Today,due to the increasingly stringent European directives concerning the use of molecules with certain toxicities towards the environment or their users,the essential oils,extracts,and molecules derived from plants exhibiting the characteristic of being biodegradable can be considered as a source of green corrosion inhibitors instead of harmful synthetic *** present work was devoted to testing the essential oil extracted from Mentha pulegium leaves(M1) as a corrosion inhibitor for C-steel in 1mol/L HCl solution using both electrochemical techniques and gravimetric measurements for the evaluation of the inhibition efficiencies at different *** results obtained showed that the inhibition efficiency increased with an increase in Ml concentration to reach a maximum value of 92.21%.We sought to determine the molecule responsible for this high efficiency,starting with the analysis of oil chemical composition by gas chromatography coupled with mass *** analysis revealed that menthol(M2)and isomenthol(M3)were the principal *** order to identify the molecule responsible for the inhibition and explain the protection mechanism involved,quantum chemical calculations and Monte Carlo simulations were used to explain the interaction of menthol,the major constituent of M1 with the *** practically confirm these results,we studied the action of 1mol/L HCl on steel with and without the addition of M2 by both methods(gravimetric and electrochemical study).A very high efficiency was obtained,an efficiency of 94.90% at 10^-3 mol/L,which was retained for a long exposure time,and slightly decreased in function of ***,a good correlation between the experimental data,theoretical calculations,and SEM studies was obtained,which denied that the Ml efficiency was only a result of a synergy effect and confirmed the high efficiency of Mentha oil and its main component(menthol)as a strong ecological inhibitor of corrosion.

Land surface displacement caused by landslides is among the most damaging phenomena in northern Morocco. In this paper, we measure ground deformation in the Chefchaouen area which is a zone characterized by geological formations and structurally complex losses that promote instability (landslide, mudflow, block falls, etc.) leading to slow to extremely slow deformation phenomena, which require an interferometric study, using the DinSAR (differential interferometric synthetic Aperture Radar) technique with sentinel 1 images in bance C, which is a powerful tool for the detection and analysis of interferences and monitoring of ground deformations. We worked on four areas of the study area. Its points are provided by the direction of the roads, which generates Interferograms and then deformation maps with precision in mm/year.

Despite the very high burden of malaria among children in Borno state, the proportion of those who receive standard treatment has been very low. This study aimed to determine malaria knowledge, attitude towards prevention, and health care seeking behaviours of parents or caregivers of children presenting with fever at the paediatric clinic of a secondary-level hospital in Maiduguri, Borno state, Nigeria. A cross-sectional study design was used to obtain information from the respondents. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire, from the parents or caregivers of children presented to the Paediatric clinic with history of fever, and analysed in SPSS. A total of 331 respondents were finally recruited into the study. The ages of the children ranged from one to fourteen years. Some of them (15.3%) were internally displaced persons (IDPs). As many as 90.7% and 91.9% of the respondents believed that malaria is a life-threatening illness, and ITNs could prevent malaria, respectively. Less than a half of them (42.3%) had immediately brought their children to the hospital once they detected the fever. At the hospital, only 202 (60.7%) of the children had had malaria parasite test done on them, of which 89.1% tested positive. Permanent residents were more likely to promptly take their children to the hospital, one they detected fever, compared to IDPs ( 2=12.401, df =1, p=0.002). There is the need for promoting early presentation of febrile children to health centres, and also promoting routine malaria tests for febrile persons.

Parkinson's disease is a neurodegenerative disorder caused by loss of dopamine neurons in the substantia nigra pars compacta. Tremor, rigidity, and bradykinesia are the major symptoms of the disease. These motor impairments are often accompanied by affective and emotional dysfunctions which have been largely studied over the last decade. The aim of this study was to investigate emotional processing organization in the brain of patients with Parkinson's disease and to explore whether there are differences between recognition of different types of emotions in Parkinson's disease. We examined 18 patients with Parkinson's disease(8 men, 10 women) with no history of neurological or psychiatric comorbidities. All these patients underwent identical brain blood oxygenation level-dependent functional magnetic resonance imaging for emotion evaluation. Blood oxygenation level-dependent functional magnetic resonance imaging results revealed that the occipito-temporal cortices, insula, orbitofrontal cortex, basal ganglia, and parietal cortex which are involved in emotion processing, were activated during the functional control. Additionally, positive emotions activate larger volumes of the same anatomical entities than neutral and negative emotions. Results also revealed that Parkinson's disease associated with emotional disorders are increasingly recognized as disabling as classic motor symptoms. These findings help clinical physicians to recognize the emotional dysfunction of patients with Parkinson's disease.

In this paper, we present a linear matrix inequality （LMI）-based solution to implement H-two and H- infinity decentralized robust control strategies. Appropriate parametrization of optimal H-two and H-infinity controllers is used. The general formulation of the decentralized control design leads to the optimal determination of both the state feedback gains and the observer gains of the decentralized controllers. This formulation is two folds： first, a centralized controller is obtained, and then, a simplified decentralized solution is derived by optimizing only the observer gains. The mathematical determination of these gains is formulated as an LMI optimization problem that can be easily solved using LMI solvers. As an experimental evaluation of these controllers, a real time application to an aerothermic process is carried out. A continuous-time model of the process obtained with a suitable direct continuous-time identification approach is elaborated. Energy generation and consumption are the main aspects of social life due to the fact that modern people’s necessity for energy is a crucial ingredient for existence. Therefore, energy efficiency is regarded as the best economical approach to provide safer and affordable energy for both utilities and consumers, through the enhancement of energy security and reduction of energy emissions. One of the problems of cloud computing service providers is the high rise in the cost of energy, efficiency together with carbon emission with regards to the running of their internet data centres (IDCs). In order to mitigate these issues, smart micro-grid was found to be suitable in increasing the energy efficiency, sustainability together with the reliability of electrical services for the IDCs. Therefore, this paper presents idea on how smart micro-grids can bring down the disturbing cost of energy, carbon emission by the IDCs with some level of energy efficiency all in an effort to attain green cloud computing services from the service providers. In specific term, we aim at achieving green information and communication technology (ICT) in the field of cloud computing in relations to energy efficiency, cost-effectiveness and carbon emission reduction from cloud data center’s perspective.
