework in the Izmir Regional Forest Directorate(RFD)in *** AutoML framework compared 14 machine learning algorithms and ranked the best models based on AUC(area under the curve)*** extra tree classifier(ET)algorithm was selected for modeling the susceptibility of each disturbance due to its good performance(AUC values>0.98).The study evaluated susceptibilities for both individual and multiple disturbances,creating a total of four susceptibility maps using fifteen driving factors in the *** to the results,82.5%of forested areas in the Izmir RFD are susceptible to multiple disturbances at high and very high ***,a potential forest disturbances map was created,revealing that 15.6%of forested areas in the Izmir RFD may experience no damage from the disturbances considered,while 54.2%could face damage from all three *** SHAP(Shapley Additive exPlanations)methodology was applied to evaluate the importance of features on prediction and the nonlinear relationship between explanatory features and susceptibility to disturbance.

Strong gravitational lensing of blazar gamma-radiation and intergalactic magnetic fields

The influence of intergalactic magnetic fields on the strong gravitational lensing of blazar secondary gamma radiation is ***,two cases of strong gravitational lensing of blazar gamma-radiation are known,where radiation is deflected by galaxies on the line of sight between the blazars and *** magnetic field can affect the movements of electron-positron pairs generated by primary radiation,thereby changing the directions of secondary gamma *** modifies the equation of the gravitational lens and leads to the dependence of the observed signal in the secondary gamma radiation on the energy of photons and magnetic ***,it is possible,in principle,to estimate the intergalactic magnetic fields from the time delay of signals,from the angular position of images(for future high-resolution gamma-ray telescopes)or from the shape of the observed energy *** method is demonstrated by the example of the blazar B0218+*** this case,however,it is not possible to obtain useful constraints due to the large distances to the blazar and lens *** result is only a lower limit on the magnetic field B>2×10^(−17)G,which is weaker than other existing ***,future discoveries of lensed blazars may provide more favorable opportunities for measuring the magnetic fields,especially with the help of a new generation of gamma-ray telescopes such as e-ASTROGAM,GECAM,and SVOM as well as future gamma-ray telescopes with a high angular resolution,∼0.1″.
