Examination of n-T_(9) conditions required by n=50,82,126 waiting points in r-process

We examined the conditions of neutron density(n) and temperature(T9) required for the n = 50, 82,and 126 isotopes to be waiting points(WP) in the r-process. The nuclear mass based on experimental data presented in the AME2020 database(AME and AME ± Δ) and that predicted using FRDM,WS4, DZ10, and KTUY models were employed in our estimations. We found that the conditions required by the n = 50 WP significantly overlap with those required by the n = 82 ones, except for the WS4 model. In addition, the upper(or lower) bounds of the n-T9 conditions based on the models are different from each other due to the deviations in the two-neutron separation *** standard deviations in the nuclear mass of 108 isotopes in the three n = 50, 82, and 126 groups are about rms = 0.192 and 0.434 Me V for the pairs of KTUY-AME and WS4-KTUY models,respectively. We found that these mass uncertainties result in a large discrepancy in the nn-T_(9) conditions, leading to significant differences in the conditions for simultaneously appearing all the three peaks in the r-process abundance. The newly updated FRDM and WS4 calculations can give the overall conditions for the appearance of all the peaks but vice versa for their old versions in a previous study. The change in the final r-process isotopic abundance due to the mass uncertainty is from a few factors to three orders of magnitude. Therefore, accurate nuclear masses of the r-process key nuclei, especially for 76 Fe,81Cu,127Rh,132Cd,192Dy, and 197Tm, are highly recommended to be measured in radioactive-ion beam facilities for a better understanding of the r-process evolution.

Background Chronic urticaria(CU)has been shown to impact patients'quality of life negatively and may coexist with psychiatric *** systematically reviewed the published evidence of comorbid psychiatric disorders in children and adolescents with *** A systematic review of studies published until February 2022 in PubMed,Google Scholar,and Scopus was *** a priori set of inclusion criteria was predefined for the studies to be included:(1)clear distinction between urticaria and other allergies;(2)precise distinction between acute and CU;(3)participants younger than 18 years old,exclusively;(4)use of appropriate standardized questionnaires,psychometric tools,and standard diagnostic nomenclature for the mental health and behavioral disorders diagnosis;and(5)manuscripts written or published in the English *** Our search identified 582 potentially relevant *** eight of them satisfied the inclusion ***-tive meta-analysis was not deemed appropriate,given the lack of relevant randomized control trials,the small number of relevant shortlisted,the small sample size of the patients included in each study,and the remarkable heterogeneity of the studies'*** The included studies suggest an increased incidence of psychopathology among children and adolescents with CU as opposed to healthy age-matched individuals,but the data are *** research is required to clarify whether psychopathology is just a comorbid entity,the cause,or the consequence of *** an interdisciplinary collaboration between allergists/dermatologists and psychiatrists is expected to substantially minimize CU burden and improve patients'quality of life.

Predicting effects of tunnel throttling of annular freeway vehicular flow by a continuum model

Fluid flow throttling is common in industrial and building services *** tunnel throttling of vehicular flow is caused by the abrupt number reduction of roadway lane,as the tunnel has a lower lane number than in the roadway normal *** predict the effects of tunnel throttling of annular freeway vehicular flow,a three-lane continuum model is ***Ⅲof the tunnel is completely blocked due to the need of tunnel rehabilitation,*** exists mandatory net lane-changing rate from laneⅢto laneⅡjust upstream of the tunnel entrance,which is described by a model of random number generated through a golden section *** net-changing rate between adjacent lanes is modeled using a lane-changing time expressed explicitly in algebraic *** paper assumes that the annular freeway has a total length of 100 km,a two-lane tunnel of length 2 km with a speed limit of 80 km/*** free flow speeds on lanesⅠ,ⅡandⅢare assumed to be 110,100 and 90 km/h *** on the three-lane continuum model,numerical simulations of vehicular flows on the annular freeway with such a tunnel are conducted with a reliable numerical method of 3rd-order *** results reveal that the vehicular flow has a smaller threshold of traffic jam formation in comparison with the case without tunnel *** fuel consumption can be estimated by interpolation with time averaged grid traffic speed and an assumed curve of vehicle *** vehicle fuel consumption is lane number dependent,distributes with initial density concavely,ranging from 5.56 to 8.00 *** throttling leads to an earlier traffic jam formation in comparison with the case without tunnel throttling.

