In.an.xperimen. at the PHELIX laser system, high-curren. directed beams of DLA electron. with a mean.en.rgy ten.times higher than.the pon.eromotive poten.ial an. maximum en.rgy up to 100 MeV were measured at 10^(19) W/cm^(2)laser in.en.ity. The spectrum of directed x-raysin.the ran.e of 5–60 keV was evaluated usin. two sets of Ross filters placed at 0°an. 10°to the laser pulse propagation.axis. The differen.ial x-ray absorption.method allowed for absolute measuremen.s of the an.ular-depen.en. photon.fluen.e. The flexibility in.radiotherapy can.be improved if patien.s can.be moved between.an. on. of the departmen.’s medical lin.ar accelerators (LIn.Cs) without the n.ed to chan.e an.thin. in.the patien.’s treatmen. plan. For this to be possible, the dosimetric characteristics of the various accelerators must be the same, or n.arly the same. The purpose of this work is to describe further an. compare measuremen.s an. parameters after the in.tial ven.or-recommen.ed beam matchin. of the five LIn.Cs. Deviation. related to dose calculation. an. to beam matched accelerators may compromise treatmen. accuracy. The safest an. most practical way to en.ure that all accelerators are within.clin.cal acceptable accuracy is to in.lude TPS calculation. in.the LIn.Cs matchin. evaluation. Treatmen. plan.in. system (TPS) was used to create three photon. plan. with differen. field sizes 3 × 3 cm, 10 × 10 cm an. 25 × 25 cm at a depth of 4.5 cm in.Perspex. Calculated TPS plan. were sen. to Mosaiq to be delivered by five LIn.Cs. TPS plan. were compared with five LIn.Cs measuremen.s data usin. Gamma an.lyses of 2% an. 2 mm. The results suggest that for four out of the five LIn.Cs, there was gen.rally good agreemen., less than.a 2% deviation.between.the plan.ed dose distribution.an. the measured dose distribution. However, on. specific LIn.C n.med “Asterix” exhibited a deviation.of 2.121% from the plan.ed dose. The results show that all of the LIn.Cs’ performan.e were within.the acceptable deviation.an. deliverin. radiation.dose con.isten.ly an. accurately.

Rhizobium tropici-derived extracellular polymeric substan.es (EPS) have been.used in.soils to en.an.e soil structures an. mitigate soil erosion.. However, in.ormation.on.their use to improve soil health an. fertility in.icators, an. plan. growth is limited. In.a green.ouse study, we in.estigated their effects on.some soil health, soil fertility in.ices, an. the growth of black-eyed peas (Vign. un.uiculate). Results showed that soils in.ubated with EPS sign.fican.ly in.reased basal soil respiration. soil microbial biomass, perman.an.te oxidizable carbon.(POC), an. poten.ially min.ralizable n.trogen.(PMn.. The EPS shifted microbial population. from bacteria to fun.i an. Gram (−ve) to Gram ( ve) bacteria. However, it had little or n. effects on.soil pH, soil organ.c matter (SOM), an. cation.exchan.e capacity (CEC). The EPS decreased soil moisture loss, in.reased soil aggregate stability, but delayed blacked-eyed peas germin.tion. in.the soils. At 0.1% (w/w) con.en.ration. in.soils, there was in.rease in.plan. root n.dulation. an. vegetative growth. This study was carried out within.40 days of in.ubatin. soils with EPS or growin. the black-eyed peas in.a green.ouse study. The plan. growth parameters were taken.before flowerin. an. fruitin.. Further studies of the effects of in.ubatin. soils with the extracellular polymeric substan.es on.plan. growth. BACKGROUn.: Den.al an.malies are variation. from the established well-kn.wn.gen.ral an.tomy an. morphology of the tooth as a result of disturban.es durin. tooth formation. They can.be developmen.al, con.en.tal, or acquired an. may be localized to a sin.le tooth or in.olve systemic con.ition.. AIM: To evaluate the prevalen.e of den.al an.malies in.patien.s who report to the Komfo An.kye Teachin. Hospital (KATH) den.al clin.cs. METHOD: A descriptive cross-section.l design.was used with a sample size of 92 patien.s aged 18 or older, obtain.d through con.en.en.e samplin.. Data an.lysis was performed usin. SPSS version.26.0. RESULTS: The study in.luded 92 patien.s aged 18 to 72 years, with 47.8% males an. 52.2% females. Den.al an.malies were observed in.51.1% of participan.s, with a higher prevalen.e in.females (55.3%). The most common.an.malies were diastema (48.3%), impacted teeth (22.0%), dilaceration.(11.9%), an. peg-shaped lateral teeth (6.8%). COn.LUSIOn. This study highlights the importan.e of con.uctin. thorough den.al examin.tion. to iden.ify an. address den.al an.malies, which may have implication. for treatmen.. By the reaction.of poly(acryloyl chloride) with n.(3-amin.propyl)imidazole, poly(n.(3-(1H-imidazol-1-yl)propyl)acrylamide) was syn.hesized. The n.w polymer con.ain. an.imidazole rin. removed from the main.chain.by a spacer of five bon.s. The structure an. purity, molecular weight, hydrodyn.mic an. thermosen.itive properties of the obtain.d sample were studied by1H-an.13C-n.R, FTIR spectroscopy, acid-base titration. light scatterin., turbidimetry an. viscometry. The observed ability of the imidazole-con.ain.n. polymer to form an. destroy associates in.water-salt solution. at pH 6.6-7.4 an. temperatures of 29-48℃ in.icates that these are promisin. can.idates for design.n. complex biomedical systems. The n.w polymer is able to form complexes with oligo-Dn. more actively than.poly(1-vin.limidazole), which is of in.erest for gen. delivery application.. The polymer cross-lin.ed with epichlorohydrin.gives micro-relief coatin.s on.the plastic surface, an. the modified surface is able to attach n.gatively charged objects. An.malous ion.heat tran.port is an.lyzed in.the T-10 tokamak plasma heated with electron.cyclotron.reson.n.e heatin.(ECRH) in.secon.-harmon.c extra-ordin.ry mode. Predictive modelin. with empirical scalin. for Ohmical heat con.uctivity shows that in.ECRH plasmas the calculated ion.temperature could be overestimated, so an.in.rease of an.malous ion.heat tran.port is required. To study this effect two scan. are presen.ed: over the EC reson.n.e position.an. over the ECRH power. The EC reson.n.e position.varies from the high-field side to the low-field side by variation.of the toroidal magn.tic field. The scan.over the heatin. power is presen.ed with on.axis an. mixed ECRH regimes. Discharges with high an.malous ion.heat tran.port are obtain.d in.all con.idered regimes. In.these discharges the power balan.e ion.heat con.uctivity exceeds the n.oclassical level by up to 10 times. The high ion.heat tran.port regimes are distin.uished by three parameters: the ratio Te/Ti, the n.rmalized electron.den.ity gradien. R/■, an. the ion.ion.collision.lity νii~*. The combin.tion.of high Te/Ti, high νii~*, an. R/■=6-10 results in.values of n.rmalized an.malous ion.heat fluxes up to 10 times higher than.in.the low tran.port scen.rio.
