Biogas production generates digested slurry as a byproduct. It can be used as a fertilizer especially after its conversion into digested liquid. A pot based study was conducted in order to evaluate the effect of the application of digested liquid on CH4 and n2O flux, and plant biomass in paddy. Analysis revealed that digested liquid treated soils released more CH4 compared to ammonium sulphate and the control. Ammonium sulphate treated soil emitted the highest n20 whereas digested liquid application decreased its emission significantly. Further, the cumulative emission over 101 d of the experiment was found to be higher for CHa （16.9 to 29.9 g m^-2） compared to n20 （-49.3 to 18.9 mg m^-2） for all treatments. Digested liquid application had positive impact on plant variables such as panicle number and weight of panicles. This study suggests that digested liquid application significantly decrease n20 emission and increase CH4 emission possibly due to affecting the availability of organic C in the soil to microbial activity for methanogenesis. Another possibility for enhancing CH4 emission by following biogas digested liquid could be attributed to the increase in plant biomass.

Conjunction analysis is the study of possible collisions between objects in *** conjunction analysis algorithms are geared towards computing the collision probability between any two resident space ***,there are few heuristic methods available to select which objects should be considered for a detailed collision analysis.A simple all-on-all collision analysis results in an O(n2)procedure,which quickly becomes intractable for large *** main objective of this research work is to preemptively determine which catalogued objects should be considered for a more detailed conjunction analysis,significantly reducing the number of object pairs to be *** heart of the approach lies in the efficient kd-tree *** has been found that this binary search method significantly reduces computational cost to a tractable complexity of O(n logn).The conventional tree-based search is modified slightly by accounting for probabilistic nearest neighbors via the Hellinger ***,the method is extended to account for non-Gaussian errors via the inclusion of Gaussian Mixture *** has been found that the reduced computational complexity of the kd-tree is maintained,while the applicability of the method is extended to uncertain cases.

We monitored the prevalence of endoparasitic infections of rodents in Punjab State, India, between January 2004and December 2005. Three species of wild rodents, namely the house rat, Rattus rattus (n = 42), the lesserbandicoot rat, Bandicota bengalensis (n = 34) and the Indian gerbil, Tatera indica (n = 15), were live-captured fromhouses and crop fields. Examination of various organs revealed that the highest rates of endoparasitic infectionoccurred in R. rattus (40.5%), followed by B. bengalensis (35.3 %) and then T. indica (20.0%), with an overallinfection rate of 35.2%. All three rodent species were found naturally infected with one or more species ofhelminths. Metacestodes (1–6) of Cysticercus fasciolaris (larvae of Taenia taeniaeformis) were found in all threerodent species (in the liver). In one male T. indica, numerous robust T. taeniaeformis metacestodes were found inoval sacs attached to the mesentery and the abdominal wall, an unusual site. The cauda epididymal fluid of thesame gerbil was also found to be infected with a very rare species of strongylid nematode, which could not beidentified to genus or species level. It is possible that this nematode is transmitted sexually and thus may affect thereproductive potential of gerbils. This appears to be the first report of this phenomenon. In one B. bengalensisindividual, the intestine was found to be obstructed with an acanthocephalan, Moniliformis moniliformis, withconcurrent infection with C. fasciolaris in the form of multiple cysts in the liver. Although no natural protozoaninfection was found in these field rodents, experimental Trypanosoma evansi infection has been established in allthree species with high pathogenicity, and the possibility of sexual transmission was supported by the presence of *** in the cauda epididymal fluid of male rats.

Mature and healthy male house rats,Rattus rattus(n=160)were fed on bait(cracked wheat:powdered sugar,98:2)containing different concentrations of triptolide(0.1,0.05,0.025 and 0%)for 7 and 14 days in no-choice and bi-choice feeding tests in the *** objective of the study was to record the antifertility affects of triptolide after 30 and 60 days of termination of *** revealed no significant effect of triptolide treatment on weights of testis,epididymis,seminal vesicles and prostate gland of ***,sperm motility,live sperm count,sperm density and sperm morphology in the cauda epididymal fluid were found to differ significantly(P≤0.05)between untreated and treated groups of *** major effect of triptolide on sperm morphology was in the form of sperm head tail separation,which was up to 56.0%in rats treated for 14 days in no-choice and autopsied after 30 days.A significant effect(P≤0.05)of triptolide treatment was observed on the histomorphology of the testis,which included a dose-dependent decrease in diameter of seminiferous tubules,thickness of germinal epithelium and numbers of various spermatogenic *** associations in the seminiferous epithelial cycle were poorly developed in rats ingesting medium(4.7-5.1 mg/100 g bw)and high doses(6.9-7.2 mg/100 g bw)of triptolide than rats ingesting low doses(1.8-2.3 mg/100 g bw)and untreated *** cell stages affected had not recovered fully within the 60 day period following triptolide *** present study suggests the potential of triptolide in reproductive management of Rattus rattus.

