In this study,the best manufacturing process will be selected to build an automotive crash box using green oil palm natural fibre-reinforced polyurethane composite *** paper introduces an approach consist of technical aspects(T),the economic point of view(E)and availability(A),and it’s also called as TEA *** approach was developed with the goal of assisting the design engineer in the selection of the best manufacturing process during the design phase at the criteria selection *** this study,the TEA requirement will integrate with the analytical hierarchy process(AHP)to assist decision makers or manufacturing engineers in determining the most appropriate manufacturing process to be employed in the manufacture of a composite automotive crash box(ACb)at the early stage of the product development *** is obvious that a major challenge in the manufacturing selection process is lack of information regarding manufacturing of ACb using natural fibre composite(nFC).There have been no previous studies that examined ranking manufacturability processes in terms of their ***,the TEA-AHP hybrid method was introduced to provide unprejudiced criteria-ranking selection prior to evaluation of pairwise *** the end of this study,the pulforming process was selected as the best manufacturing process for fabrication of the ACb structural component.

A hybrid conceptual design approach was introduced in this study to develop a conceptual design of oil palm polymer composite automotive crash box(ACb). A combination of theory of inventive problem solving(TRIZ), morphological charts and biomimetics was applied where the foremost requirements in terms of the material characteristics, function specifications, force identification, root cause analysis, geometry profile and design selection criteria were considered. The strategy was to use creations of nature to inspire five innovative conceptual designs of the ACb structure and the AHP method was applied to perform the pairwise analysis of selecting the best ACb conceptual design. A new conceptual design for a composite ACb was conceived bearing in mind the properties of natural fibre, unlike those of conventional materials such as steel alloys and aluminium alloys. The design with the highest ranking(26.6 %) was chosen as the final conceptual design, which was the one with a honeycomb structure for the outermost profile, reinforced with a spider web structure inside the part, supported by fibre foam structure extracted from the woodpecker sponge tissue at the centre to maximize the energy absorption capability. The new design could solve the problem of bending collapse which is a major cause of failure to absorb maximum impact energy for ACb during collision. However, the final conceptual design will still need several modifications for production and assembly purposes, which will be completed in a further study.

The peristaltic flow of a Walter＇s b fluid in an endoscope is studied. The problem is modeled in a cylindrical coordinate system. The main theme of the present analysis is to study the endoscopic effects on the peristaltic flow of the Waiter＇s b fluid. To the best of the authors＇ knowledge, no investigation has been made so far in the literatures to study the Walter＇s b fluid in an endoscope. Analytical solutions axe obtained using the regular perturbation method by taking 5 as a perturbation parameter. The approximate analytical solutions for the pressure rise and friction forces are evaluated using numerical integration. The effects of emerging parameters of the Waiter＇s b fluid are presented graphically.

We propose a new ion-trap geometry to carry out accurate measurements of the quadrupole shifts in the （171）Yb *** trap will minimize the quadrupole shift due to the harmonic component of the confining potential by an order of *** will be useful to reduce the uncertainties in the clock frequency measurements of the 6s 2s（1/2）→4f（13）6s2 2F（7/2）and 6s 2s（1/2）→5d2D（3/2） transitions,from which we can deduce the precise values of the quadrupole moments（0s） of the 4f（13）6s2 2F（7/2） and 5d2D（3/2） ***,it may be able to affirm the validity of the measured 0 value of the4f（13）6s22F（7/2） state,for which three independent theoretical studies defer almost by one order of magnitude from the *** also calculate 0s using the relativistic coupled-cluster（RCC） *** use these 0 values to estimate the quadrupole shift that can be measured in our proposed ion trap experiment.

Approximate analytical solutions and mean energies of stationary schrodinger equation for general molecular potential

The schrodinger equation is solved with general molecular potential via the improved quantization *** for bound state energy eigenvalues,radial eigenfunctions,mean kinetic energy,and potential energy are obtained in compact *** modeling the centrifugal term of the effective potential,a Pekeris-like approximation scheme is ***,we use the Hellmann–Feynman theorem to derive the relation for expectation *** state energy eigenvalues,wave functions and meanenergies of Woods–saxon potential,Morse potential,Mobius squared and Tietz–Hua oscillators are deduced from the general molecular *** addition,we use our equations to compute the bound state energy eigenvalues and expectation values for four diatomic molecules viz.H_(2),CO,HF,and O_(2).Results obtained are in perfect agreement with the data available from the literature for the potentials and *** also show that as the vibrational quantum number increases,the mean kinetic energy for the system in a Tietz–Hua potential increases slowly to a threshold value and then *** in a Morse potential,the mean kinetic energy increases linearly with vibrational quantum number increasing.

Chloride binding and time-dependent surface chloride content models for fly ash concrete

Corrosion of embedded rebars is a classical deterioration mechanism of reinforced concrete structures exposed to chloride environments. such environments can be attributed to the presence of seawater, deicing or sea-salts, which have high concentrations of chloride ion. Chloride ingress into concrete, essential for inducing rebar corrosion, is a complex interaction between many physical and chemical processes. The current study proposes two chloride ingress parameter models for fly ash concrete, namely： 1） surface chloride content under tidal exposure condition; and 2） chloride binding. First, inconsistencies in surface chloride content and chloride binding models reported in literature, due to them not being in line with past research studies, are pointed out. secondly, to avoid such inconsistencies, surface chloride content and chloride binding models for fly ash concrete are proposed based upon the experimental work done by other researchers. It is observed that, proposed models are simple, consistent and in line with past research studies reported in literature.
