This study was conducted to investigate the properties of Pr3+-Dy3+doped Zn2Y-type hexaferrite for potential technological applications.X-ray diffraction（XRD）,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy（FTIR） and field-emission scanning electron microscopy（FESEM） were used to analyze structural *** crystallite size in the synthesized samples varies between 57.54 and 68.57 *** vibrational bands at 400 and 600 cm-1,common to all hexaferrites,were confirmed through *** FESEM analysis reveals an agglomeration of magnetic grains and a decrease in the average grain size from 1.24 to1.06 μ*** M-H loops show that,with x values of 0.0,0.1,and 0.2,the saturation magnetization is determined to be 34.76,34.23,and 32.52 emu/g,*** corresponding coercivity values are21.24,30.39,and 33.99 ***-visible spectroscopy using Tauc theory reveals an increase in the optical band gap from 2.32 to 2.50 eV,indicating a tunable energy band structure by incorporating Pr3+-Dy3+*** dielectric constant increases,whereas AC conductivity decreases with increased Pr3+-Dy3+*** obtained results suggest the potential suitability of these materials for various technological applications.

nitrate contamination of groundwater is a worldwide problem, particularly in agricultural countries. Exposure to high levels of nitrates in groundwater can have adverse effects on the health of residents who use groundwater for drinking. This study aims to assess the health risk associated with the ingestion of nitrates in well water in the town of M’bahiakro. Health risk maps were created on the basis of hazard quotients (HQ) using the US Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) health risk assessment model. The results indicate that residents of the Koko, Dougouba and Baoulekro neighbourhoods, whatever their age, are potentially exposed to the toxic effects of nO3−during their daily intake of nitrate-contaminated well water, with reference to hazard quotients (HQ) greater than 1. nitrate concentrations in the groundwater should therefore be controlled in order to prevent their harmful effects on the health of the population and guarantee its use in rice-growing activities in M’Bahiakro.

当外界扰动频率接近块系岩体的固有频率时,会出现准共振现象。这一现象导致岩块间的弱夹层应变急剧变化,从而加快弱夹层的动态损伤断裂。为了研究块系岩体准共振导致岩块间弱夹层的动态拉压损伤断裂规律,基于块系岩体模型,分析准共振状态下弱夹层的变形特征。结合岩石动态损伤断裂准则,对准共振状态下弱夹层的动态损伤断裂进行理论计算分析,进而研究动态破坏规律。通过数值模拟揭示了准共振状态下块系岩体中弱夹层的损伤演化特征。结果表明:当块系岩体发生准共振现象时,岩块间的相对位移急剧增加,使得弱夹层的应变和损伤程度明显增大;弱夹层的损伤程度在准共振频率下最高,同时受外部扰动力和弱夹层的刚度、黏性、厚度及岩块质量等系统参数的影响;块系岩体发生准共振时断裂应力增大,但从断裂到完全破坏的时间明显缩短,即残余承载能力大幅下降。该研究对认识块系岩体的动态断裂具有一定的参考价值。

The extensive use of polymeric materials in single-use packaging has driven the need to develop biodegradable *** study investigates the incorporation of graphene oxide(GO)and Moringa oleifera seed oil(MOSO)into a gelatin matrix to create polymer films and evaluate their potential as active packaging *** properties of these films were evaluated using structural,thermal,mechanical,optical,and physicochemical methods to determine their suitability for food packaging *** results showed that GO and MOSO were homogeneously dispersed in the gelatin matrix,forming colloidal particles(around 5μm in diameter).The addition of GO increased opacity by approximately 20 times the base value while MOSO affected light transmittance without impacting *** properties were affected differently,GO acted as a crosslinking agent reducing elongation and increasing tensile strength at break,on the other hand MOSO acted as a plasticizer,making films more plastic increasing elongation a 30%.These effects counteracted each other,and similar behavior was recorded in differential scanning *** films exhibited an improved water vapor resistance,which is crucial for food *** findings indicate that the incorporation of GO and MOSO into a gelatin matrix may produce biodegradable polymer films with enhanced properties,suitable for active packaging in the food industry.

