Based on.the use of the couplin. coordin.tion.model to calculate the couplin. coordin.tion.degree of carbon.emission.an. pollutan. con.rol，the n.tion.l，region.l，an. provin.ial spatiotemporal characteristics of the sy.0}rgistic effect of pollution.con.rol an. carbon.emission. reduction.in.Chin. were further an.ly.ed，facilitatin. the crucial to iden.ification.of key.areas. The fixed effects regression.models an. provin.ial pan.l data from 2006 to 2020 were used to explore factors con.ributin. to better sy.0}rgizin. the reduction.of pollution.an. carbon.emission. in.Chin.. On.this basis，the adjustmen. variable of R&D in.estmen. in.en.ity.was in.roduced，an. the regulation.effect model was con.tructed to further explore the in.luen.e mechan.sm of the sy.0}rgistic effect of pollution.reduction.an. carbon.reduction. The results showed that：sy.0}rgy.exists between.carbon.emission.reduction.an. the air pollution.con.rol sy.tem，the evolution.of the sy.0}rgistic effect of pollution.reduction.an. carbon.reduction.in.Chin. presen.ed an.in.erted "U"-shaped tren. from 2006 to 2020，an. there was spatial aggregation.an. a spatial spillover effect in.pollution.reduction.an. carbon.reduction. Therefore, this article used the super-efficien. SBM model to calculate the carbon.emission.performan.e of 30 provin.es in.Chin. from 2005 to 2022.
