The metal-organic framework(MOF)derived ni–Co–C–n composite alloys(niCCZ)were“embedded”inside the carbon cloth(CC)strands as opposed to the popular idea of growing them upward to realize ultrastable energy storage and conversion *** niCCZ was then oxygen functionalized,facilitating the next step of stoichiometric sulfur anion diffusion during hydrothermal sulfurization,generating a flower-like metal hydroxysulfide structure(niCCZOS)with strong partial implantation inside *** obtained niCCZOS shows an excellent capacity when tested as a supercapacitor electrode in a three-electrode ***,when paired with the biomass-derived nitrogen-rich activated carbon,the asymmetric supercapacitor device shows almost 100%capacity retention even after 45,000 charge–discharge cycles with remarkable energy density(59.4 Wh kg^(-1)/263.8μWh cm^(–2))owing to a uniquely designed ***,the same electrode performed as an excellent bifunctional water-splitting electrocatalyst with an overpotential of 271 mV for oxygen evolution reaction(OER)and 168.4 mV for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)at 10 mA cm−2 current density along with 30 h of unhinged chronopotentiometric stability performance for both HER and ***,a unique metal chalcogenide composite electrode/substrate configuration has been proposed as a highly stable electrode material for flexible energy storage and conversion applications.

Adsorption and separation of C_(4) hydrocarbons are crucial steps in petrochemical *** of porous materials for enhancing the separation efficiency have paid much ***-organic frameworks of diamond-topology,dia-COFs,often exhibit unique structural properties such as interpenetration isomerism and pedal ***,in order to get a deep insight into the structure-performance correlation of such dia-COFs,a series of dia-COF materials have been proposed and theoretically investigated on the C_(4) *** is found that these dia-COFs display an excellent adsorption and separation property towards isobutene with respect to other C_(4) hydrocarbons(i.e.,1,3-butadiene,1-butene,2-cis-butene,2-trans-butene,isobutane and n-butane).What’s more,the correlation between the topology parameters and experimental synthesis feasibility has been established for COF-300(dia-cn),and the unreported COF-300(dia-c3) is predicted to be experimentally feasible *** findings not only provide a deep insight into the mechanism of topology characteristics of dia-COFs on C_(4) adsorption and separation properties but also guide the design and synthesis of novel highly-effective porous materials.

Marine ecosystems provide a wide variety of diverse habitats that frequently promote migration and ecological *** extent to which the geographic distribution of marine organism has reshaped by human activities remains *** limitations intrinsic to morphology-based identification systems have engendered an urgent need for reliable genetic methods that enable the unequivocal recognition of fish species,particularly those that are prone to overexploitation and/or market *** the present study,however,an attempt has been taken to identify two locally adapted fish species,Siganus sutor(Valenciennes,1835)and Seriolina nigrofasciata(Rüppell,1829)of order Perciformes,which happens to be the first record in Odisha coast,Bay of *** diagnostic characteristics of Siganus sutor are:dorsal fin XIII-10,anal fin VII-9,pectoral fin 15,pelvic fin II-3,while that of Seriolina nigrofasciata dorsal fin VI-I-35,anal fin I-17,pectoral fin 16,pelvic fin *** COI barcodes generated in this study were matched with reference sequences of expected species,according to morphological *** and likelihood phylogenetic trees were drawn based on DnA barcodes and all the specimens clustered in agreement with their taxonomic classification at the species *** phylogeographic studies based on haplotype network and migration rates suggest that both the species were not panmitic and the high-frequency population distribution indicates successful *** result of this study provides an important validation of the use of DnA barcode sequences for monitoring species diversity and changes within a complex marine ecosystem.

