This paper presents a novel method of power quality enrichment in a grid-connected photovoltaic(PV) system using a distribution static compensator(DSTATCOM). The paper consists of two-step control processes. In the primary step, a fuzzy logic controller(FLC) is employed in the DC-DC converter to extract the peak power point from the PV panel, where the FLC produces a switching signal for the DC-DC *** the secondary step, a unit vector template(UVT)/adaptive linear neuron(ADALInE)-based least mean square(LMS) controller is adopted in the DC-AC converter, i. e., voltage source converter(VSC). The input to this VSC is the boosted DC voltage, which originates from the PV panel as a result of DC-DC conversion. The VSC shunted with the power grid is known as a DSTATCOM, which can maintain the power quality in the distribution system. The UVT controller generates reference source currents from the grid voltages and DC-link *** ADALInE-based LMS controller calculates the online weight according to the previous weights by the sensed load current. The UVT/ADALInE-based LMS controller of a DSTATCOM performs several tasks such as maintaining the sinusoidal source current, achieving a unity power factor, and performing reactive power compensation. The reference current extracted from the UVT/ADALInE-based LMS controller is fed to the hysteresis current controller to obtain the desired switching signal for the VSC. A 100 k W solar PV system integrated into a three-phase four-wire distribution system through a four-leg VSC is designed in MATLAB/Simulink. The performances of the FLC and UVT/ADALInE-based LMS controllers are demonstrated under various irradiances as well as constant temperature and nonlinear loading conditions.

In this paper, an analytical model for computing the resonant frequency of the gap-coupled ring microstrip patch antennas is developed. The analytical model is based upon the cavity model along with circuit theory. Using the field expressions and boundary conditions, the transcendental equation for the structure is developed. The analytically computed results are compared with the simulated results. The simulation work is carried out by using computer simulation technology(CST) microwave studio *** comparison between simulated and computed results shows good agreement.

The synthesis, characterization, thermal degradation and stability of polyaniline （PAnI）, poly（m-nitroaniline）, poly（m-chloroaniline） and poly（o-methylaniline） were reported. Different properties were measured and compared with PAnI to find out the effect of electron donating groups （-CH3） and electron withdrawing groups （-Cl, -nO2）. It was found that the presence of any type of substitution in the benzene ring of aniline increased the solubility but reduced the yield, thermal stability and electrical conductivity. Two probe methods were used to measure the electrical conductivity of these polymers. The structural properties of these polymers were characterized by using FTIR and UV-Vis spectroscopic methods. Thermal degradation and stability of these polymers were explained by using thermogravimetric analysis （TGA） and conductivity measurements.

In a multistrand,the outlet near the inlet produces short circuiting *** leads to the formation of dead zones inside the tundish,and consequently,the mean residence time *** the present study,numerical investigation of mixing inside a delta shaped tundish with sloping boundaries was carried out by solving the navier-Stokes equation and employing the standard turbulence *** decrease the dead zone volume inside the tundish,the effect of closing the outlet near the inlet for a small amount of time and further opening it on the mixing behavior of the tundish was *** outlets near the inlet were closed for varying amount of time,and the transient analysis of fluid flow and the tracer dispersion study were carried out to find the mixing parameters of the tundish,namely,mean residence time and the ratio of mixed to dead volume of the *** optimum closure time of the near outlet has been found,which yields best mixing inside the *** numerical code was validated against the experimental observation by performing the tracer dispersion study inside a multistrand tundish and the reasonably good match between the experimental and numerical results in terms of residence time distribution （RTD） *** results obtained from the present study confirm the strong role of choosing the right time for opening and closing the outlets to get improved characteristics for the fluid flow and mixing behavior of the *** educational version of computational fluid dynamics （CFD） software PHOEnICS was used to solve the governing equations and interpret the results in different forms.

Massive multiple-input multiple-output(massive MIMO)is a promising approach in wireless communication systems for providing improved link reliability and spectral effi-ciency and it helps several *** main aim is to solve pilot contamination issue in massive MIMO systems;this research paper utilizes two approaches for reducing the *** paper presents the user grouping approach based on sparse fuzzy C-means clustering(sparse FCM),which groups user parameters based on parameters such as large-scale fading factor,SInR,and user ***,same pilot sequences are assigned to center users in which the impact of pilot contamination is limited,while the algorithm assigns orthogonal pilot sequences to the edge users that suffer severely from pilot ***,the proposed user grouping keeps away from the inappropriate grouping of users,enabling effective grouping even under the worst situations of the ***,pilot scheduling is done based on elephant spider monkey optimization(ESMO),which is designed by integrating elephant herding optimization(EHO)into spider monkey optimization(SMO).The performance of pilot scheduling based on grouping-based ESMO is evaluated based on achievable rate and *** proposed method achieves maximal achievable rate of 41.29 bps/Hz and maximal SInR of 124.31 dB.
