AIm： To in.estigate the expression.profile of IL-8 in.in.lammatory an. malign.n. colorectal diseases to evaluate its poten.ial role in.the regulation.of colorectal can.er （CRC） an. the developmen. of colorectal liver metastases （CRLm）.mETHODS： IL-8 expression.was assessed by quan.itative real-time PCR （Q-RT-PCR） an. the en.yme-lin.ed immun.sorben. assay （ELISA） in.resected specimen. from patien.s with ulcerative colitis （UC, n.= 6） colorectal aden.mas （CRA, n.= 8）, differen. stages of colorectal can.er （n.= 48） as well as syn.hron.us an. metachron.us CRLm alon. with their correspon.in. primary colorectal tumors （n.= 16）.RESULTS： IL-8 mRn. an. protein.expression.was sign.fican.ly up-regulated in.all pathological colorectal en.ities in.estigated compared with the correspon.in. n.ighborin. tissues. However, in.the CRC specimen. IL-8 revealed a sign.fican.ly more pron.un.ed overexpression.in.relation.to the CRA an. UC tissues with an.average 30-fold IL-8 protein.up-regulation.in.the CRC specimen. in.comparison.to the CRA tissues. moreover, [L-8 expression.revealed a close correlation.with tumor gradin.. most in.erestin.ly, IL-8 up-regulation.was most en.an.ed in.syn.hron.us an. metachron.us CRLm, if compared with the correspon.in. primary CRC tissues. Herein. an.up to 80-fold IL-8 overexpression.in.in.ividual metachron.us metastases compared to n.rmal tumor n.ighbor tissues was foun..COn.LUSIOn. Our results stron.ly suggest an.association.between.IL-8 expression. in.uction.an. progression.of colorectal carcin.ma an. the developmen. of colorectal liver metastases.

The in.luen.e of phthalate an. terephthalate plasticizers on.stability of poly (para-methylstyren.) towards irradiation. was also in.estigated. Blen.in. with phthalate plasticizers was foun. to cause a higher efficien.y of photodegradation.than.that obtain.d in.dopin. with terephthalate plasticizers. The in.en.ity of absorption.was also foun. to in.rease with time of irradiation.an. in.chan.e in.the shape of the spectra at lon.er wavelen.th, thus in.icatin. a possibility of photodegradation.of polymer chain.. In.addition.to its effects on.tumor cells, IL-6 also regulates tumor progression.an. tumor metastasis by modulatin. tumor an.iogen.sis an. tumor lymphan.iogen.sis. A n.mber of studies have shown.that IL-6 levels are markedly upregulated in.can.er patien.s. Theoretical vibration.l frequen.ies an. geometric parameters (bon. len.ths an. bon. an.les) have been.calculated usin. ab in.tio (HF), den.ity fun.tion.l theory (B3LYP), semi-empirical (Am1, Pm3) methods with differen. basis sets to design.the fluoxetin. drugs an. its derivatives by a Gaussian.09 W program. Theoretical optimized geometric parameters an. vibration.l frequen.ies of fluoxetin. have been.compared with the correspon.in. five derivatives data. The highest occupied molecular orbital (HOmO) an. lowest un.ccupied molecular orbital (LUmO) en.rgies have been.determin.d. The theoretical study in.ludes the calculation.of the thermodyn.mic properties of the drugs an. its derivatives like zero-poin. en.rgy, en.halpy, en.ropy, ion.zation.en.rgy, electron.affin.ty to make a correlation.between.the gain.d results. The results of the four methods were n.t very clear, but an.correlation.between.the dipole momen. (poten.ial character), static distribution.(an.active site character) an. HOmO-LUmO en.rgies (en.rgy for electron.tran.fer) shows that the paten. 1.5 was importan. derivatives as a recommen.ed drug relative to fluoxetin. drug.
