Background:Information addressing soil quality in developing countries often depends on results from small experimental plots,which are later extrapolated to vast areas of agricultural *** approach often results in misin-formation to end-users of land for sustainable soil nutrient *** objective of this study was to estimate the spatial variability of soil quality index(SQI)at regional scale with predictive models using soil–environmental ***:A total of 110 composite soil samples(0–30 cm depth)were collected by stratified random sampling schemes at 2–5 km intervals across the Cross River State,nigeria,and selected soil physical and chemical properties were *** employed environmental covariates derived from a digital elevation model(DEM)and Senti-nel-2 imageries for our modelling *** measured soil quality using two approaches[total data set(TDS)and minimum data set(MDS)].Two scoring functions were also applied,linear(L)and non-linear(nL),yielding four indices(MDS_L,MDS_nL,TDS_L,and TDS_nL).Eleven soil quality indicators were used as TDS and were further screened for MDS using principal component analysis(PCA).Random forest(RF),support vector regression(SVR),regression kriging(RK),Cubist regression,and geographically weighted regression(GWR)were applied to predict SQI in unsampled ***:The computed SQI via MDS_L was classified into five classes:≤0.38,0.38–0.48,0.48–0.58,0.58–0.68,and≥0.68,representing very low(classⅤ),low(classⅣ),moderate(classⅢ),high(classⅡ)and very high(classⅠ)soil quality,*** model was robust in predicting soil quality(R^(2)=0.21,CCC=0.39,RMSE=0.15),while RF was a model with inferior performance(R^(2)=0.02,CCC=0.32,RMSE=0.15).Soil quality was high in the southern region and low in the northern *** soil quality class(>49%)and moderate soil quality class(>14%)dominate the study area in all predicted models ***:Structural stability index,sand content,soil oga

Introduction: At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, a drop in the number of patients treated for cardiac emergencies raised concern about cardiovascular mortality in that period. An increase in care delay for patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) may have affected clinical outcomes. Objectives: To analyze delay times and clinical outcomes of patients with STEMI undergoing primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PPCI), before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: Retrospective observational study that included patients with STEMI undergoing PPCI from December 2018 to July 2021. The COVID-19 pandemic cases were divided into two groups: pandemic I—from March to August 2020;and pandemic II—from September 2020 to July 2021. Patients were compared according to the period of hospitalization. Primary outcomes were delay times in assistance and clinical outcomes (acute kidney injury [AKI], post-procedural vascular complications and in-hospital mortality). Results: 108 patients were included, 39 (36.1%) in the pre-pandemic period, 13 (12.1%) in pandemic I and 56 (51.8%) in pandemic II. Time from onset of symptoms to arrival at the service and door-to-balloon time did not differ significantly among groups. Vascular complications were more frequent during the pandemic (I and II) than in the pre-pandemic period (2.5% pre-pandemic vs 15.4% pandemic vs 12.5% pandemic II;p = 0.03). AKI incidence was similar in all three periods. There was a non-significant increase in in-hospital mortality during the COVID-19 pandemic. Conclusion: In patients with STEMI, there was an increase in vascular complications and a trend toward increased mortality during the COVID-19 pandemic. Delay times to admission and reperfusion did not differ significantly between before and during the pandemic.

The component analysis and structure characterization of complex mixtures of biomass conversion remain a challenging ***,developing effective and easy to use techniques is ***-ordered nMR spectroscopy(DOSY)is a non-selective and non-invasive method capable of achieving pseudo-separation and structure assignments of individual compounds from biomass mixtures by providing diffusion coefficients(D)of the ***,the conventional 1H DOSY nMR is limited by crowded resonances when analyzing complex mixtures containing similar chemical structure resulting in similar *** we describe the application of an advanced diffusion nMR method,Pure Shift Yielded by CHirp Excitation DOSY(PSYCHE-iDOSY),which can record high-resolution signal diffusion spectra efficiently separating compounds in model and genuine mixture samples from cellulose,hemicellulose and *** sets of isomers(D-glucose/D-fructose/D-mannose and 1,2-/1,5-pentadiol),homologous compounds(ethylene glycol and 1,2-propylene glycol),model compounds of lignin,and a genuine reaction system(furfuryl alcohol hydrogenolysis with ring opening)were successfully separated in the diffusion *** results show that the ultrahigh-resolution DOSY technique is capable of detecting and pseudo-separating the mixture components of C_(5)/C_(6) sugar conversion products and its derivative hydrogenation/hydrogenolysis from lignocellulose biomass.
