For in.tan.e, Jordan.relies h.avily on.th. importation.of n.tural gas an. crude oil for its en.rgy n.eds;but, by applyin. th.rmoch.mical con.ersion.tech.0}ques, leftover olive oil can.be used to replace th.se en.rgy sources. Un.erstan.in. th. ch.mical, ph.sical, an. th.rmal ch.racteristics of raw materials is essen.ial to obtain.n. th. most out of th.se con.ersion.processes. Th.rmogravimetric an.lysis was used in.th.s study to examin. th. th.rmal beh.vior of olive-solid residue (kern.l) at th.ee differen. h.atin. rates (5, 20 an. 40 C/min. in.n.trogen.an. oxygen.atmosph.res.
