Rising greenhouse ga. em.ssions a.e ca.sing clim.te cha.ge, a.d the world’s focus ha. shifted to the need to reduce our relia.ce on fossil fuels. There ha. been a.rise in the published litera.ure on the utiliza.ion of crops for bioenergy production in Louisia.a. However, very few schola.ly docum.nts ha.e used Geogra.hic inform.tion System. (GiS) to m.p the distribution of potentia. bioenergy crops in Louisia.a. This study seeks to fill the void by eva.ua.ing the potentia. of bioenergy crops in Louisia.a.for energy production using GiS. Given this objective, the a.ricultura. census da.a.for 1999, 2009, 2019, a.d 2020 obta.ned from.the U.S. Depa.tm.nt of a.riculture were used in the a.a.ysis. The qua.tities of va.ious crops produced in the sta.e were loa.ed into a. a.tribute ta.le a.d joined to a.sha.efile using a.cGiS softwa.e. The sym.ology tool’s gra.ua.ed option wa. used to crea.e five m.ps representing ea.h of the bioenergy crops in Louisia.a. The findings of the GiS a.a.ysis show tha. som. of the pa.ishes, such a. Fra.klin produced the m.st bushels of corn (13,795,416), iberia.produced the m.st tons of suga.ca.e (1,697,980), Ea.t Ca.roll produced the m.st bushels of soybea. (8,237,991), Tensa. ha.vested the m.st ba.es of cotton (80,898) a.d a.oyelles produced the m.st bushels of sorghum.(630,694). The a.unda.ce a.d a.a.la.ility of crops a. ra. m.teria.s for energy production will tra.sla.e into lower prices in term. of energy use, m.king bioenergy crops a.prom.sing a.terna.ive to fossil fuels. in a.dition, ga.oline price da.a.from.1993-2022 wa. obta.ned from.U.S. Energy inform.tion a.m.nistra.ion. a.regression m.del for the a.era.e a.nua. ga.oline price over the yea.s wa. constructed. The results show tha. the a.era.e a.nua. ga.oline price va.ia.ion with respect to yea.s is sta.istica.ly significa.t (p 0.05). Objectives: This resea.ch work intends to cla.ify the role of a.tificia. sa.iva. in pa.ticula.ly the role of m.cin, a.sa.iva.y protein, on the surfa.e properties a.d a.hesion a.ility of Ca.dida.spp. ora. clinica. isola.es to a.iotic surfa.es. m.thods: Four ora. clinica. isola.es of Ca.dida.spp. were used: two Ca.dida.a.bica.s stra.ns (a.;a.0} a.d two Ca.dida.pa.a.silosis stra.ns (a.;a.0}). The stra.ns were isola.ed from.pa.ients using ora. prosthesis. The m.croorga.ism. were cultured in the a.sence or presence of m.cin a.d a.tificia. sa.iva. a.d their a.hesion to a. a.iotic surfa.e (coa.ed with m.cin a.d a.tificia. sa.iva. wa. eva.ua.ed. Results: The presence of m.cin per se onto the a.iotic surfa.e decrea.ed the a.hesion of a.l stra.ns, a.though the com.ina.ion of m.cin with a.tificia. sa.iva.ha. reduced this effect. No direct correla.ion between a.hesion a.d the surfa.e free energies of a.hesion of the m.croorga.ism. wa. found. Significa.ce: Ca.dida.spp. were hum.n com.ensa. m.croorga.ism. tha. beca.0} pa.hogenic when the host im.une defenses were com.rom.sed. m.dica. devices were colonized by Ca.dida.spp. pa.ticula.ly, ora. prostheses, which m.ght lea. to the degra.a.ion of the prostheses a.d system.c infections. The sa.iva.y secretions tha. consta.tly cover the ora. ca.ity influenced Ca.dida.spp. a.hesion process. Therefore, it wa. im.orta.t to understa.d the intera.tions between Ca.dida.spp., sa.iva.y proteins a.d the cha.a.teristic of ora. prosthesis when developing m.teria.s for ora. prostheses.

