The presen. study reported the effect of filler metals on.the microstructure an. mechan.cal properties of pulsed curren. gas tun.sten.arc-welded In.on.l 718 plates. Two differen. filler metals such as ERn.Cr-3 an. ERn.CrMo-4 were employed for weldin. In.on.l 718. The primary objective of this study is to suppress or eradicate the deleterious phase such as Laves or δ （delta） which is con.idered to be detrimen.al to the weld properties. Microstructure examin.tion.corroborated the presen.e of un.ixed zon. at the HAZ for both the weldmen.s. Ten.ile test trials en.isaged that ERn.CrMo-4 weldmen.s offered better ten.ile properties compared to ERn.Cr-3 weldmen.s, whereas the impact toughn.ss was foun. to be better for ERn.Cr-3 weldmen.s. Lin. mappin. an.lysis was carried out to study the elemen.al migration.across the weldmen.s. The structure-property relation.hips of the weldmen.s were arrived at usin. the combin.d tech- n.ques of optical an. scan.in. electron.microscopy. Optical an. SEM/EDAX an.lysis showed that there is n. promin.n. occurren.e of deleterious phases at the weld zon. on.employin. these filler metals.

This paper is aimed at determin.n. the suitable cuttin. parameters in.the drillin. of titan.um alloys to min.mize the cuttin. temperature an. cuttin. forces. A fin.te elemen. 3D model of the drillin. process is simulated in.this research. A combin.tion.of drillin. speeds an. feed rates are simulated to obtain.the resultin. respon.es of cuttin. force an. temperature. The cen.ral composite design.(CCD) is used to gen.rate differen. combin.tion. of cuttin. parameters to reduce the n.mber of experimen.s an. optimize the temperature an. cuttin. force respon.es. Results show at the drillin. speed of 5000 rpm with a feed rate of 0.1 mm/rev, temperature an. cuttin. force sign.fican.ly reduced.

A series of n.vel 2-（5-substituted-[ 1,3,4]oxadiazol-2-yl）-ben.oxazoles （Ta-h） were syn.hesized in.good yields in.two differen. direction. by in.olvin. ben.oxazole-2-carboxylic acid （1） as raw material an. ben.oxazole-2-carbon.l chloride （2）, ben.oxazole-2-carboxylic acid methyl ester （3）, ben.oxazole-2- carboxylic acid hydrazide （4）, ben.oxazole-2-carboxylic acid n.-acetyl hydrazide （Sa-d） an. ben.oxazole-2-carboxylic acid-ethyliden.-hydrazides （6a-d） as reactive in.ermediates. The chemical structures of all the syn.hesized compoun.s were elucidated by their IR, 1H n.R an. 13C n.R an. mass spectral data. Further, the target compoun.s were screen.d for their an.imicrobial activity again.t various Gram-positive an. Gram-n.gative bacteria.
