Vector surveillance is very key in solving mosquito-borne health problems in *** this end,the composition and distribution of mosquito vectors in a peri-urban community surrounding an institution of learning in Lafia metropolis,Nasarawa state,Central Nigeria was carried out between December 2016 and June *** Prokopack Aspirator was used to collect indoor resting mosquitoes between 6:00 *** 9:00 *** 30 randomly selected *** collected were knocked down and transferred into a well labelled petri-dish and taken to the laboratory for processing.A total of 664 mosquitoes were collected which spread across Culex quinquefasciatus 572(86.14%),Anopheles gambiae 88(13.25%)and Aedes aegypti 4(0.60%).The abundance of mosquitoes in relation to seasons,species,sex,abdominal conditions as well as transmission indices across seasons significantly varied(Pstribution of mosquito in relation to house types showed no significant difference(P>0.05).The inhabitants of the area should ensure that all drainag.s.flow through so as to reduce mosquito breeding ***,members of the community should always protect themselves by sleeping under insecticide treated bed nets.

Revisiting cerebral endothelial cells in Alzheimer’s disease

Alzheimer’s disease(AD)is the most common neurodegenerative disorder characterized by slow and progressive decline of cognitive and memory *** only approximately 5%of the cases,AD is familial,as often predisposed by genetic mutations(Hoogmartens et al.,2021),while sporadic AD accounts for approximately 95%of the *** amyloid cascade hypothesis is one of the fundamental hypotheses put out to explain AD pathogenesis as dysregulated homeostasis of amyloid-β(Aβ)peptides that leads to the accumulation of Aβplaques in the parenchyma,an anatomical hallmark of AD.

γ-secretase,called“the proteasome of the membrane,”is a membrane-embedded protease complex that cleaves 150+peptide substrates with central roles in biology and medicine,including amyloid precursor protein and the Notch family of cell-surface *** inγ-secretase and amyloid precursor protein lead to early-onset familial Alzheimer’s disease.γ-secretase has thus served as a critical drug target for treating familial Alzheimer’s disease and the more common late-onset Alzheimer’s disease as ***,critical gaps remain in understanding the mechanisms of processive proteolysis of substrates,the effects of familial Alzheimer’s disease mutations,and allosteric modulation of substrate cleavage byγ-*** this review,we focus on recent studies of structural dynamic mechanisms ofγ-*** mechanisms,including the“Fit-stay-Trim,”“sliding-Unwinding,”and“Tilting-Unwinding,”have been proposed for substrate proteolysis of amyloid precursor protein byγ-secretase based on all-atom molecular dynamics *** an incorrect reg.s.ry of the Notch1 substrate was identified in the cryo-electron microscopy structure of Notch1-boundγ-secretase,molecular dynamics simulations on a resolved model of Notch1-boundγ-secretase that was reconstructed using the amyloid precursor protein-boundγ-secretase as a template successfully capturedγ-secretase activation for proper cleavag.s.of both wildtype and mutant Notch,being consistent with biochemical experimental *** approach could be potentially applied to decipher the processing mechanisms of various substrates byγ-*** addition,controversy over the effects of familial Alzheimer’s disease mutations,particularly the issue of whether they stabilize or destabilizeγ-secretase-substrate complexes,is ***,an outlook is provided for future studies ofγ-secretase,including pathways of substrate binding and product release,effects of modulators on familial Alzheimer’s disease mutations

Dirichlet series with real frequencies which represent entire functions on the complex plane C have been investigated by many authors. several properties such as topological structures, linear continuous functionals, and bases have been considered. Le Hai Khoi derived some results with Dirichlet series having negative real frequencies which represent holomorphic functions in a half plane. In the present paper, we have obtained some properties of holomorphic Dirichlet series having positive exponents, whose coefficients belong to a Banach algebra.

We solve Einstein＇s field equations in higher-dimensional spherically symmetric spacetime with strange quark matter attached to the string cloud, assuming one parameter group of con formal motions. The solutions match with the higher-dimensional Reissner-Nordstroem metric on the boundary at r=ro. The features of the solutions are also discussed in the framework of higher-dimensional spacetime.

Basing on the analysis of the traits of the roll forging process, a system-model of computer simulation has been established. Three-dimensional rigid-plastic FEM has been used for the simulation of the deformation process in the oval and round pass rolling, including the entering, rolling, and separating.s.ag.s. The analysis was conducted using the Deform-3D ver.5.0 code. The important information concerned with the deformation area characteristic, material flow, and velocity field has been presented. Otherwise, the location of the neutral plane in the deformation area was shown clearly.

Optimization of cloud load balancing using fitness function and duopoly theory

Purpose-Current industrial scenario is largely dependent on cloud computing ***-demand services provided by cloud data centre are paid as per ***,it is very important to make use of the allocated resources to the *** resource utilization is highly dependent on the allocation of resources to the incoming *** allocation of requests is done with respect to the physical machines present in the *** allocating the tasks to these physical machines,it needs to be allocated in such a way that no physical machine is underutilized or over *** make sure of this,optimal load balancing is very ***/methodology/approach-The paper proposes an algorithm which makes use of the fitness functions and duopoly game theory to allocate the tasks to the physical machines which can handle the resource requirement of the incoming *** major focus of the proposed work is to optimize the load balancing in a *** optimization happens,none of the physical machine is neither overloaded nor under-utilized,hence resulting in efficient utilization of the ***-The performance of the proposed algorithm is compared with different existing load balancing algorithms such as round-robin load(RR)ant colony optimization(ACO),artificial bee colony(ABC)with respect to the selected parameters response time,virtual machine migrations,host shut down and energy *** the four parameters gave a positive result when the algorithm is ***/value-The contribution of this paper is towards the domain of cloud load *** paper is proposing a novel approach to optimize the cloud load balancing *** results obtained show that response time,virtual machine migrations,host shut down and energy consumption are reduced in comparison to few of the existing algorithms selected for the *** proposed algorithm based on the duopoly function and fitness function brings in an optimized performance

A systematic review of progenitor survival and maturation in Parkinsonian models

stem cell-based brain repair is a promising emergent therapy for Parkinson's disease based on years of foundational research using human fetal donors as a cell *** current therapeutic options for patients,this approach has the potential to provide longterm stem cell–derived reconstruction and restoration of the dopaminergic input to denervated regions of the brain allowing for restoration of certain functions to *** ultimate clinical success of stem cell–derived brain repair will depend on both the safety and efficacy of the approach and the latter is dependent on the ability of the transplanted cells to survive and differentiate into functional dopaminergic neurons in the Parkinsonian *** the pre-clinical literature sugg.s.s that there is considerable variability in survival and differentiation between studies,the aim of this systematic review was to assess these parameters in human stem cell-derived dopaminergic progenitor transplant studies in animal models of Parkinson's disease.A defined systematic search of the PubMed database was completed to identify relevant studies published up to March *** screening,76 articles were included in the analysis from which 178 separate transplant studies were *** these,graft survival could be assessed in 52 studies and differentiation in 129 ***,we found that graft survival ranged froms transplanted,with a median of 51%of transplanted cells surviving in the brain;while dopaminergic differentiation of the cells ranged from 0% to 46% of cells transplanted with a median of 3%.This systematic review sugg.s.s that there is considerable scope for improvement in the differentiation of stem cell-derived dopaminergic progenitors to maximize the therapeutic potential of this approach for patients.