Study on plasma sheath and plasma transport properties in the azimuthator

A physical model of transport in an azimuthator channel with the sheath effect resulting from the interaction between the plasma and insulation wall is established in this paper. Particle in cell simulation is carried out by the model and results show that, besides the transport due to classical and Bohm diffusions, the sheath effect can significantly influences the transport in the *** a result, the ion density is larger than the electron density at the exit of azimuthator, and the non-neutral plasma jet is divergent, which is unfavorable for mass separation. Then, in order to improve performance of the azimuthator, a cathode is designed to emit electrons. Experiment results have demonstrated that the auxiliary cathode can obviously compensate the space charge in the plasma.

We study the Banach-Lie group Ltaut（A） of Lie triple automorphisms of a complex associative H^＊-algebra A. Some consequences about its Lie algebra, the algebra of Lie triple derivations of A, Ltder（A）, are obtained. For a topologically simple A, in the infinite-dimensional case we have Ltaut（A）0 = Aut（A） implying Ltder（A） = Der（A）. In the finite-dimensional case Ltaut（A）0 is a direct product of Aut（A） and a certain subgroup of Lie derivations δ from A to its center, annihilating commutators.

A Study on Refractive Index Sensors Based on Optical Micro-Ring Resonators

In this work, the behavior of refractive index sensors based on optical micro-ring resonators is studied in detail. Using a result of waveguide perturbation theory in combination with numerical simulations, the optimum design parameters of the system, maximizing the sensitivity of the sensor, are determined. It is found that, when optimally designed, the sensor can detect relative refractive index changes of the order of △n/n≈3×10^-4, assuming that the experimental setup can detect relative wavelength shifts of the order of △λ/λ≈3×10^-5. The behavior of the system as bio-sensor has also been examined. It is found that, when optimally designed, the system can detect refractive index changes of the order of △n≈ 10^-3 for a layer thickness of t=- 10 nm, and changes in the layer thickness of the order of △t≈0.24 nm, for a refractive index change of △n=0.05.

Performance analysis of solar still with cow dung cakes and blue metal stones

The aims of this paper is to investigate the effects of various materials inside the solar still on the increase of the productivity of potable water. Here, blue metal stones and cow dung cakes were used as materials. To investigate their effect, three identical solar stills with an effective area of 1 m square made from locally available materials were tested in climate conditions of Mehsana （23°50＇ n 72° 23＇）. The first and second solar stills were filled with blue metal, stones and cow dung cakes, while the third one was taken as a reference which consisted of only blue paint at the basin. The experiments show that blue metal stones have the highest distillate output at daytime, followed by cow dung cakes solar still and reference solar still. On the other hand, the overall distillate output of blue metal stones and cow dung cakes at daytime as well as at night were 35% and 20% compared with that of reference solar still.

In this paper, the semi-discrete entropy conditions with so called the proper discrete entropy flux of a class of high resolution MUSCL type schemes are discussed for genuinely nonlinear scalar conservation laws. It is shown that the high resolution schemes satisfying such;semi-discrete entropy conditions cannot preserve second order accuracy in the rarefaction region.

A generic procedure for determining atomic LS spectral terms and their LS eigenfunctions

This paper develops a Fortran code which is capable to construct the simplest LS eigenfunctions for desired symmetry and determine all permitted atomic LS spectral terms under a given orbital occupancy by implementing and extending the Schaefer and Harris method. Examples （in some cases the most complete set to date） of multiple spectroscopic terms of LS coupling of atomic states for both non-equivalent and equivalent electronic configurations are given. It also corrects a few observed errors from the recent literature.

In this paper, following the paper [7], we analysis the 'sharp' estimate of the rate of entropy dissipation of the fully discrete MUSCL type Godunov schemes by the general compact theory introduced by Coquel-LeFloch [1, 2], and find: because of small viscosity of the above schemes, in the vincity of shock wave, the estimate of the above schemes is more easily obtained, but for rarefaction wave, we must impose a 'sharp' condition on limiter function in order to keep its entropy dissipation and its convergence.
