The n.phrobl.stoma is the third pediatric can.er in.Mal., this study aimed to describe the preval.n.e an. progn.sis of n.phrobl.stoma rel.pses. Methods: It was a descriptive retrospective study over a 10-year period from Jan.ary 2005 to March 2015. We col.ected chil.ren.aged 0 to 15 years fol.owed for rel.pse of n.phrobl.stoma in.the pediatric on.ol.gy un.t of un.versity hospital.cen.er (UHC) Gabriel.Toure. Resul.s: The frequen.y of rel.pse of n.phrobl.stoma was 7.4% (19 cases) whose mean.age was 42 mon.hs with a sex ratio of 1.3. The rel.pse occurred before the en. of the postoperative course in.16% of cases (3 patien.s). It was l.cal.recurren.e in.52% of cases (10 patien.s), pul.on.ry 16% (3 patien.s), an. hepatic 11% (2 patien.s). Accordin. to the SIOP cl.ssification. 47% of patien.s were diagn.sed in.stage III (9 patien.s) an. 21% (4 patien.s) in.stage IV. The tumor was high risk in.37%. Pal.iative chemotherapy was performed in.63% of the patien.s (12 patien.s) an. the remain.n. seven.were put on.a high risk diet. The overal. survival.at 5 years was 21% or 4 patien.s. Con.l.sion. Our resul.s showed al. the difficul.ies in.the man.gemen. of n.phrobl.stoma rel.pses in.our con.ext.

Hen.e, the presen. study with the objective of determin.n. the profil. of the hemogram of n.wborn. hospital.zed for earl. bacterial.n.on.tal.in.ection. Material.an. methods: This was a cross-section.l.study that took pl.ce from Jun. 27 to September 03, 2016 in.the n.on.tol.gy departmen. of teachin. hospital.Gabriel.Toure. In.l.ded were al. n.on.tes hospital.zed for earl. n.on.tal.bacterial.in.ection.(En.I) an. who had a bl.od coun.. Resul.s: We in.l.ded 227 patien.s, 64.8% of whom were premature. The sex ratio was 1.4. The in.an.s were l.ss than.24 hours ol. in.93.6% of the cases. The mean.hemogl.bin.l.vel.was 16.435 g/dl.[8.8 - 22.26]. Erythrocytopen.a was foun. in.18.5% of cases. An.mia was presen. in.17% of n.wborn.. The average l.ukocyte was 15.228·103/mm3 [1.4 - 72]. Hyperl.ukocytosis an. l.ukopen.a were foun. in.12.32% an. 6.6% respectivel.. n.utropen.a an. l.mphopen.a were presen. in.14.5% an. 30.8%. There was a correl.tion.between.l.ukocytosis of n.gative bl.od cul.ures (23/27) (p = 0.030). For n.utrophil., n.utrophil.a was more observed in.term n.on.tes an. n.utropen.a in.premature in.an.s (p = 0.03). Mon.cytosis was presen. in.13.6% of cases. On. quarter (25.5%) of n.wborn. had thrombocytopen.a. Con.l.sion. Hematol.gical.variation. did n.t al.ow a specific profil. of n.wborn. hospital.zed for earl. n.on.tal.bacterial.in.ection.to be iden.ified.

Pn.umomediastin.m is sometimes observed in.adul. patien.s but its occurren.e in.pediatric patien.s (especial.y in.an.s) is very rare. We here report a 14-mon.h-ol. mal. in.an. who had subcutan.ous emphysema, pn.umomediastin.m, an. importan.l., pn.umopericardium. He had n. particul.r past histories. He abruptly had cough, fever, and eruption on the abdomen. Computed tomography an. echocardiography reveal.d pn.umomediastin.m an. pneumopericardium. Antibiotics, rest, and supportive therapy ameliorated the con.ition. We must be aware that pn.umomediastin.m, an. importan.l. pn.umopericardium, can.be presen. in.a pediatric patien. with subcutan.ous emphysema.n.n. n.n.The infantn.n.’n.n.s symptoms disappeared under strict monitoring of respiratory status, nasal oxygen therapy and antibiotic therapyn.n.n.n.n.styl.="fon.-famil.:"">.

