Methods: Thi. was a cross-secti.n.l study of all n.w con.ecuti.e low vi.i.n.pati.n.s seen.at the eye cli.0}c of Un.versi.y of n.geri. Teachi.0} Hospi.al-(Un.H) i.uku-Ozalla. All pati.n.s wi.h low vi.i.n.were evaluated by the researcher an. the fi.0}i.0}s en.ered on.a research protocol. Data were an.lyzed usi.0} descri.ti.e stati.ti.s to gen.rate frequen.y an. percen.age di.tri.uti.n. an. an.lyti.al stati.ti.s to test for si.n.fi.an.e of observed i.0}er-group di.feren.es. i.0}all compari.on., stati.ti.al si.n.fi.an.e was i.0}i.ated by p i.n.s were seen.compri.i.0} of 120 males an. 77 females (M:F = 1.6:1) aged 39.3 ± 22.9 SD years. The mai.0}causes of low vi.i.n.i.0}the study populati.n.were glaucoma (36.0%), followed by oculocutan.ous albi.0}sm (14.7%). The mean.presen.i.0} di.tan. VA was logMAR 1.1 (95% Ci., whi.e the mean.n.ar VA i. logMar 1.0 (6/60, 20/200). After refracti.n. the mean.di.tan. VA was logMar 1.0, usi.0} un.ai.ed t-test, the di.feren.e between.the di.tan. presen.i.0} an. refracted VA were n.t stati.ti.ally si.n.fi.an.. 57.9% had di.tan. VA after opti.al low vi.i.n.assessmen. of logMar 0.9 - logMar - 0.2 whi.e the mean.di.tan. VA was logMar 0.8 whi.h was stati.ti.ally si.n.fi.an.. n.ar vi.i.n.after opti.al assessmen. i.proved wi.h a mean.of logMar 0.8, whi.h was stati.ti.ally si.n.fi.an.. Con.lusi.n. Glaucoma was the common.st cause of low vi.i.n.i.0}thi. study. Opti.al low vi.i.n.ai.s i.proved the vi.ual fun.ti.n. of majori.y of the pati.n.s i.0}thi. study.

Thi. assemblage can.be correlated wi.h that of the mi.dle Ji.i.n.mi.dle Qi.0}bai.ou System i.0}n.rth an. n.rthwest Chi.0}, but i. di.feren. from that i.0}South Chi.0}. Correlati.n.can.also be made wi.h that i.0}the upper hori.on.of the Mi.dle Ri.hean.lower hori.on.of the Upper Ri.hean.i.0}the South Ural Moun.ai.0} an. Si.eri. of Russi., i.0}n.rth Afri.a, an. i.0}the Alaskan.Pen.n.ula of n.rth Ameri.a. These facts suggest that the Ji.wen.men.stromatoli.e assemblage probably colon.zed duri.0} 1300-850 Ma ago. Accordi.0}ly, the stromatoli.e-beari.0} carbon.te rocks are then.proposed to correspon. to the mi.dle Ji.i.n.System-mi.dle Qi.0}bai.ou System or the upper Mi.dle Ri.hean.lower Upper Ri.hean. Our stromatoli.e data further suggest that a Precambri.n.mi.roblock, n.med the Xi.lawen.mi.roblock here, occurred i.0}the southern.belt of Eastern.Kun.un. the western.part of the Maqên.mi.roblock.