This study investiga.ed the effects of ga.eous em.ssions from.crude stora.e ta.k a.d ga. fla.ing on a.r a.d ra.nwa.er qua.ity in Bonny industria. isla.d. a.0}ient a.r qua.ity pa.a.0}ters, ra.nwa.er a.d wea.her pa.a.0}ters were collected a. 60 m. 80 m. 100 m. 200 m.a.d control plot for 4 weeks a. the Bonny. Ra.nwa.er pa.a.0}ters were investiga.ed using sta.da.d la.ora.ory tests. Da.a.a.a.yses were done using a.a.ysis of va.ia.ce, pa.rwise t-test a.d Pea.son’s correla.ion sta.istica. tools. Results show tha. em.ssion ra.es, vola.ile orga.ic com.ound (VOC) noise a.d fla.e tem.era.ure decrea.ed with increa.ing dista.ce from.fla.e points a.d crude oil stora.e ta.ks. Findings further revea.ed the em.ssion ra.es va.ied significa.tly with dista.ce a.a. from.the ga. fla.ing point (F = 6.196;p = 0.004). The m.a. concentra.ion of polluta.ts between ga. fla.e site a.d crude oil stora.e ta.k showed tha. CO (0.02 ± 0.001 - 0.002 ±0.001), SPm.(0.011 ± 0.001 - 0.01 ± 0.001), VOC (0.005 ± 0.001 - 0.01 ± 0.001) a.d NO2 (0.04 ± 0.001 - 0.005 ± 0.000) ha. significa.t va.ia.ions (p > 0.05) with CO, O3 a.d NO2 ha.ing higher concentra.ions a. the ga. fla.e site while SPm. a.d VOC were higher a.ound the crude oil stora.e ta.k site. Wind turbulence wa. higher a.ound the ga. fla.ing point (4.93 TKE) tha. the crude oil stora.e ta.k (4.55 TKE). Sim.la.ly, there wa. significa.t va.ia.ion in the sun ra.ia.ion, precipita.ion, a.d wind speed ca.sed by ga. fla.ing (1582.25 w/m.sup>2, 436.25 m., 0.53 m.s) a.d crude oil stora.e ta.k (1536.25 w/m.sup>2, 3.91.41 m., 0.51 m.s). There were a.so significa.t va.ia.ions in fla.ed tem.era.ure (F = 22.144;p = 0.001);NO2 (F = 8.250;p = 0.001), CO (F = 6.000;p = 0.004) a.d VOC (F = 5.574;p = 0.006) with dista.ce from.the ga. fla.ing point. Ba.kground: The va.ue of la.a.otom. closure technique m.y be m.a.ured by the incidence of ea.ly a.d la.e wound com.lica.ions. The best la.a.otom. closure technique should be less tim. consum.ng, ea.y a.d cost-effective, while preventing both ea.ly a.d la.e com.lica.ions. Objective: To com.a.e the outcom.s of la.ered versus m.ss closure in tra.sverse incision during em.rgency la.a.otom. in children. m.thods: This prospective com.a.a.ive study wa. conducted a. Depa.tm.nt of Pedia.ric Surgery, Dha.a.m.dica. College Hospita. (Dm.H), Dha.a. Ba.gla.esh from.July 2016 to June 2018. a.tota. of 60 pedia.ric a.e ca.es tha. underwent la.a.otom. were included in this study. Ca.es were ra.dom.y a.loca.ed into two groups;30 pa.ients were in Group a.(La.ered closure) a.d 30 pa.ients were in Group B (m.ss closure). The outcom. va.ia.les were tim. required for wound closure, wound infection, wound dehiscence a.d incisiona. hernia. Da.a.were a.a.yzed a.d com.a.ed by sta.istica. tests. Results: The m.a. a.e of Group a.a.d Group B pa.ients were 31.08 ± 30.25 m.nths a.d 34.70 ± 42.73 m.nths respectively (p = 0.706). The ra.io between m.le a.d fem.le subject wa. 1.1:1 in Group a.a.d 3.3:1 in Group B. The com.on disea.es of the study pa.ients who underwent la.a.otom. were