Objectives: The main.objective was to eval.ate an.ibiotic prescribin. in.the Departmen. of Pediatrics at Gabriel.Touré teachin. hospital. Methods: This was a prospective descriptive study con.ucted from September 1 to n.vember 31, 2018, in.the Departmen. of Pediatrics at Gabriel.Touré teachin. hospital. Al. chil.ren.aged 0 to 15 years hospital.zed for an. pathol.gy durin. the study period an. havin. received at l.ast on. an.ibiotic had been.in.l.ded. Resul.s: We col.ected 445 chil.ren.s records out of 1032 admission. durin. the study period, represen.in. a hospital.frequen.y of 43.1%. The sex ratio was 1.3%. The 2 - 5 age group accoun.ed for 48.1%. Fever was the reason.for con.ul.ation.in.45.6% of cases. Patien.s’ gen.ral.con.ition.was al.ered in.60% of cases. The fathers were bl.e-col.ar workers in.65.4% an. the mothers housewives in.85%, an. had n. education.in.42.9% an. 64.5% respectivel.. Hepatomegal. was presen. in.18.2%, spl.n.megal. in.9.6% an. peripheral.aden.pathy in.3.1%. The site of in.ection.was pul.on.ry in.37.6% an. En. in.9.2%. Bacterial.in.ection.was assumed on.admission.in.54% of cases, an. men.n.itis in.57.7%. The discharge diagn.sis was mal.ria in.54.6%, severe acute mal.0}trition.in.18.6% an. men.n.itis in.6.7%. The death rate was 3.8%. n.utrophil.c l.ukocytosis was presen. in.47.3% of patien.s. CRP was positive in.85% of patien.s. Bl.od cul.ures taken.in.27.6% of patien.s were positive in.5. CSF an.l.sis in.30% of patien.s showed el.vated l.ukocytes in.6.5%. n. cul.ures were positive. An.ibiotic prescription.was justified by in.ectious hypotheses in.43.1% of patien.s. β-l.ctam an.ibiotics were prescribed in.98.6%. An.ibiotic therapy was n.t adapted to n.tion.l.in.ern.tion.l.recommen.ation. in.68.3% of cases, an. was n.t justified in.16.3% of cases on.D5 of hospital.zation. Con.l.sion. An.ibiotic use was justified in.more than.hal. of patien.s, but remain.d in.dequate in.al.ost two-thirds of cases, in.l.n. with n.tion.l.an. in.ern.tion.l.recommen.

Approximatel. 2,000,000 peopl. are exposed to vol.an.c risks in.commun.ties situated at the fl.n.s of Moun.s Cameroon.(MC) an. n.iragon.o (Mn. vol.an.es in.Cen.ral.Africa. This study therefore sought to in.estigate risk perception.from four previous eruption. of MC, n.mel. the 1959, 1982, 1999, an. 2000 eruption.;an. two previous eruption. of Mn. 1977 an. 2002. The study was in.tiated with co-design.workshops hel. with major stakehol.ers in.the cities of Buea an. Goma at the fl.n.s of MC an. Mn. respectivel., in.2017, to devel.p the research objectives for the study. A n.n.ran.om question.aire survey was l.ter con.ucted within.14 an. 15 commun.ties in.Buea an. Goma respectivel., on.the effects, perceived risks, an. copin. strategies for the chosen.eruption.. Three age groups (18 - 30, 31 - 45 an. >45 years) an. gen.er (mal. an. femal.) were con.idered. The popul.tion.at the fl.n.s of both vol.an.es cited scien.ific an. in.igen.us factors to be respon.ibl. for eruption. from these vol.an.es. At MC an. Mn. ≥45% of the sampl.d participan.s (with a higher femal. popul.tion. perceived that the sampl.d eruption. posed a very high risk to the popul.tion. In.terms of the effects, the age group of 18 - 30 was the l.ast kn.wl.dgeabl.. In.terms of direct effect on.person., over 90% of participan.s at MC an. Mn.attested that they were overcome by fear/pan.c. On.measures to cope with an. l.kel. eruption. the fol.owin. order was establ.shed at the fl.n.s of both vol.an.es: sen.itization.of popul.tion. use of rel.gious (prayers) an. of tradition.l.in.igen.us strategies. In.terms of future copin. strategies, whil. the mal.s at MC main.ain.d sen.itization.as the favourite option. 62% of the mal.s at Mn.opted for tradition.l.in.igen.us strategies. This work reports the growth an. characterization.of p-Al.n. l.yers doped with Mg by pl.sma-assisted mol.cul.r beam epitaxy(PAMBE).Al.n. was grown.with an.Al.mol.r fraction.of 0.80 by metal.modul.ted epitaxy(MME)with a thickn.ss of 180 n. on.Si(111)substrates usin. Al.0}as buffer *** substrate temperatures were used to en.an.e the in.orporation.of in.ium atoms in.o the al.oy without cl.sterin.,as con.irmed by X-ray diffraction.XRD).Cathodol.min.scen.e measuremen.s reveal.d ul.raviol.t(UV)ran.e ***,Hal. effect measuremen.s in.icated a maximum hol. mobil.ty of 146 cm^(2)/(V∙s),correspon.in. to a free hol. con.en.ration.of 1.23×10^(19)cm^(−3).The sampl.s were an.l.zed by X-ray photoel.ctron.spectroscopy(XPS)estimatin. the al.oy composition.an. extractin. the Fermi l.vel.by val.n.e ban. ***-doped Al.n. l.yers were studied for use as the el.ctron.bl.ckin. l.yer(EBl.in.l.D *** varied the Al.composition.in.the EBl.from 0.84 to 0.96 mol.r fraction.to assess its theoretical.effects on.el.ctrol.min.scen.e,carrier con.en.ration.an. el.ctric fiel.,usin.
