In this paper,we analyzed the physical characteristics of the ternary alloys RE_(2)Rh_(3)Ge(RE=Pr and sm)using the first principles calculation based on functional density theory integrated in the Wien2k *** calculated formation energies of Pr_(2)Rh_(3)Ge and sm_(2)Rh_(3)Ge are−5.3827 and−5.2782 eV/atom,respectively,showing that these alloys may exist *** results of the band structure and density of states indicate that all of the compounds tested are magnetic metals,and their magnetism is mostly related to the contribution of Pr and sm *** total magnetic moments of Pr_(2)Rh_(3)Ge and sm_(2)Rh_(3)Ge are 4.07245 and 11.16161μB/f.u,*** parameters such as heat capacity at constant pressure,entropy,Debye temperature,lattice volume,compressibility coefficients,and Grüneisen parameter alloys were calculated using the Gibbs algorithm and studied in depth over a large temperature range of 0-900 *** Debye temperature increases with increasing pressure and decreases with decreasing ***,the Debye temperatures calculated at p=0 GPa and T=300 K are equal to be 342 and 322 K for Pr_(2)Rh_(3)Ge and sm_(2)Rh_(3)Ge,*** optical characteristics such as the real and imaginary portions of the dielectric function,the absorption coefficient,the energy-loss function,and the refractive index were investigated and discussed in more depth.

Objective:To investigate Petroselinum crispum Latifolum(parsley) for treating stomach and intestinal disorders in ***:An 80%ethanol extract was prepared from parsley seeds, and its antispasmodic activity assessed by measuring contractions of isolated ilea induced by 60 mM potassium chloride(KG).A piece of ileum from an adult male Wistar rat was dissected and mounted in an organ bath containing Tyrode’s solution,and ileum contractions were recorded by an isotonic transducer under one gram resting *** effect of parsley extract was measured in the presence of two antagonists’ of a - and(***:These experiments showed that parsley extract inhibited the response to 60 mM KC1 in a concentration-dependent manner(Pn=7).The spasmolytic effect of parsley extract was unaffected by 1μM phentolamine or 1μM ***:This study shows that parsley seed extract is a relaxant of isolated rat ileum and the relaxation effect of extract does not involved adrenergic receptors.

We report on the novel heterometallic quaternary selenide EuCeCuSe3,the fabrication of which has been a challenge until this *** structure of the reported selenide was elucidated from the powder X-ray diffraction data,which revealed the formation of EuCeCuSe3with excellent yield(96.7%)accompanied with a minor fraction of CeSe2(3.3%),and was best solved in orthorhombic space group Pnma with the BaLaCuS3structural ***,the crystal structure of the title compound completes the row of the heterometallic quaternary selenides EuRECuSe3(RE=La,Pr,nd,sm,Eu,Gd,Tb,Dy,Ho,Er,Tm,Yb,Lu,Y),of which the cerium-based derivative exclusively belongs to the BaLaCuS3structural *** distortion of the CuSe4polyhedron was compared for the whole series of EuRECuSe3compounds using theτ4-descriptor for four coordinated ions,which revealed the highest degree of distortion for the Ce3+-containing selenide,followed by the La3+-based ***,the crystallographic and geometrical parameters of the reported selenide were discussed in comparison to the Ce3+-based sulfides SrCeCuS3and *** initio calculations of the crystal structure,a phonon spectrum and elastic constants for the crystal of EuCeCuSe3were also *** types and wavenumbers of fundame ntal modes were determined and the involvement of ions participating in the phonon modes was *** experimental IR spectrum of the reported selenide was interpreted and found to be in agreement with the calculated *** experimental direct band gap of EuCeCuSe3was measured to be 1.36 eV that is consistent with the concept of its origin due to interband transitions between orbitals emerging mainly from 4f(valence band)and 5d(conduction band)levels of the Eu2+*** dependence of the Young’s modulus on the direction demonstrates the anisotropy of the elastic properties,while the Vickers hardness for EuCeCuSe3was calculated to be 5.2 ***,the title compound is paramagnetic above 4 K.

The angular distributions of 7Li+144sm elastic scattering over the energy range of 21.6–52 MeV are reanalyzed utilizing various interaction *** analysis aims to study the consistency of the implemented potentials in representing the considered data and investigate the cluster nature of the weakly bound 7Li *** will aid in the better understanding the impacts of 7Li breakup on the elastic scattering *** coupling to the breakup channel has a substantial impact on the elastic data and reproduces a repulsive dynamical polarization potential,which drastically diminishes the real potential *** reported impact was simulated by introducing a semi-microscopic repulsive DPP and by implementing the method of continuum discretized coupled *** analysis was also extended to understand the impact of triton transfer on the elastic scattering data.

The polycrystalline sample of a double perovskite, sm2niMnO6 was synthesized by a solid-state reaction route. From the X-ray structural study, it is found that the structure of the material is monoclinic with lattice parameters: a = 4.1750(63) ?, b = 7.6113(63) ?, c = 5.9896(63) ?, and β = 112.70°. These parameters are very close to and consistent with those of such type of materials. The dielectric, impedance, AC conductivity, and electrical modulus properties of the sample were studied in the temperature range of 25–300℃ and the frequency range of 1 kHz–1 MHz. Typical relaxor behavior observed in the dielectric studies was confirmed by Vogel–Fulcher fitting. From the nyquist plots, the temperature dependent contribution of grain and grain boundary effect was confirmed. The non-Debye type of relaxation was found using the complex impedance spectroscopy. The magnetic study revealed that the sample had paramagnetic behavior at room temperature. Magneto-electric(ME) coefficient was obtained by changing DC bias magnetic field. This type of lead-free relaxor ferroelectric compound may be useful for high-temperature applications.