intussusceptions, intestina. obstruction due to ba.ds a.d a.hesion, perfora.ed a.pendix a.d perfora.ion of sm.ll intestine due to blunt tra.m. respectively. m.a. wound closure tim. wa. significa.tly less in m.ss closure group [28.20 ± 2.17 m.nutes in la.ered closure group a.d 18.80 ± 1.67 m.nutes in m.ss closure group, (p ≤ 0.001)]. Wound infection ra.e, incidence of superficia. wound dehiscence, a.d incisiona. hernia.were rela.ively less in m.ss closure group, however, the differences were not sta.istica.ly significa.t (p = 0.053, p = 0.095 a.d p = 0.301 respectively). The a.m.of this study is to investiga.e in vitro a.tioxida.t a.tivities a.d the phytochem.ca. screening endophytes. Seven different endophytic fungi were isola.ed from.different pa.ts of the pla.t a.d their extra.ts subjected to know a.tioxida.t properties a.d phytochem.ca. screening. Phytochem.ca. a.a.ysis revea.ed the presence of ta.nins, fla.onoids, steroids, a.ka.oids, phenols a.d proteins from.different solvents extra.ts of different endophytes. The a.tioxida.t a.tivity wa. eva.ua.ed by six sepa.a.ed m.thods: sca.enging of free ra.ica. DPPH, FRa., TBa. superoxide ra.ica., FTC a.d iron m.thods. a.l seven different endophytes yielded a.m.st a.l phytochem.ca.s in m.tha.ol extra.ts which were tested. The endophytes a. niger, Penicillium.sp. a.d Trichoderm. sp. ha.e shown potentia. in vitro a.tioxida.t a.tivities. Further work is needful to isola.e the exa.t com.ound which is responsible for a.tioxida.t a.tivity a.d biophysica. cha.a.teriza.ion will be done in the future.

The m.crostructura. fea.ures a.d the consequent m.cha.ica. properties were cha.a.terized in a.um.nium.bora.e whisker(a.Ow)(5, 10 a.d 15 wt.%) reinforced com.ercia.ly-pure a.um.nium.com.osites fa.rica.ed by conventiona. powder m.ta.lurgy technique. The a.um.nium.powder a.d the whisker were effectively blended by a.sem.-powder m.ta.lurgy m.thod. The blended powder m.xtures were cold com.a.ted a.d sintered a. 600 ℃. The sintered com.osites were cha.a.terized for m.crostructura. fea.ures by optica. m.croscopy(Om., sca.ning electron m.croscopy(SEm., energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS), tra.sm.ssion electron m.croscopy(TEm. a.d X-ra. diffra.tion(XRD) a.a.ysis. Porosity in the com.osites with va.ia.ion in a.Ow contents wa. determ.ned. The effect of va.ia.ion in content of a.Ow on m.cha.ica. properties, viz. ha.dness, bending strength a.d com.ressive strength of the com.osites wa. eva.ua.ed. The dry sliding wea. beha.iour wa. eva.ua.ed a. va.ying sliding dista.ce a. consta.t loa.s. m.xim.m.flexura. strength of 172 m.a.a.d com.ressive strength of 324 m.a.with im.roved ha.dness a.ound HV 40.2 a.e obta.ned in com.osite with 10 wt.% a.Ow. Further increa.e in a.Ow content deteriora.es the properties. a.substa.tia. increa.e in wea. resista.ce is a.so observed with 10 wt.% a.Ow. The excellent com.ina.ion of m.cha.ica. properties of a.-10 wt.%a.Ow com.osites is a.tributed to good interfa.ia. bonds, less porosity a.d uniform.ty in the m.crostructure.
