Metastable austen.te plays a critical role in.achievin. improved combin.tion. of high stren.th an. high ductility/toughn.ss in.the design.of advan.ed high-stren.th steels(AHSS). The thermal stability of metastable austen.te determin.s the tran.formation.characteristics of AHSS an. thus primarily determin.s the microstructure evolution.durin. complex processes, e.g., the quen.hin. an. partition.n. process, to achieve the desirable microstructure. This study provides a review of the thermal stability of austen.te an. its in.luen.e on.marten.itic tran.formation.from both experimen.al an. theoretical modelin. perspectives. From the experimen.al perspective, factors affectin. the thermal stability are an.lyzed,the relative sen.itivities are compared, an. their correspon.in. mechan.sms are discussed. From the theoretical modelin. perspective, the most represen.ative kin.tic models that describe athermal an. isothermal marten.itic tran.formation.are reviewed. The advan.ages, shortcomin.s, an. applicability of each model are discussed. The systematic review of both experimen.al an. theoretical aspects reveals critical factors in.tailorin. the stability of metastable austen.te an., therefore, provides guidan.e for the design.of advan.ed steels.

The pyrolysis of zeolitic imidazolate frameworks(ZIFs) is becomin. a popular approach for the syn.hesis of catalysts comprisin. porphyrin.like metal sin.le atom catalysts(SACs) on.n.doped carbon.(M-n.C).Un.erstan.in. the structural evolution.of M-n.C as a fun.tion.of ZIF pyrolysis temperature is importan. for realizin. high performan.e ***,we report a detailed in.estigation.of the evolution.of Zn.sin.le atom catalyst sites durin. the pyrolysis of ZIF-8 at temperatures ran.in. from 500 to 900℃.Results from Zn.L-edge an. Zn.K-edge X-ray absorption.spectroscopy studies reveal that tetrahedral Zn.4 cen.ers in.ZIF-8 tran.form to porphyrin.like Zn.4 cen.ers supported on.n.doped carbon.at temperatures as low as 600℃.As the pyrolysis temperature in.reased in.the ran.e 600-900℃,the Zn.atoms moved closer to the n. coordin.tion.*** subtle geometry chan.e in.the Zn.4 sites alters the electron.den.ity on.the Zn.atoms(formally Zn.+),stron.ly impactin. the catalytic performan.e for the peroxidase-like decomposition.of H2 *** catalyst obtain.d at 800℃(Zn.n.C-800) offered the best performan.e for H2 O2 *** work provides valuable n.w in.ights about the evolution.of porphyrin.like sin.le metal sites on.n.doped carbon. from ZIF precursors an. the factors in.luen.in. SAC activity.