Chloroacetamide herbicides,namely acetochlor and metolachlor,are common herbicides used on corn and soybean *** safeners,namely benoxacor and furilazole,are commonly used in formulations containing chloroacetamide *** reports on adsorption of chloroacetamide herbicides are available,yet little information exists regarding adsorption potential of co-applied ***,the adsorption and desorption characteristics of selected herbicide safeners to granular activated carbon(GAC) and in agricultural soils are ***,soil column studies were performed to understand the leaching behaviour of the herbicide Dual II *** sorption experiments of safeners to three agricultural soils and one GAC showed that adsorption was best fitted by the Freundlich *** Freundlich adsorption constant,kf,for benoxacor and furilazole sorption onto three agricultural soils ranged from0.1 to 0.27 and 0.1 to 0.13(mg/g) x(mg/L)(1/n),*** kf for benoxacor and furilazole to GAC was 6.4 and 3.4(mg/g) x(mg/L)(1/n),respectively,suggesting more favorable sorption of benoxacor to GAC than furilazole to *** sorption to soils was reversible as almost 40%-90% of both safeners was desorbed from three *** results were validated in four replicated soil column studies,where S-metolachlor was shown to leach similarly to the safener benoxacor,originating from the herbicide *** leaching of S-metolachlor and benoxacor was influenced by soil ***,these results show that safeners will move through the environment to surface waters similarly to the active ingredients in herbicides,but may be removed during drinking water treatment via GAC.

First-principles approaches have been successful in solving many-body Hamiltonians for real materials to an extent when correlations are weak or *** the electronic correlations become stronger often embedding methods based on first-principles approaches are used to better treat the correlations by solving a suitably chosen many-body Hamiltonian with a higher level *** success of such embedding theories,often referred to as second-principles,is commonly measured by the quality of self-energy E which is either a function of energy or momentum or ***,E should,in principle,also modify the electronic eigenfunctions and thus change the real space charge *** such practices are not prevalent,some works that use embedding techniques do take into account these *** such cases,choice of partitioning,of the parameters defining the correlated Hamiltonian,of double-counting corrections,and the adequacy of low-level Hamiltonian hosting the correlated subspace hinder a systematic and unambiguous understanding of such ***,for a large variety of correlated systems,strong correlations are largely confined to the charge *** an adequate non local low-order theory is important,and the high-order local correlations embedding contributes become *** we study the impact of charge self-consistency within two example cases,TiSez and CrBrs,and show how real space charge re-distribution due to correlation effects taken *** within a first-principles Green's function-based many-body perturbative approach is key in driving qualitative changes to the final electronic structure of these materials.

The Er-doped concentric-cores dispersion compensating fiber (EDDCF) has been demonstrated. The rare earth has been doped as a ring around the inner core. We have obtained 14-dB gain at 1550 nm (using 100-mW pump power and 980-nm wavelength) with dispersion of about -165 ps/(km·nm). It is useful for the optical fiber network where amplification as well as negative dispersion are necessary.

Efforts have been made to prepare nanocomposites of a-Fe2O3-ZnO by wet chemical route with varying concentrations of the *** microstructural properties of the samples are investigated by powder X-ray diffractometry（PXRD） and Transmission electron *** concentration of Zn ions（up to 20 at%） leads to the formation of nanocomposites of a-Fe2O3 and *** of ZnFe2O4 phase is detected by the substitution of higher concentration of Zn2？（30 at%） in the *** average size of the nanoparticles remains in the range of 22–27 nm as obtained from XRD *** results obtained from electron microscopic studies are also close to these *** measurement shows the excitonic peak of ZnO around 390 nm which gets strengthened with Zn *** spectra show the metal–oxygen band below 700 *** temperature Mssbauer studies of the samples show the transition of iron oxide form antiferromagnetic state to paramagnetic state with increasing concentration of Zn2？.Sharp quenching of hyperfine field with Zn concentration is observed as the Hintvalue reduced to zero from 51 T.

The identification of jets originating from quarks and gluons,often referred to as quark/gluon tagging,plays an important role in various analyses performed at the Large Hadron Collider,as Standard Model measurements and searches for new particles decaying to quarks often rely on suppressing a large gluon-induced *** paper describes the measurement of the efficiencies of quark/gluon taggers developed within the ATLAS Collaboration,using √s=13 TeV proton–proton collision data with an integrated luminosity of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the ATLAS *** taggers with high performances in rejecting jets from gluon over jets from quarks are studied:one tagger is based on requirements on the number of inner-detector tracks associated with the jet,and the other combines several jet substructure observables using a boosted decision tree.A method is established to determine the quark/gluon fraction in data,by using quark/gluon-enriched subsamples defined by the jet *** in tagging efficiency between data and simulation are provided for jets with transverse momentum between 500 GeV and 2 TeV and for multiple tagger working points.
