本文将低压平行板等离子体用于控制天然皮革的表面可湿性，提高其可染性，防水性和湿擦性能。经过等离子体处理后，由于等离子体的原子团和离子的轰击，使得天然皮革不均匀的表面趋于光滑。试验表明，亲水性随着表面处理时间的增加而增强。CF4等离子体处理可以显著提高天然皮革的防水性能，且不使其脱色。等离子体处理后，湿擦性能可以提高大约2级（使用灰度色标）。由此，我们可以断言，重复进行等离子体处理，将会提高皮革的湿擦效果。

This study explores the differences of fish assemblages in three macrotidal estuaries of Man-gyeong River Estuary(MRE),Geum River Estuary(GRE),and Han River Esturay(HRE)with similar ranges of seasonal water temperature that are diked with different levels of disconnection from freshwater *** distribution of major species in the three estuaries could generally be grouped into three distinctive patterns based on their cumulative distribution with respect to the salinity *** MRE was geographically closer to the GRE than to the HRE,but the fish community of the MRE more closely resembled that of the *** freshness of the water inside the dike and the limit of coastal fish to the river may have led to this *** results provide clues to how enclosure patterns of estuarine waters could affect fish communities over a long-term *** addition,the information may provide guidance for how a fish community may return once environmental conditions are restored.

BACKGROUND：Prothymosinα（PTMA）is a nuclear oncoprotein-transcription factor essential for cell cycle progression and *** was overexpressed in several human malignancies including hepatocellular carcinoma（HCC）.However,the prognostic significance of PTMA protein expression in HCC remains *** the present study,we evaluated PTMA protein expression by immunohistochemistry in order to elucidate the prognostic roles of PTMA in HCC ***： By immunohistochemistry, we investigated the expression of PTMA protein in tumor tissue from 226 HCC patients who underwent curative hepatectomy. Univariate and multivariate analyses were performed to evaluate its predic- tive value for tumor recurrence and survival of patients. The median follow-up period was 120 months. RESULTS： PTMA expression was observed in 162 （71.7%） of the 226 HCC patients and was significantly associated with higher Edmondson grade, microvascular invasion, intrahe- patic metastasis, higher American Joint Committee on Cancer （AJCC） T-stage, and lower albumin level. PTMA expression was an independent predictor of early recurrence （P=0.001）. PTMA expression showed an unfavorable influence on recurrence- free survival （RFS）（P〈0.001）. Subgroup analysis showed that among patients with tumor size _〈5.0 cm （140 patients）, patients at AJCC T-stage I （95 patients） and patients with a-fetoprotein ≤20 ng/mL （83 patients）, the differences in RFS between PTMA- positive and PTMA-negative groups were also statistically sig- nificant （P=0.017, P=0.002 and P=0.002, respectively）. In addi- tion, PTMA expression was an independent predictor of shorter RFS （P=0.011）. PTMA expression showed an unfavorable influ- ence on overall survival （P=0.014）, but was not an independent predictor of shorter overall survival （P=0.161）. CONCLUSIONS： PTMA protein expression might be a novel predictor of early recurrence and RFS in HCC patients, even those at early stage or with a-fetoprotein-negative after curative hep

In this work, we analyzed only the patients of the NSTEMI (non ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction) who arrived at the hospital within 12 h after symptoms started. Using NSTEMI follow-up data within, the characteristics of the clinical data, the risk factor, and the blood tested in the hospital visit were analyzed for MACE (major adverse cardiac events) patients. MACE includes cardiac death, MI (myocardial infarction), Re-PCI, and CABG (coronary artery bypass graft). As a result, from the NSTEMI patients which can be followed up for over 12 m, NT-ProBNP (p=0.014) and age (p=0.045) are found to be the independent risk factors related to MACE. Accordingly, they can be useful for the diagnosis and prognosis for NSTEMI patients as a biomarker.

