A Simplified numerical Study of the Kr/Cl_2 Plasma Chemistry in Dielectric Barrier Discharge

In this paper, the generation of excimers and exciplexe radiation in mixtures of rare gas with halogen by homogeneous dielectric barrier discharge （DBD） is investigated. The typical characteristics of an excilamp based on KrCI＊ exciplexe molecules and the kinetic processes for the formation and the decay of this molecules in the Kr/Cl2 mixture are studied. The computer model developed is based on the Kr/Cl2 mixture chemistry, the equivalent electric circuit and the Boltzmann equations. The importance in the kinetic processes of some species such as the metastable state of Krypton （Kr＊（3P0,2）） and the negative ion of chloride （C1-） is considered. The results illustrate the time variations of charged species （ne, Kr＋, CI-, Cl＋, Cl＋, Kr＋）, excited atoms and molecules （Kr＊（3p0,2）, Kr＊（3P1）, Cl＊, Cl2）, the excimers （Kr, KrCl＊（B）, KrCI＊（C）, Kr2Cl＊） and the UV photon concentrations （in 222 nm, 235 nm, 258 nm and 325 nm range）. The effects of chlorine concentration and the total gas pressure in the Kr-Cl2 discharge on the electric parameters and radiation emissions are investigated.

Solar cookers are a good option in developing countries with high solar potential for environmentally friendly cooking and reduced pressure on forests. However, they are still affected by the intermittency of the sun. In order to overcome this problem, in this work, a box type solar cooker integrated Jatropha oil as a heat storage material is fabricated and experimented with. The design was examined with a maximum stagnation temperature of 157.7°C. The recorded cooking power vanished between 78.4 and 103.6 W, while thermal efficiency varied from 41.26% to 58.78%. The energy transfer cycle test, including charge and discharge revealed that 91.18% of the heat lost through the cooker could be recovered by the heat storage unit and a large amount is restored to the system during cloudiness or a temperature perturbation.

Eclampsia: Epidemiological Aspects and Maternal and Foetal Prognosis at the University Teaching Hospital Centre (Uth) of Bouake

Objective: To determine the epidemiology and maternal-fetal prognosis of eclampsia at Bouaké University Teaching Hospital. Material and Methods: This was a prospective study with descriptive and analytical aims over a period from 01 January 2019 to 31 December 2021. It took place in the obstetrics and gynaecology department of the Bouaké University Teaching Hospital. The inclusion criterion was any seizure in the gravid-puerperal period in the context of preeclampsia. Data were entered and analysed using EPI InFO software version 7.***.2.6. Results: We performed 20,958 deliveries and recorded 241 cases of eclampsia, representing a prevalence of 1.14%. The ages of the participants ranged from 13 to 47 years with a mean age ± SD of 22 ± 7 years. The age group ≤ 19 years represented 45.64% of participants. Housewives accounted for 46.47%, and single women accounted for 54.77% of participants. The average parity ± SD was 1 ± 1.6 with range of 0 to 10, and nulliparous women accounted for 49.8% of participants. Patients who were evacuated accounted for 74.27% of our study population. The majority of eclampsia attacks occurred in the antepartum period (56.84%). The mean gestational age ± SD was 36 ± 3.6 weeks with a range of 24 to 42 weeks. The mode of delivery was caesarean section in 64.7% of cases. Maternal lethality was 7.88%. The factors associated with maternal mortality due to eclampsia were evacuation and parity of less than 3. Maternal morbidity was 16.6%. neonatal lethality was 18.95%. The factor associated with neonatal death in eclampsia was prematurity. Conclusion: We need to detect and manage preeclampsia early and effectively to reduce the frequency of eclampsia and improve its maternal-foetal prognosis in our context.

Level schemes for the neutron-rich ^(140,143)Ba nuclei have been determined by study of promptγ-rays in spontaneous fission of ^(252)*** level pattern and enhanced E1 transitions betweenπ=+andπ=-bands show reflection asymmetric shapes with simplex quantum number s=+1 in ^(140)Ba and s=±i in ^(143)Ba,*** octupole deformation stability with spin variation has been discussed.
