●AIM:To determin. the common.causes an. visual outcome after treatmen. amon. uveitis an. scleritis patien.s.●METHODS:This is a retrospective cohort observation.l *** con.ecutive clin.cal records of patien.s with n.wly diagn.sed uveitis an. scleritis over a 4-year period,from Jan.1,2017 to Dec.31,2020,were *** was collected at the presen.ation.an. in.luded a follow-up period of on. year.●RESULTS:A total of 288 patien.s were recruited durin. the study *** uveitis was the most common.an.tomical diagn.sis(50.0%)followed by pan.veitis(25.0%),scleritis(13.5%),posterior uveitis(6.9%),an. in.ermediate uveitis(4.5%).Viral Herpes was the most common.cause of in.ectious cases,while Vogt-Koyan.gi-Harada(VKH)disease an. human.leucocyte an.igen.HLA)B27 spon.yloarthropathy were the leadin. causes of iden.ifiable n.n.in.ectious *** of patien.s presen.ed with un.lateral,n.n.gran.lomatous uveitis with an.absen.e of *** location. like posterior uveitis an. pan.veitis,an. visual acuity worse than.3/60 at presen.ation.were the factors associated with poor visual outcomes(Pn.s had an.iden.ifiable cause for the uveitis an. scleritis,with n.arly equal distribution.of in.ectious(n.85,29.5%)an. n.n.n.ectious causes(n.84,29.2%).About 14.5%of patien.s were clin.cally blin. at 1y of *** most common.complication.in.our uveitis patien.s was glaucoma(47.5%),followed by cystoid macula oedema(18.9%)an. cataract(13.9%).●COn.LUSIOn.Uveitis an. scleritis are importan. causes of ocular *** are poten.ially blin.in. diseases which can.have a good outcome if diagn.sed an. treated early.

It is well kn.wn.that Diabetes Specific n.trition.l Supplemen.s (DSn.s) are lin.ed to improved glycemic con.rol in.in.ividuals with diabetes. However, data on.efficacy of DSn.s in.prediabetics is limited. This was a two-armed, open.labelled, ran.omized con.rolled six-week study on.199 prediabetics [30 - 65 years;Glycosylated Hemoglobin.(HbA1c) 5.7% - 6.4% an./or Fastin. Blood Glucose (FBG) 100-125 mg/dl]. Two parallel phases were con.ucted: Acute Blood Glucose Respon.e (ABGR) an. In.erven.ion.phase. Prediabetic participan.s were ran.omized in.o test (n.= 100) an. con.rol (n.= 99). The primary objective was to assess the ABGR of DSn. versus an.isocaloric sn.ck, measured by in.remen.al Area un.er the Curve (iAUC). Test an. con.rol received 60 g of DSn. an. 56 g of isocaloric sn.ck (corn.lakes) respectively, both in.250 ml double-ton.d milk on.visit days 1, 15, 29 an. 43. Postpran.ial Blood Glucose (PPG) was estimated at 30, 60, 90, 120, 150 an. 180 min.tes. Durin. the 4 weeks in.erven.ion.phase, the test group received DSn. with lifestyle coun.ellin. (DSn. + LC) an. was compared with the con.rol receivin. lifestyle coun.ellin. alon. (LC alon.). Impact was studied on.FBG, HbA1C, an.hropometry, body composition. blood pressure, n.trien. in.ake, an. physical activity. The impact of DSn. was also studied usin. CGM between.two 14-day phases: CGM1 baselin. (days 1 - 14) an. CGM2 en.lin. (days 28 - 42). DSn. showed sign.fican.ly lower PPG versus isocaloric sn.ck at 30 (p 12, an. chromium were reported by DSn. + LC versus LC alon.. n. other sign.fican. chan.es were reported between.groups. It may be con.luded that DSn. may be con.idered as a sn.ck for prediabetic or hyperglycemic in.ividuals requirin. n.trition.l support for improved glycemic con.rol.

Chron.c pan.reatitis (CP) is a progressive in.lammatory disorder of the pan.reas. It is predomin.n.ly idiopathic (with an.un.n.wn.cause) in.In.ia an. mostly due to alcohol in.the West. Mild an. severe model of CP was in.uced in.mice by repeated in.raperiton.al in.ection. of cerulein.an. L-argin.n. respectively with an.in.en. to study islet dysfun.tion.an. develop therapeutic strategy in.an.mal models of CP. Dietary in.erven.ion.of epigallocatechin.3-gallate (EGCG) was tested in.both the models of CP for its ben.ficial effects on.in.ulin.secretory fun.tion.. Man. differen. lan.uages are spoken.in.In.ia, each lan.uage bein. the mother ton.ue of ten. of million. of people. While the lan.uages an. scripts are distin.t from each other, the grammar an. the alphabet are similar to a large exten.. On. common.feature is that all the In.ian.lan.uages are phon.tic in.n.ture. In.this paper we describe the developmen. of a tran.lit- eration.scheme Om which exploits this phon.tic n.ture of the alphabet. Om uses ASCII characters to represen. In.ian.lan.uage alphabets, an. thus can.be read directly in.En.lish, by a large n.mber of users who can.ot read script in.other In.ian.lan.uages than.their mother ton.ue. It is also useful in.computer application. where local lan.uage tools such as email an. chat are n.t yet available. An.ther sign.fican. con.ribution.presen.ed in.this paper is the developmen. of a text editor for In.ian.lan.uages that in.egrates the Om in.ut for man. In.ian.lan.uages in.o a word processor such as Microsoft Win.ord?. The text editor is also developed on.Java? platform that can.run.on.Un.x machin.s as well.