Layered-type transition metal(TM)oxides are considered as one of the most promising cathodes for K-ion batteries because of the large theoretical gravimetric capacity by low molar ***,they suffer from severe structural change by de/intercalation and diffusion of K^(+)ions with large ionic size,which results in not only much lower reversible capacity than the theoretical capacity but also poor power ***,it is important to enhance the structural stability of the layered-type TM oxides for outstanding electrochemical behaviors under the K-ion battery ***,it is investigated that the substitution of the appropriate Ti^(4+)contents enables a highly enlarged reversible capacity of P3-type KxCrO_(2) using combined studies of first-principles calculation and various *** the pristine P3-type KxCrO_(2) just exhibits the reversible capacity of∼120 mAh g^(−1) in the voltage range of 1.5-4.0 V(vs.K^(+)/K),the∼0.61 mol K^(+)corresponding to∼150 mAh g^(−1) can be reversible de/intercalated at the structure of P3-type K0.71[Cr_(0.75)Ti_(0.25)]O_(2) under the same ***,even at the high current density of 788 mA g^(−1),the specific capacity of P3-type K0.71[Cr_(0.75)Ti_(0.25)]O_(2) is∼120 mAh g^(−1),which is∼81 times larger than that of the pristine P3-type KxCrO_(2).It is believed that this research can provide an effective strategy to improve the electrochemical performances of the cathode materials suffered by severe structural change that occurred during charge/discharge under not only K-ion battery system but also other rechargeable battery systems.

Biodegradable hydrogels are promising biomaterials for use in controlled-release systems for skin tissue regeneration. Controlled delivery systems constitute an important aspect of tissue engineering because they can modulate various physiological responses, including early immune response, tissue remodeling, and cell proliferation and maturation in the wound-healing process. Hydrogels composed of various biomaterials have been developed to overcome the limitations of conventional drug- or protein-delivery systems, such as limited targeting ability, low stability, and the induction of drug resistance. Hydrogels based on keratin, a natural polymer extracted from human hair, can provide adequate cell support and control homeostasis. Consequently, they can be applied for skin tissue engineering. In this study, we prepared degradable, tunable, and biocompatible hydrogels for controllable protein delivery. We synthesized keratin-fibrinogen (KER-FBG) by the chemical coupling reaction and prepared hydrogels through polymerization with thrombin. The structures and morphologies of the KER-FBG hydrogels were confirmed. Furthermore, the mechanical properties, swelling ratio, degradation, release behavior, and biocompatibility were investigated. The KER-FBG hydrogels presented promising biological performance, indicating that the material is suitable as a controlled protein delivery carrier.

Eradication rate and histological changes after Helicobacter pylori eradication treatment in gastric cancer patients following subtotal gastrectomy

AIM: To investigate the eradication rate and histological changes after Helicobacter pylori(H. pylori) eradication treatment following subtotal gastrectomy for gastric ***: A total of 610 patients with H. pylori infection who had undergone surgery for either early or advanced gastric adenocarcinoma between May 2004 and December 2010 were retrospectively studied. A total of 584 patients with proven H. pylori infection after surgery for gastric cancer were enrolled in this study. Patients received a seven day standard triple regimen as first-line therapy and a 10 d bismuthcontaining quadruple regimen as second-line therapy in cases of eradication failure. The patients underwent an esophagogastroduodenoscopy(EGD) between six and 12 mo after surgery, followed by annual EGDs. A further EGD was conducted 12 mo after confirming the result of the eradication and the histological changes. A gastric biopsy specimen for histological examination and Campylobacter-like organism testing was obtained from the lesser and greater curvature of the corpus of the remnant stomach. Histological changes in the gastric mucosa were assessed using the updated Sydney system before eradication therapy and at follow-up after 12 ***: Eradication rates with the first-line and second-line therapies were 78.4%(458/584) and 90%(36/40), respectively, by intention-to-treat analysis and 85.3%(458/530) and 92.3%(36/39), respectively, by per-protocol analysis. The univariate and multivariate analyses revealed that Billroth Ⅱ surgery was an independent factor predictive of eradication success in the eradication success group(OR = 1.53, 95%CI: 1.41-1.65, P = 0.021). The atrophy and intestinal metaplasia(IM) scores 12 mo after eradication were significantly lower in the eradication success group than in the eradication failure group(0.25 ± 0.04 vs 0.47 ± 0.12, P = 0.023; 0.27 ± 0.04 vs 0.51 ± 0.12, P = 0.015, respectively).
