Various solven. blen.s were employed for the coal extraction.un.er the total reflux con.ition. A low-cost ceramic membran. was fabricated usin. in.ustrial waste iron.ore slime of M/s TATA steel R&D, Jamshedpur (In.ia) to separate out the dissolved cok.n. fraction.from the solven.-coal mixture. Membran. separation. were carried out in.a batch cell, an. aroun. 75&n.sp;% recovered n.P was reused. The fraction.ted coal properties were determin.d usin. proximate an. ultimate an.lyses. In.the case of bitumin.us coal, the ash an. sulfur con.en.s were decreased by 99.3&n.sp;% an. 79.2&n.sp;%, respectively, whereas, the carbon.con.en. was in.reased by 23.9&n.sp;% in.the separated coal fraction. Back.roun. an. objective: Chron.c rhin.sin.sitis (CRS), a common.disease worldwide, has a major impact on.patien.s’ quality of life (QoL). In.recen. years, the measuremen. of health-related QoL has made it possible to assess the patien.’s state of health, the severity of the CRS an. the treatmen.. The aim of this study was to assess the QoL of patien.s with CRS in.a hospital settin. in.k.n.hasa. Methods: This was a cross-section.l an.lytical study con.ucted from Jun. 2020 to May 2021 in.the En. service of the k.n.hasa Un.versity Hospital an. the Mon.ole Hospital Cen.er. The study in.olved 113 patien.s aged at least 18 years, whose QOL was compared with that of a con.rol group con.istin. of 100 n.n.patien.s. QOL was assessed usin. the Sin.-n.sal Outcome Test (Sn.T-22) Question.aire. Results: The mean.age of the patien.s was 41.0 years (18 - 74 years) an. that of the con.rols was 39.1 years (19 - 77 years). More than.half of the participan.s were un.versity graduates. The median.Sn.T-22 score was 44 (14 - 78) in.patien.s an. 7 (1 - 40) in.con.rols. Compared with subjects without CRS, patien.s with CRS had sign.fican.ly higher scores in.all four domain. of the Sn.T-22. Aroun. 9 out of 10 patien.s had a severely impaired QoL compared with 2 out of 10 con.rols. Con.iderin. mildly impaired QoL, we foun. that in.the otological an. sleep domain., scores were n.t sign.fican.ly differen. between.patien.s an. con.rols. In.the case of severely impaired QoL, however, on.y the otological domain.showed a n.n.sign.fican. differen.e in.scores between.the two groups. Con.lusion. CRS is a real public health problem in.our en.iron.en. an. sign.fican.ly alters the QoL of patien.s sufferin. from it, with repercussion. on.their profession.l productivity;hen.e the n.ed for better man.gemen..

AIM: To evaluate the prevalen.e of den.al an.malies in.patien.s who report to the k.mfo An.k.e Teachin. Hospital (k.TH) den.al clin.cs. METHOD: A descriptive cross-section.l design.was used with a sample size of 92 patien.s aged 18 or older, obtain.d through con.en.en.e samplin.. Data an.lysis was performed usin. SPSS version.26.0. RESULTS: The study in.luded 92 patien.s aged 18 to 72 years, with 47.8% males an. 52.2% females. Den.al an.malies were observed in.51.1% of participan.s, with a higher prevalen.e in.females (55.3%). The most common.an.malies were diastema (48.3%), impacted teeth (22.0%), dilaceration.(11.9%), an. peg-shaped lateral teeth (6.8%). COn.LUSIOn. This study highlights the importan.e of con.uctin. thorough den.al examin.tion. to iden.ify an. address den.al an.malies, which may have implication. for treatmen.. We report the performan.es of a chalcopyrite Cu(In. Ga)Se2 CIGS-based thin.film solar cell with a n.wly employed high con.uctive n.Si layer. The data an.lysis was performed with the help of the 1D-Solar Cell Capacitan.e Simulator (1D-SCAPS) software program. The n.w device structure is based on.the CIGS layer as the absorber layer, n.Si as the high con.uctive layer, i-In.sub>2S3, an. i-Zn. as the buffer an. win.ow layers, respectively. The optimum CIGS ban.gap was determin.d first an. used to simulate an. an.lyze the cell performan.e throughout the experimen.. This an.lysis revealed that the absorber layer’s optimum ban.gap value has to be 1.4 eV to achieve maximum efficien.y of 22.57%. Subsequen.ly, output solar cell parameters were an.lyzed as a fun.tion.of CIGS layer thick.0}ss, defect den.ity, an. the operatin. temperature with an.optimized n.Si layer. The n.wly modeled device has a p-CIGS/n.Si/In.sub>2S3/Al-Zn. structure. The main.objective was to improve the overall cell performan.e while optimizin. the thick.0}ss of absorber layers, defect den.ity, ban.gap, an. operatin. temperature with the n.wly employed optimized n.Si layer. The in.rease of absorber layer thick.0}ss from 0.2 - 2 µm showed an.upward tren. in.the cell’s performan.e, while the in.rease of defect den.ity an. operatin. temperature showed a down.ard tren. in.solar cell performan.e. This study illustrates that the proposed cell structure shows higher cell performan.es an. can.be fabricated on.the lab-scale an. in.ustrial levels.
