The paper presents an experimental study on the behavior of axial loaded concrete-filled steel square-tube stub columns with high strength fiber reinforced concrete until *** specimens were tested to investigate the effect of high strength concrete on the load carrying capacity of the concrete-filled steel square-tube stub *** effect of the presence of steel fiber in high strength concrete which filled in the steel tube was also *** main parameters in the tests were:(1)the strength of concrete(30 Mpa and 100 Mpa),and(2)the use of reinforcing steel fiber in concrete(plain high strength concrete and steel fiber high strength concrete).The main purpose of these tests were three-step:(1)to describe a series of tests on composite stub columns,(2)to analyze the influence of several parameters,and(3)to compare the accuracy of the predictions by using the specifications in the code(ACI and EC4 etc.)for the design of high-strength composite *** results indicate that the high strength of concrete and use of steel-fiber in concrete had significant influence on both the axial compressive load capacity and the ductile of the steel square-tube stub columns.

Among many biomaterials,gelatin methacrylate(GelMA),a photocurable protein,has been widely used in 3D bioprinting process owing to its excellent cellular responses,biocompatibility and ***,GelMA still shows a low processability due to the severe temperature dependence of *** overcome this obstacle,we propose a two-stage temperature control system to effectively control the viscosity of *** optimize the process conditions,we evaluated the temperature of the cooling system(jacket and stage).Using the established system,three GelMA scaffolds were fabricated in which different concentrations(0,3 and 10 wt%)of silanated silica particles were *** evaluate the performances of the prepared scaffolds suitable for hard tissue regeneration,we analyzed the physical(viscoelasticity,surface roughness,compressive modulus and wettability)and biological(human mesenchymal stem cells growth,western blotting and osteogenic differentiation)***,the composite scaffold with greater silica contents(10 wt%)showed enhanced physical and biological performances including mechanical strength,cell initial attachment,cell proliferation and osteogenic differentiation compared with those of the *** results indicate that the GelMA/silanated silica composite scaffold can be potentially used for hard tissue regeneration.

Background Central blood pressure （BP） is pathophysiologically more important than peripheral BP for the pathogenesis of cardiovascular disease. Arterial stiffness is also a good predictor of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. The effects of benidipine, a unique dual L-IT-type calcium channel blocker, on central BP have not been reported. This study aimed to compare the effect of benidipine and Iosartan on the central BP and arterial stiffness in mild to moderate essential hypertensives. Methods This 24 weeks, multi-center, open label, randomized, active drug comparative, parallel group study was designed as a non-inferiority study. The eligible patients （n=200） were randomly assigned to receive benidipine （n=101） or Iosartan （n=99）. Radial artery applanation tonometry and pulse wave analysis were used to measure the central BP, pulse wave velocity （PWV） and augmentation index （AIx）. We also measured the metabolic and inflammatory markers. Results After 24 weeks, the central BP decreased significantly from baseline by （16.8±14.0/10.5±9.2） mmHg （1 mmHg =0.133 kPa）（systolic/diastolic BP; P 〈0.001） in benidipine group and （18.9±14.7/12.1±10.2） mmHg （P 〈0.001） in Iosartan group respectively. Both benidipine and Iosartan groups significantly lowered peripheral BP （P 〈0.001） and AIx （P 〈0.05）, but there were no significant differences between the two groups. The mean aortic, brachial and femoral PWV did not change in both groups after 24-week treatment. There were no significant changes of the blood metabolic and inflammatory biomarkers in each group. Conclusion Benidipine is as effective as Iosartan in lowering the central and peripheral BP, and improving arterial stiffness.

AIM To investigate the efficacy and safety of endoscopic stent insertion in patients with delayed gastric emptying after *** In this study, we prospectively collected data from patients who underwent stent placement for delayed gastric emptying(DGE) after distal gastrectomy between June 2010 and April 2017, at a tertiary referral academic center. Clinical improvement, complications, and consequences after stent insertion were *** Technical success was achieved in all patients(100%). Early symptom improvement was observed in 15 of 20 patients(75%) and clinical success was achieved in all patients. Mean follow-up period was 1178.3 ± 844.1 d and median stent maintenance period was 51 d(range 6-2114 d). During the follow-up period, inserted stents were passed spontaneously per rectum without any complications in 14 of 20 patients(70%). Symptom improvement was maintained after stent placement without the requirement of any additional intervention in 19 of 20 patients(95%).CONCLUSION Endoscopic stent placement provides prompt relief of obstructive symptoms. Thus, it can be considered an effective and safe salvage technique for post-operative DGE.

Background:New-onset diabetes after transplantation(NODAT)is a serious complication following liver transplantation(LT).The present study aimed to investigate the incidence of and risk factors for NODAT using the Korean Organ Transplantation Registry(KOTRY)***:Patients with history of pediatric transplantation(age≤18 years),re-transplantation,multi-organ transplantation,or pre-existing diabetes mellitus were excluded.A total of 1,919 non-diabetic adult patients who underwent a primary LT between May 2014 and December 2017 were *** factors were identified using Cox regression ***:NODAT occurred in 19.7%(n=377)of adult liver transplant *** analysis showed steroid use,increased age,and high body mass index(BMI)in recipients,and implantation of a left-side liver graft was closely associated with NODAT in adult *** living donor liver transplant(LDLT)patients(n=1,473),open donor hepatectomy in the living donors,steroid use,small for size liver graft(graft to recipient weight ratio≤0.8),increased age,and high BMI in the recipient were predictive factors for *** use of antimetabolite and basiliximab induction reduced the incidence of NODAT in adult LT and in adult ***:Basiliximab induction,early steroid withdrawal,and antimetabolite therapy may prevent NODAT after adult *** BMI or advanced age in liver recipients,open donor hepatectomy in living donors,and small size liver graft can predict the occurrence of NODAT after adult LT or LDLT.

全新世古洪水事件的重建是当前全球变化研究的一个热点.通过长江下游一个稳定江心洲上沉积剖面的粒度和有机元素组成分析,清晰地揭示出主要粒度参数、概率累积曲线和C-M图可以指示洪水事件沉积,而沉积有机质的TOC/TN因为反映大洪水期间,长江流域强烈的地表冲刷将大量降解不完全的碎屑有机质带入下游,也成为洪水事件的较好示踪标志.根据210Pb堆积速率,研究剖面的粒度及TOC/TN比值清晰地记录了长江干流1850～1954年期间的若干次特大洪水事件,与历史文献和水文监测资料吻合.然而自20世纪60年代以来,长江流域人类活动显著增强,尤其是大量水坝兴建,将大量粗颗粒泥沙和沉积有机质蓄积在水库中,而显著改变长江下游干流的悬浮沉积物粒度和有机质组成,因而难以可靠地指示近50年来的洪水事件.
