Correlation of IL-8 with induction, progression and metastatic potential of colorectal cancer

AIm: To investigate the expression profile of IL-8 in inflammatory and malignant colorectal diseases to evaluate its potential role in the regulation of colorectal cancer (CRC) and the development of colorectal liver metastases (CRLm). mETHoDS: IL-8 expression was assessed by quantitative real-time PCR (Q-RT-PCR) and the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) in resected specimens from patients with ulcerative colitis (UC, n = 6) colorectal adenomas (CRA, n = 8), different stages of colorectal cancer (n = 48) as well as synchronous and metachronous CRLm along with their corresponding primary colorectal tumors (n = 16). RESULTS: IL-8 mRnA and protein expression was significantly up-regulated in all pathological colorectal entities investigated compared with the corresponding neighboring tissues. However, in the CRC specimens IL-8 revealed a significantly more pronounced overexpression in relation to the CRA and UC tissues with an average 30-fold IL-8 protein up-regulation in the CRC specimens in comparison to the CRA tissues. moreover, IL-8 expression revealed a close correlation with tumor grading. most interestingly, IL-8 up-regulation was most enhanced in synchronous and metachronous CRLm, if compared with the corresponding primary CRC tissues. Herein, an up to 80-fold IL-8 overexpression in individual metachronous metastases compared to normal tumor neighbor tissues was found. ConCLUSIon: our results strongly suggest an association between IL-8 expression, induction and progression of colorectal carcinoma and the development of colorectal liver metastases.

Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces(RIS)have emerged as a promising technology for improving the reliability of massive mImo communication ***,conventional RIS suffer from poor Spectral Efficiency(SE)and high energy consumption,leading to complex Hybrid Precoding(HP)*** address these issues,we propose a new low-complexity HP model,named Dynamic Hybrid Relay Reflecting RIS based Hybrid Precoding(DHRR-RIS-HP).our approach combines active and passive elements to cancel out the downsides of both conventional *** first design a DHRR-RIS and optimize the pilot and Channel State Information(CSI)estimation using an adaptive threshold method and Adaptive Back Propagation neural network(ABPnn)algorithm,respectively,to reduce the Bit error Rate(ber)and energy *** optimize the data stream,we cluster them into private and public streams using Enhanced Fuzzy C-means(EFCm)algorithm,and schedule them based on priority and emergency *** maximize the sum rate and SE,we perform digital precoder optimization at the Base Station(BS)side using Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient(DDPG)algorithm and analog precoder optimization at the DHRR-RIS using Fire Hawk optimization(FHo)*** implement our proposed work using mATLAB R2020a and compare it with existing works using several validation *** results show that our proposed work outperforms existing works in terms of SE,Weighted Sum Rate(WSR),and ber.

An extensive analysis of iron-nitrogen-carbon(Fe-n-C)electrocatalysts synthesis and activity is presented concerning synthesis conditions such as initial Fe content,pyrolysis temperature and atmosphere(inert n_(2),reducing nH_(3),oxidizing Cl_(2) and their sequential combinations)and the influence of an external magnetic field on their performance in oxygen reduction reaction(oRR).Thermosetting porous polymers doped with FeCl_(3) were utilized as the Fe-n-C catalysts *** pyrolysis temperature was varied within a 700-900℃*** temperature and atmosphere of pyrolysis strongly affect the porosity and compositi on of the resultant Fe-n-C catalysts,while the in itial amount of Fe precursor shows much weaker *** under nH_(3) yields materials similar to those pyrolyzed under an inert atmosphere(n_(2)).In contrast,pyrolysis under Cl_(2) yields carbon of peculiar character with highly disordered structure and extensive *** application of a static external magnetic field strongly enhances the oRR process(herein studied in an alkaline environment)and the enhancement correlates with the Fe content in the Fe-n-C *** Fe-n-C materials containing ferromagnetic iron phase embedded in n-doped microporous carbon constitute attractive catalysts for magnetic field-aided anion exchange membrane fuel cell technology.

The problem of nonparametric identification of a multivariate nonlinearity in a D-input Hammer- stein system is examined. It is demonstrated that if the input measurements are structured, in the sense that there exists some hidden relation between them, i.e. if they are distributed on some （unknown） d-dimensional space m in IRD, d 〈 D, then the system nonlinearity can be recovered at points on m with the convergence rate o（n-1/（2＋d）） dependent on d. This rate is thus faster than the generic rate o（n-1/（2＋D）） achieved by typical nonparametric algorithms and controlled solely by the number of inputs D.

Abstract We study affine Jacobi structures （brackets） on an affine bundle π ： A → m, i.e. Jacobi brackets that close on affine functions. We prove that if the rank of A is non-zero, there is a one-toone correspondence between affine Jacobi structures on A and Lie algebroid structures on the vector bundle A^＋ = ∪p∈m Aff（Ap, R） of affine functionals. In the case rank A = 0, it is shown that there is a one-to-one correspondence between affine Jacobi structures on A and local Lie algebras on A^＋. Some examples and applications, also for the linear case, are discussed. For a special type of affine Jacobi structures which are canonically exhibited （strongly-affine or affine-homogeneous Jacobi structures） over a real vector space of finite dimension, we describe the leaves of its characteristic foliation as the orbits of an affine representation. These affine Jacobi structures can be viewed as an analog of the Kostant-Arnold-Liouville linear Poisson structure on the dual space of a real finite-dimensional Lie algebra.

在nimonic 80A合金表面用激光合金法技术制备较厚的表层。激光表面改性前在材料表面预涂覆3种浆料:非晶硼、非晶硼与钼和非晶硼与铌。详细研究激光处理后表层的显微组织、硬度和耐磨性能。重熔区不同类型硼化物的形成与浆料成分有关,其硬度增加,可达HV 1000左右。通过计算样品和对磨件的质量磨损强度因子I_(mw)和相对质量损失来评价样品的耐磨性。采用三维干涉显微镜、扫描电镜和电子能谱仪表征摩擦副的磨损行为。与未处理的nimonic 80A合金相比,激光处理后的合金其耐磨性明显提高。含硼和铌的nimonic 80A合金激光合金化后的表面具有最低的质量损失强度因子(I_(mw)=1.234 mg/(cm^2?h))。激光合金化表层的沟槽清晰可见,其磨损机制为磨粒磨损。经激光处理后含硼和铌合金表面的能谱分析图谱中有氧存在,表现出额外的氧化磨损机制。