AIM: To study the chemical constituents of the stem part of Ichnocarpus frutescens. METHODS: The ethanolic extract of Ichnocarpus frutescens was used for the isolation of chemical constituents with the help of silica gel G and Sephadex column chromatography and their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectral data and chemical methods. RESULTS: Five compounds were isolated and identified as n-butyl oleate (1), n-octyl tetracontane (2), tetratriacontadiene (3), n-nonadecanyl benzoate (4), and benzocosanyl arachidate (5). COnCLUSIOn: Compound 5 is new; and compounds 1-4 are isolated from genus Ichnocarpus frutescens for the first time.

Objective：Metaphyseal-diaphyseal fractures of the distal radius are a major treatment dilemma and orthopaedic surgeons have to pay due consideration to restoration of anatomy of distal radius together with rotation of the radial shaft and maintenance of radial bow and interosseous *** performed this study to evaluate the clinic-radiological outcome of metaphyseal-diaphyseal fractures of the distal radius treated with long volar locking ***：This prospective study involved 27 patients （22 males and 5 females） with metaphyseal-diaphyseal fracture of the distal *** mean age was （30.12±11.48） years （range 19-52 years） and the follow-up was 26.8 months （range 22-34 months）.All patients underwent open reduction and internal fixation with a long volar locking *** to AO/OTA classification,there were 7 type A3,13 type C2 and 7 type C3 *** assessment was done based on the disabilities of the arm,shoulder and hand （DASH） *** evaluation was done by measuring grip strength and range of motion around the wrist and the radiological determinants included radial angle,radial length,volar angle and ulnar *** final assessment was done according to Gartland and Werley scoring ***：Postoperative radiological parameters were well maintained throughout the trial,and there was significant improvement in the functional parameters from 6 weeks to final *** average DASH scores improved from 37.5 at 6 weeks to 4.2 at final *** assessment using Gartland and Werley scoring system revealed 66.67%（n=l8） excellent and 33.33% （n=9） good *** was one case of superficial infection which responded to antibiotics and another carpel tunnel syndrome which was managed ***：Volar locking plate fixation for metaphyseal-diaphyseal fractures of distal radius is associated with excellent to good functional outcome,early rehabilitation and minimal complications.

High platelet reactivity (HPR) and suboptimal response to dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) may explain high recurrent rates of ischemic events in Type II diabetes mellitus (DM) patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). The aim of this study was to examine the effect of clopidogrel on platelet reactivity, and thrombogenecity between DM and non-DM PCI-treated patients (n = 138). Patients were categorized according to clopidogrel treatment and DM status. Patients received a maintenance-dose clopidogrel of 75 mg/d (C75 group, n = 72) or a 600 mg clopidogrel loading-dose in clopidogrel na?ve patients (C600 group, n = 66). Platelet function was assessed by thrombelastography, flow cytometry, VerifynowTM aspirin assay and light transmittance aggregometry (LTA). Aspirin response was similar between treatments and DM status. In the C75 group, DM patients had higher 5 and 20 μM ADP-, 2 μg/ml collagen-induced LTA;and p-selectin expression compared to non-DM patients (p ≤ 0.05 for all). DM patients in the C600 group had higher 5 and 20 μM ADP-induced LTA post dosing (p p 12 receptor antagonists.

A search for the rare decays W^(+)→D_(s)^(+)γ and Z→D0γis performed using proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at a centre-of-mass energy of 13TeV,corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.0fb−*** significant signal is observed for either decay mode and upper limits on their branching fractions are set using W^(+)→D_(s)^(+)γ and Z→μ+μ−decays as normalization *** upper limits are 6.5×10^(−4) and 2.1×10^(−3) at 95% confidence level for the W^(+)→D_(s)^(+)γ and Z→D^(0)γ decay modes,*** is the first reported search for the Z→D^(0)γ decay,while the upper limit on the W+→D+sγbranching fraction improves upon the previous best limit.
