Middle to Late jurassic belemnites from the Spiti and Zanskar valleys in the Indian Himalayas were used for stable isotope(δ^(13)c, δ^(18)O) and element(Mg/ca, Sr/ca) analyses. Although the Himalayan orogeny deformed and altered a large portion of the collected fossils, cathodoluminescence and scanning electron microscopy in combination with analyses of iron and manganese contents allowed the identification of belemnites believed to still retain their original chemical composition. Results indicate a long-term temperature decrease from the Middle callovian–Oxfordian to the Tithonian, which is proposed to have been caused by a concomitant drift of eastern Gondwana into higher palaeolatitudes. Reconstructed absolute temperatures depend on the used equation and assumed δ^(18)O value of seawater, but most likely varied between 17.6 ℃ to 27.6℃ in the Kimmeridgian and Tithonian with average values between 22 ℃ to 24 ℃. This way, temperatures were similar to slightly warmer than today at comparable latitudes. The reconstruction of absolute temperatures for the Middle callovian–Oxfordian was hindered by a larger number of poorly preserved belemnites representing this time interval.

Oil palm or Elaesis guineensis is originated from West *** was first introduced into Malaya in 1870 and was known as an ornamental ***,about 4.50 million hectares of land in Malaysia is under oil palm cultivation;producing 17.73 million tons of palm oil and 2.13 tons of palm kernel *** is one the largest producers and exporters of palm oil in the world,accounting for 11% of the world’s oils and fats production and 27% of export trade of oils and fats（Anon,2009）.In Malaysia,the palm oil industry generates huge amounts of residues and wastes such as fruit fibers,shell,empty fruit bunches,fronds,trunks and palm oil mill *** palm trunk（OPT） is among the most abundant biomass with high potential for energy and material source because oil palm trees are felled and replanted approximately every 25 *** gasification of OPT was carried out using downdraft fixed-bed gasifier to determine its suitability as a gasification feedstock in *** experimental work was carried out under atmospheric pressure（1atm）,constant temperature（9000c） and constant reaction time（60min）.The effects of different gasifying agent and steam to carbon ratio（S/c） on syngas production were *** syngas ratio was increased when steam（1.40） was applied as gasifying agent compare to air（1.33） due to water-gas shift reaction was occurred between carbon and steam to produce more *** value of nitrogen（n2） content in producer gas was reduced almost 90% by replace with carbon dioxide（cO2） as ***2 removal gave zero effect to greenhouse gasses due to recycling process of cO2 for natural growth process.

Background: We report an additional case of an extremely uncommon but distinctive histological variant of benign schwannoma, which was previously designated as neuroblastoma-like schwannoma by Goldblum et al. Methods: A 29-year-old woman referred to a 6-year-history of an atrofic macule. Its clinical appearance was similar to that of an anetoderma. Results: A cutaneous biopsy showed findings consistent with a neuroblastoma-like schwannoma with the following peculiar features: (i) Being fully composed of rosette-like structures. (ii) Association to an anetoderma. conclusions: Because neither the histological pattern nor the type of tumor allows a differential diagnosis with neuroblastoma,we propose the descriptive term of rosetoid schwannoma. And to our knowledge, this will be the first case reported of rosetoid schwannoma associated to anetoderma.

目的探讨智能全闭环控制通气模式在心脏术后患者中应用的有效性。方法选取2014年4～10月非急诊心脏手术术后需要机械通气的患者，分别接受Intellivent-ASV和ASV通气模式。记录两组入IcU时（TO）、1h末（T1）、2h末（T2）、SBT前（T3）的呼吸机设置参数，呼吸机监测（潮气量、肺顺应性、通气支持程度等）等指标；观察比较两组TO，T1，T2，T3、停用呼吸机后1K（T4）的血气分析、血流动力学等指标进行统计。结果本研究共纳入患者82例，Intellivent-ASV组患者43例（52．4％），ASV组患者39例（47．6％）。①呼吸机参数设置：两组在吸氧浓度（Fi02）、呼气末正压（PEEP）、MinVol后期设置上差异有统计学意义（P〈0．05），且在Intellivent-AsV组内差异均有统计学意义（P〈0．05）。②血气分析指标：两组T1点PacO。差异有统计学意义。Intellivent-ASV组组内PaO2／Fi02差异有统计学意义。③Intellivent-AsV组内PetcO2与PacO2之间呈正相关（R2=0．607，P〈0．05）。结论Intellivent-ASV通气模式在成人择期心脏术后患者中使用具有安全性。应用PetcO2可以连续、及时的监测呼吸指标变化，为患者提供有效的通气支持。

Improvement of nutritional and organoleptic quality of fruits is a key goal in current strawberry breeding *** ratio of sugars to acids is a determinant factor contributing to fruit liking,although different sugars and acids contribute in varying degrees to this complex trait.A segregating F1 population of 95 individuals,previously characterized for several fruit quality characters,was used to map during 2 years quantitative trait loci(QTL)for 50 primary metabolites,L-ascorbic acid(L-AA)and other related traits such as soluble solid content(SSc),titratable acidity(TA),and pH.A total of 133 mQTL were detected above the established thresholds for 44 *** 12.9%of QTL were detected in the 2 years,suggesting a large environmental influence on primary metabolite *** objective of this study was the identification of key metabolites that were associated to the overall variation in SSc and *** it was observed in previous studies,a number of QTL controlling several metabolites and traits were co-located in homoeology group V(HG V).mQTL controlling a large variance in raffinose,sucrose,succinic acid,and L-AA were detected in approximate the same chromosomal regions of different homoeologous linkage groups belonging to HG *** genes for selected mQTL are proposed based on their co-localization,on the predicted function,and their differential gene expression among contrasting F1 progeny ***-seq analysis from progeny lines contrasting in L-AA content detected 826 differentially expressed genes and identified Mannose-6-phosphate isomerase,FaM6PI1,as a candidate gene contributing to natural variation in ascorbic acid in strawberry fruit.

AIM: To characterize APc gene mutations and correlate them with patient phenotypes in individuals diagnosed with familial adenomatous polyposis(FAP) in northern Brazil. METHODS: A total of 15 individuals diagnosed with FAP from 5 different families from the north of Brazil were analyzed in this study. In addition to patients with histopathological diagnosis of FAP,family members who had not developed the disease were also tested in order to identify mutations and for possible genetic counseling. All analyzed patients or their guardians signed a consent form approved by the Research Ethics committee of the jo?o de Barros Barreto University Hospital(Belem,Brazil). DnA extracted from the peripheral blood of a member of each of the affected families was subjected to direct sequencing. The proband of each family was sequenced to identify germline mutations using the Ion Torrent platform. To validate the detected mutations,Sanger sequencing was also performed. The samples from all patients were also tested for the identification of mutations by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction using the amplification refractory mutation system. RESULTS: Through interviews with relatives and a search of medical records,it was possible to construct genograms for three of the five families included in the study. All 15 patients from the five families with FAP exhibited mutations in the APc gene,and all mutations were detected in exon 15 of the APc gene. In addition to the patients with a histological diagnosis of FAP,family members without disease symptoms showed the mutation in the APc gene. In the present study,we detected two of the three most frequent germline mutations in the literature: the mutation at codon 1309 and the mutation at codon 1061. The presence of c.3956 del c mutation was found in all families from this study,and suggests that this mutation was introduced in the population of the State of Pará through ancestor immigration(i.e.,a de novo mutation that arose
