Purpose The AstroBio Cube Satellite(ABCS)will deploy within the inner Van Allen belt on the Vega C Maiden Flight launch opportunity of the European Space *** this altitude,ABCS will experience radiation doses orders of magnitude greater than in low earth orbit,where CubeSats usually *** paper aims to estimate the irradiation effect on the ABCS payload in the orbital condition,their possible mitigation designing shielding solutions and performs a preliminary representativity simulation study on the ABCS irradiation with fission neutron at the TAPIRO(TAratura Pila Rapida Potenza 0)nuclear research reactor facility at *** We quantify the contributions of geomagnetically trapped particles(electron and proton),Galactic Cosmic Rays(GCR ions),Solar energetic particle within the ABCS orbit using the ESA's SPace EnVironment information ***(Fluktuierende Kaskade-Fluctuating Cascade)code models the ABCS interaction with the orbital *** We found a shielding solution of the weight of 300 g constituted by subsequent layers of tungsten,resins,and aluminium that decreases on average the 20%overall dose rate relative to the shielding offered by the only satellite's ***,simulations of neutron irradiation of the whole ABCS structure within the TAPIRO's thermal column cavity show that a relatively short irradiation time is requested to reach the same level of 1 MeV neutron Silicon equivalent damage of the orbital *** The finding deserves the planning of a future experimental approach to confirm the TAPIRO's performance and establish an irradiation protocol for testing aerospatial electronic components.

Hyperon-hyperon interaction in relativistic mean field model

By using the new experimental data of AA potential, this paper has performed a full calculation for strange hadronic matter with different strangeness contents as well as its consequences on the global properties of neutron star matter in relativistic mean field model. It finds that the new weak hyperon-hyperon interaction makes the equations of state much stiffer than the result of the previous strong hyperon hyperon interaction, and even stiffer than the result without consideration of hyperon-hyperon interaction. This new hyperon-hyperon interaction results in a maximum mass of 1.75M⊙ （where M⊙ stands for the mass of the Sun）, about 0.2-0.5M⊙ larger than the previous prediction with the presence of hyperons. After examining carefully the onset densities of kaon condensation it finds that this new weak version of hyperon-hyperon interaction favours the occurrence of kaons in comparison with the strong one.

The critical parameters of the liquid-gas phase transition of symmetric nuclear matter are computed using the Brueckner-Hartree-Fock method at finite temperature by employing different realistic nucleon-nucleon *** effects on single-particle potentials,defect functions,and three-body forces are discussed in *** obtained from the full procedure and frozen-correlations approximation are *** find critical temperatures of approximately 14 to 19 MeV and critical densities in the range of 0.05 to 0.08fm^(-3),depending on the interactions employed.

Three-dimensional imaging reconstruction of the kidney’s anatomy for a tailored minimally invasive partial nephrectomy:A pilot study

Objective:The aim of the study was to evaluate three-dimensional virtual models(3DVMs)usefulness in the intraoperative assistance of minimally-invasive partial nephrectomy in highly complex renal ***:At our institution cT1-2n0M0 all renal masses with Preoperative Aspects and Dimensions Used for an Anatomical classification score≥10 treated with minimally-invasive partial nephrectomy were considered for the present *** inclusion a baseline contrast-enhanced computed tomography in order to obtain 3DVMs,the baseline and postoperative serum creatinine as well as estimated glomerular filtration rate values were *** patients,in which 3DVMs were used to assist the surgeon in the planning and intraoperative guidance,were then compared with a control group of patients who underwent minimally-invasive partial nephrectomy with the same renal function assessments,but without *** logistic regression models were used to predict the margin,ischemia,and complication score ***:Overall,79 patients met the inclusion criteria and were compared with 143 complex renal masses without 3DVM *** 3DVM group showed better postoperative outcomes in terms of baseline-weighted differential estimated glomerular filtration rate(-17.7%vs.-22.2%,p=0.03),postoperative complications(16.5%vs.23.1%,p=0.03),and major complications(Clavien Dindo>III,2.5%vs.5.6%,p=0.03).At multivariable logistic regression 3DVM assistance independently predicted higher rates of successful partial nephrectomy(odds ratio:1.42,p=0.03).Conclusion:3DVMs represent a useful tool to plan a tailored surgical approach in case of surgically complex *** can be used in different ways,matching the surgeon's needs from the planning phase to the demolitive and reconstructive phase,leading towards maximum safety and efficacy outcomes.
