This paper introduces an effective anti-icing strategy that uses passive anti-icing property and active de-icing functions *** dual capabilities can alleviate the icing problem more effectively than either a passive or active function *** developed material is a slippery liquid-repellent elastic conductor(SLEC);it is an organogel that is composed of multi-walled carbon nanotubes,oil,and *** SLEC maintains passive water-droplet sliding ability even on wet surfaces that frequently occur in cold conditions(e.g.,during condensation and defrosting),suppresses ice nucleation,and shows ice adhesion strength as low as^20 *** SLEC releases heat when it is subject to electrical or photonic stimulation,and can therefore it can prevent ice formation and melt ice that has already formed on a *** material has sustainable liquid repellence by syneresis and replenishment;this ability ensures long-lasting anti-icing property,and results in exceptional *** durability is stable against mechanical *** superior dual anti-icing capabilities together with the sustainable and stable liquid repellence should generate synergistic effects,and yield a powerful anti-icing tool that can broaden the range of icing applications.

This paper is concerned with evaluation of various ductile fracture criteria in a general three-dimensional stress state of stress triaxiality, the Lode parameter and the equiva- lent plastic strain to fracture. Evaluation is carried out by comparing fracture loci constructed by fracture criteria to experimental results of A12024-T351. Comparison demonstrates that the Modified Mohr-Coulomb criterion and a newly proposed criterion provide sufficient predictabil- ity of fracture strain. Moreover, evaluation is emphasized on the predicted cut-off value for stress triaxiality. The evaluation demonstrates that the Cockcroft-Latham, Brozzo, Oh, Ko-huh and the new criteria coupled a reasonable cut-off value for ductile materials.

We report the structural and photoluminescence(PL) properties of Nd^(3+)-doped Y_(2)O_(3)-SiO_(2) powders(Y_(2)O_(3)-SiO_(2):Nd^(3+)) as functions of annealing temperature and Nd^(3+) ion doping concentration.Y_(2)O_(3)-SiO_(2):Nd^(3+)powders were prepared using the high-energy ball-milling(HEBM) method,and their structural and PL properties were investigated using X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform infrared(FTIR) spectroscopy,and PL *** XRD results reveal a cubic phase without impurities,and the peak broadening decreases with an increase in annealing temperature due to the increase in the crystallite *** PL emission intensity increases with an increase in annealing *** highest PL emission intensity is observed for the 300-min milled mixture annealed at 1000℃ for 1 h with a Nd^(3+) concentration of 1 mol%.The PL peaks excited by 800 nm radiation were detected,centered at 1080 nm(^(4)F_(3/2)→^(4)I_(11/2)) and 1350 nm(^(4)F_(3/2)→^(4)I_(13/2)).

We present a regularity condition of a suitable weak solution to the MHD equations in three dimensional space with slip boundary conditions for a velocity and magnetic vector fields. More precisely, we prove a suitable weak solution are HSlder continuous near boundary provided that the scaled mixed Lx,t^p,q-norm of the velocity vector field with 3/p ＋ 2/q 〈 2, 2 〈 q 〈 ∞ is sufficiently small near the boundary. Also, we will investigate that for this 3 2〈3 solution U ∈ Lx,t^p,q with 1 〈 3＋p ＋2/q＋≤3/2, 3 〈 p 〈 ∞, the Hausdorff dimension of its singular set is no greater than max{p, q}（3/q＋2/q- 1）.

In this paper,we prove some Liouville-type theorems for the stationary magnetomicropolar fluids under suitable conditions in three space *** first prove that the solutions are trivial under the assumption of certain growth conditions for the mean oscillations of the *** then we show similar results assuming that the solutions are contained in L^(p)(R^(3))with p∈[2,9/2).Finally,we show the same result for lower values of p∈[1,9/4)with the further assumption that the solutions vanish at infinity.

In linear optics, photons are scattered in a network through passive optical elements including beam splitters and phase shifters, leading to many intriguing applications in physics, such as Mach–Zehnder interferometry, the Hong–Ou–Mandel effect, and tests of fundamental quantum mechanics. Here we present the fundamental limit in the transition amplitudes of bosons, applicable to all physical linear optical networks. Apart from boson sampling, this transition bound results in many other interesting applications,including behaviors of Bose–Einstein condensates(BEC) in optical networks, counterparts of Hong–Ou–Mandel effects for multiple photons, and approximating permanents of matrices. In addition,this general bound implies the existence of a polynomial-time randomized algorithm for estimating the transition amplitudes of bosons, which represents a solution to an open problem raised by Aaronson and Hance(Quantum Inf Comput 2012; 14: 541–59). Consequently, this bound implies that computational decision problems encoded in linear optics, prepared and detected in the Fock basis, can be solved efficiently by classical computers within additive errors. Furthermore, our result also leads to a classical sampling algorithm that can be applied to calculate the many-body wave functions and the S-matrix of bosonic particles.

An analysis of the recent major security incidents related to industrial control systems,revealed that most had been caused by company ***,enterprise security management systems have been developed to focus on companies’***,several hacking incidents,involving major companies and public/financial institutions,were actually attempted by the cooperative firms or the outsourced manpower undertaking maintenance ***,institutions that operate industrial control systems(ICSs)associated with critical national infrastructures,such as traffic or energy,have contracted several cooperative ***,ICT’s importance is gradually increasing,due to outsourcing,and is the most vulnerable factor in *** paper proposes a virtualized security management scheme for the resident cooperative firms in the industrial control *** such companies often cannot afford adequate investment in security,the scheme is to let an ICS company provide the virtualized *** of its merits is the convenience of controlling a VDI server at the *** cooperative firms were classified,based on their respective security levels,and statistics were collected throughout a four-year period for the *** paper analyzes the policies and virtualization systems that have been applied to the security of the partner companies,which engaged in ICS security.A suitable model for ICS security was then proposed by analyzing their effects on the system efficiencies,based on the comparisons of the security inspection results obtained before and after *** proposed system is expected to contribute to industrial safety.

A New Algorithm for Sea Fog／Stratus Detection Using GMS-5 IR Data

A new algorithm for the detection of fog/stratus over the ocean from the GMS-5 infrared (IR) channel data is presented. The new algorithm uses a clear-sky radiance composite map (CSCM) to compare the hourly observations of the IR radiance. The feasibility of the simple comparison is justified by the theoretical simulations of the fog effect on the measured radiance using a radiative transfer model. The simulation results show that the presence of fog can be detected provided the visibility is worse than 1 km and the background clear-sky radiances are accurate enough with known uncertainties. For the current study, an accurate CSCM is constructed using a modified spatial and temporal coherence method, which takes advantage of the high temporal resolution of the GMS-5 observations. The new algorithm is applied for the period of 10–12 May 1999, when heavy sea fog formed near the southwest coast of the Korean Peninsula. Comparisons of the fog/stratus index, defined as the difference between the measured and clear-sky brightness temperature, from the new algorithm to the results from other methods, such as the dual channel difference of NOAA/AVHRR and the earth albedo method, show a good agreement. The fog/stratus index also compares favorably with the ground observations of visibility and relative humidity. The general characteristics of the fog/stratus index and visibility are relatively well matched, although the relationship among the absolute values, the fog/stratus index, visibility, and relative humidity, varies with time. This variation is thought to be due to the variation of the atmospheric conditions and the characteristics of fog/stratus, which affect the derived fog/stratus index.