In order to study the thermal stresses at the mushy zone, a three dimensional rheological model [H]-[H\n]-[n\S] including elastic, visco-elastic and visco-plastic elements was established, its algorithm and codes for finite element method were also developed. A FDM/FEM integrated analysis system of thermal stresses was built based on the integration of this procedure with thermal analysis by finite difference method. A steel sample casting with a hot spot was simulated in order to validate this system, and the calculated and experimental results were in good agreement.

Talchir Formation （Permo-Carboniferous） of the Gondwana Supergroup records the Late Paleozoic glaciation in Peninsular India. Talchir sedimentary succession of the Raniganj Basin, Damodar Valley Coalfields, Peninsular India, bears ten facies types grouped under three facies associations, viz., the proglacial conglomerate-sandstone facies association （CS）, the foreshore-shoreface conglomerate-sandstone-mudstone facies association （Csm） and the prodelta-shelf sandstone-mudstone facies association （sm）. Overall facies architecture reflects initial ice-covered terrestrial subgiacial sedimentation, which was subsequently reworked and emplaced subaqueously in front of the ice-grounding line, and finally overlapped by storm-laid prodelta-shelf sediments. Repeated glacial advance-retreats with shifts in the position of the ice-grounding line during phases of climatic amelioration led to multiple deglaciation-related fining-up cycles. Decoupled ice sheet and floating icebergs contributed icerafted debris （IRD） to these sediments. Gradual retreat of the ice sheet, however, restricted the supply of IRD towards top of the succession. Overlap of wave-agitated shoreface-shelf sediments on the glaciogenic sediments indicates widespread marine transgression caused by glacier melting during ice-house to green-house climatic transition, and crustal downsagging related to giacioisostasy. Subsequently, complete disappearance of the ice sheet caused basinal exhumation along with crustal uplift due to isostatic rebound, leading to multiple horst-graben bounded basinal systems, which received post-Talchir coal-bearing Gondwana sediments.

Aims The present study aims(i)to examine if recently reported interspecific shoot-level biomass allocational trade-offs,*** trade-offs between leaf mass(LM)and stem mass(sm)and between leaf size and leaf number,hold intraspecifically and(ii)to explore whether those scaling relationships are independent of shoot type(*** *** shoots).Methods In order to address our questions,we used Fagus sylvatica saplings growing under a broad light range that were sampled in theWestern Carpathians Mountains(Slovakia).Important Findings We found that:(i)intraspecific shoot-level biomass allocational trade-offs differ from those reported interspecifically and that(ii)long and short shoots differ in biomass allocation scaling *** relationships with slopes statistically smaller than 1.0 or higher than-1.0,were found between sm and LM and between mean leafing intensity and individual leaf mass,respectively,in long *** contrast,isometric scaling was found in short *** suggests that leaf mass in short shoots is unaffected by shoot stem mass,in contrast to long *** shoots also had a larger fraction of biomass allocated to *** shoots,as has been observed in other shoot dimorphic species,are specialized,with short shoots specializing in carbon gain and long shoots in space acquisition.A greater shift in LM than in sm among species during speciation shifting from allometric intraspecific relationships to an isometric interspecific scaling relationship between those traits could explain the discrepancies between the outputs of the present intraspecific study and others similar *** study draws attention to the importance of considering shoot types in future studies dealing with allocation rules in species with dimorphic shoots.

A multiscalar and nonrenormalizable B-L extension of the standard model(sm)with S_(4)symmetry which successfully explains the recently observed neutrino oscillation data is *** tiny neutrino masses and their hierarchies are generated via the type-I seesaw *** model reproduces the recent experiments of neutrino mixing angles and Dirac CP violating phase in which the atmospheric angle(θ_(23))and the reactor angle(θ_(13))get the best-fit values while the solar angle(θ_(12))and Dirac CP violating phase(δ)are in 3σrange of the best-fit value for the normal hierarchy(nH).For the inverted hierarchy(IH),θ13 gets the best-ft value andθ_(23)together withδare in the lσrange,whileθ12 is in 3δrange of the best-fit *** effective neutrino masses are pre-dicted to be(m_(ee))=6.81 meV for the nH and(m_(ee))=48.48 meV for the IH,in good agreement with the most re-cent experimental data.

AIM To determine the activities ofpolysaccharide extracts from Flammulina velutipes (Curt. ex Fr. ) Sing (FV), Lentinusedodes (LE) and Agaricus bisporus Sing (AB)on the proliferation of human hepatoma smMC-7721 cells in vitro and on mouse implanted S-180tumors in *** The polysaccharide extracts were isolated from the fruit bodies of FV, LE and AB by the methods of hot-water extraction, Sevag’sremoval of proteins, ethanol precipitation,trypsin digestion and ethanol fractionalprecipitation. Human hepatoma smMC-7721 cells were treated with 50 mg/L Polysaccharide extracts, and the mitosis index, mitochondria activity and cell proliferation were detected at different times in both control and experimental groups. The mice with S-180 implanted tumors were injected with the polysaccharide extracts at 24 mg/ kg body weight for 9 d and the tumorweight was measured on the 15th *** The mitosis index of hepatoma cells in vitro could be significantly decreased by treatment with the polysaccharide extracts fromthe three kinds of edible fungi (P numbers and mitochondria activity of smMC7721 cells treated with polysaccharide extracts were lower than those in control groups (P nhibition rates of polysaccharide extracts against implanted S-180 tumors in mice were 52.8%, 56.6% and 51 .9% respectivelycompared with that in c0ntrol ***0n The POIysaccharide extractsfrom the three kinds of edible fungi could inhibitnot only the Cultured malignant cells in vitfO butalso impIanted Sl80 tum0r i0 vivo.