This article comments on the work by Soresi and *** authors have stated that one of the most novel and promising treatments for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease(MASLD)is the use of glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor agonists,especially when used in combination ***,despite their notable efficacy,these drugs were not initially designed to target MASLD *** a groundbreaking development,the Food and Drug Administration has recently approved resmetirom,the first treatment specifically aimed at reducing liver fibrosis in metabolic-associated ***,an orally administered,liver-directed thyroid hormone beta-selective agonist,acts directly on intrahepatic pathways,enhancing its therapeutic potential and marking the beginning of a new era in the treatment of ***,the integration of lifestyle modifications into liver disease management is an essential component that should be considered and *** incorporating dietary changes and regular physical exercise into treatment,patients may achieve improved outcomes,reducing the need for pharmacological interventions and/or improving treatment *** a complement to medical therapies,lifestyle factors should not be overlooked in the broader strategy for managing MASLD.

Influence of Fermentation and Drying Practices on the Ochratoxin A Content of Cocoa Beans from the Main Production Areas in Côte d’Ivoire

Côte d’Ivoire has been the world’s leading producer of cocoa beans for several decades. Apart from this production performance, the quality of the beans, which are mainly exported to the major chocolate-making countries, presents a quality problem to the point of suffering a discount on the international market. One of these quality problems is the content of ochratoxin A, a mycotoxin produced by fungi. Finally, to verify the level of contamination in beans produced in Côte d’Ivoire, a study was carried out. It consisted of collecting information on fermentation and drying times (The two major post-harvest operations) and collecting beans, which were analyzed by electrophoresis using the High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) method. The results obtained show ochratoxin A contents of between 0.05 µg/kg and 0.17 µg/kg. The general level of contamination is therefore very low and below the tolerable limit which is 2 µg/kg. In addition, the correlative study between the fermentation and drying times of the beans revealed no significant influence (p n of these operations on the level of ochratoxin A contamination. Major contamination can occur after post-harvest activities carried out by producers. This is certainly due to the development of fungi responsible for the production of ochratoxin A during the period of storage and marketing of cocoa beans in conditions of high humidity in storage enclosures. Producers need to be made more aware of the need to ensure that cocoa beans are properly dried and stored in dry areas to avoid moisture build-up, which is a source of mould growth and ochratoxin A production.

A Comparative Study of the Technological Characteristics of Cotton Fibers from Two Types of Gins in Côte d’Ivoire

Production of this crop is experiencing significant challenges, resulting in a decline in seed and fiber quality. To address this challenge, generations of high-performance cotton plants of the Gossypium hirsutum L. species have been developed and are currently being commercialized. This study evaluated the impact of gin types on the agro-industrial quality of cotton in Côte d’Ivoire. To this end, cotton from the G3, R1, and R2 generations was harvested, sampled, and ginned on machines with 10 and 170 saws in the localities of Ouangolodougou, Ferkessédougou, Korhogo, M’Bengué, Boundiali, Séguéla, and Mankono, as well as at the Centre national de Recherche Agronomique CnRA) in Bouaké. The results demonstrated that cotton fibers obtained from ginning on 10-saw machines exhibited superior quality compared to those from 170-saw machines. Fiber length, fiber length uniformity, and short fiber rate exhibited the highest deviations according to gin type. The use of 170-saw gins resulted in a notable decline in quality. Conversely, micronaire index, fiber tenacity and elongation, and reflectance remained consistent across machine types. These results will enable us to more effectively regulate and advise cotton-processing factories, which primarily utilize 170-saw gins to enhance agro-industrial quality in Côte d’Ivoire. Furthermore, these results will assist breeders in incorporating them into their processes to enhance the quality of the varieties they offer to farmers.
